Cricket was abandoned on a busy road and took refuge on a porch of a very nice family who cared for her overnight until Animal Control was back on duty. She is a different girl.. A little shy but friendly. She does not do well with other dogs and would be best as only dog. Online adoption form at www.fobac.org and you may call us also at 860-828-7055

Story
Welcome Dozer to CCPAL Rescue. He is a gorgeous Pitbull/ American Bulldog. He is about 3 years old. He is decent on the leash and is kennel trained at the rescue. He would be a great companion for some lucky family. We would love him to go to a family that is familiar with the Pittie and or has had one before. He has energy but he is a great lounger as well. If you had a fenced yard, he could do a few laps and be ready to sit at your feet while you read. He would love to join you on jogs, walks or hikes. He also would like to it by you while you read. He is healthy, neutered and vaccinated. He is currently in Texas and can be adopted locally or we can work with one of the wonderful transporters to get Dozer to Washington, Portland, Minnesota, Vermont or all along the East Coast. His adoption fee is 250 and transport is 180. Rhode Island and Massachusetts are not states we adopt to because of the regulations imposed by these states Contact Marlene at 210-867-1769 or email to ccpalinquiries@gmail.com if you have questions. Online applications at www.ccpal.info/ See his cute video!!

Story
Welcome Tucker to CCPAL Rescue Foster Program. Tucker is a 1-year-old Pitbull dog. He was found as a stray on the construction site and a wonderful good Samaritan found him and is fostering him until he finds his forever home. His hair is super soft and his is gushy sweet. He warms up slow to new people and is very bonded and loyal to his human. He has an adorable underbite. He would be willing to wear outfits and hats if it is what his human wanted. He is great on leash and doesn’t pull and he is good in a car. He doesn’t shed and is a very very clean boy. He likes to keep his feet clean and really manages to stay out of any messes other dogs would normally get into. He is good in his crate and he is potty trained. He currently lives with other dogs but he is jealous of attention. His best home would really be where he can be the only dog and get all the snuggles from his family. I think a quieter home over the family that has a loud bustling group of people in it. He would be perfect for the single woman or man who would like a companion animal to walk, jog hike or cuddle with. He doesn’t need lots of exercise for happiness. He is an inside dog and loves to be in the house next to his person. He can stay in his crate while you work. He can also be trusted outside his crate. He is healthy, vaccinated, neutered and ready for his forever home. He is currently in Texas and can be adopted locally. We can work with one of the wonderful transporters to get him to Washington, Portland, Minnesota, Vermont or all along the East Coast. His adoption fee is 300 and transport is 200. Contact Marlene at 210-867-1769 or email ccpalinquiries@gmail.com if you have questions. Online applications at www.ccpal.info/ See his cute video!!

Story
Name: Rango Nicknames: Rango Bango. Buddy. Handsome. Breed: Pit Bull Mix Age: 2 years Weight: 88 lbs. Before OMD: Owner surrender to the rescue due to a change in the family dynamic. Was adopted him out from OMD and subsequently returned after being attacked by the resident dog which resulted in guarding his human due to underlying fear. We have since had him at a board and train for a full professional evaluation, to work on basic training and better assess his behaviors, needs, and ideal home. Energy Level: Medium. Relatively chill in the home but has his wild child moments (he particularly loves his zoomies outside). We think he would thrive with daily walks and/or a yard to zoom in. What we love most: When he walks over, rests his head on your lap, and looks up at you. He’s also wooed a volunteer by putting his very large head on her shoulder on their car ride. What he loves most: Toys. Treats. Cuddling. Car rides. Outside play time and zooming. His dog bed (which he often shimmies half of himself off of) but will ultimately plop himself wherever you area. Cuddling. If you forced us to say one bad thing about him: He snores. You should know: You’ll need to check your insecurity at the door, because you won’t be the best looking in the room But seriously: He may be a big intimidating looking guy to some, but at his core, he is often fearful and underconfident. He will thrive with an owner who can understand this and set him up for success. While he meets the vast majority of people with no problems, certain people and dogs do make him uncomfortable and he needs to have slow introductions What he knows: Sit. Lay Down. Eat. Outside. Place (work in progress). Working on: Pulling on leash (He.Is.Strong.). Keeping four on the floor when meeting new people. Dogs: Currently lives with a senior male Pittie and does very well. Any dog siblings should be medium-large as small dogs get him a bit riled up. Cats: That’s a no. Kids: 12+ please. He is large, strong, and jumpy when excited. House-trained: Yep! Crate-trained: Sure is! Rango is neutered, vaccinated, and microchipped. He is available for adoption to residents of CT and surrounding states. If you are interested in adopting, please complete an application from omdrescue.org.
