Story
Cricket was abandoned on a busy road and took refuge on a porch of a very nice family who cared for her overnight until Animal Control was back on duty. She is a different girl.. A little shy but friendly. She does not do well with other dogs and would be best as only dog. Online adoption form at www.fobac.org and you may call us also at 860-828-7055

Story
Name: LaylaBreed: Pitbull mixAge: 4 years oldDogs: NoCats: NoKids: NoI'm Layla! Let me tell you a little bit about myself:At 4 years young I have plenty of zest for life! I love spending time with my people, whether it be getting some cuddles and butt scratches, going for car rides, getting my zoomies out in our expen, playing with the hose; I love water, or my absolute favorite thing, going on walks, I'm not hard to please! I prefer an introverted lifestyle, minimal foot traffic at home and low-key quality time with my humans, I'm not big on crowds or large social events. Don't get me wrong, I love to have fun and have quite a goofy personality around my people. I tend to have a small circle of friends as I am a bit apprehensive and unsure of new people, so I do take a little time to warm up to new friends, but my peeps at MHS say I'm doing quite well, I'm quite the cuddle-bug when I am comfortable! Sadly it's difficult for me to keep up with my house-training in a shelter environment so I'll need someone who has the patience and time to help me acclimate once in my forever home. I really would prefer to be the only animal in my new home, because I prefer a quiet environment where I can enjoy my people and get all the attention. I am spayed, micro-chipped, and UTD on my vaccinations. My friends at MHS are loving on me while I hang out at the shelter, but I'm really getting bummed seeing so many of my friends going off to their forever homes, while I sit and wait patiently wondering when my turn will be. If you are interested in meeting me and think you can give me the time, unconditional love, and home I need, please fill out an application today! https://service.sheltermanager.com/asmservice?account=meridenhumanesociety&method=online_form_html&formid=27

Story
Name: LadyBreed: Hound MixAge: 3 years oldCats: NoDogs: NoKids: NoOur lovely Lady is searching for her forever home! At an estimated 3 years old, this sweet girl hasn’t had the best start in life. Lady was found roaming by a local animal control and sat waiting for her person to come for her but sadly, they never did. Lady was apprehensive to human touch at first but has made huge strides in learning to trust humans and that affection is okay. Sometimes a bit too much as she likes to be real close and in the laps of the people she loves the most! While she has come a long way in her time with us, Lady is still working on some trust issues with new humans and will require a special person who is willing to put the time and effort into coming and working build a bond with her.More about Lady, she loves her walks and quiet time in our expen away from the other pups. She’s also quite the fan of chasing down tennis balls, and loves her true chew treats! No other animals for Lady, as she has high prey drive. No kids as she prefers an adult only home. Lady is microchipped, utd on her vaccinations, and is spayed. If you think you can give Lady the forever home she longs for, please apply today!

Story
Meet our beautiful girl named Marigold! Marigold is a gentle, sweet, and smiley girl who is sure to melt your heart! She is a friendly and affectionate dog who loves spending time with people. Marigold was originally found roaming in town, and her owner never came to claim her. We believe she is about 5 years old. Marigold is a playful dog, but she also has a sweet and gentle side to her which makes her the perfect family pet. Marigold can entertain herself with a nice toy and a comfy bed. She is a people-oriented dog who loves to meet new friends and receive lots of pats and affection. Marigold can go to a home with children 10 years old and older. Marigold has shown that she is uncomfortable with other dogs being in her close personal space. She is not aggressive towards dogs while outside in a large area, but at this time, we are looking for a home where she can be the only dog. Marigold is vaccinated against rabies and has tested negative for Heartworm and tick borne diseases. If you are interested in adopting Marigold, Please Email us at Adopt@savingpawsct.org for an application! Her adoption fee is $75.00. PLEASE CHECK YOUR EMAIL SPAM FOLDER! Story
Meet our handsome and mellow guy named Rocky! Rocky is about 6 years old, and he is a loving and loyal dog! He was surrendered to our shelter after his owners realized they could no longer care for him. Unfortunately, Rocky has spent most of the last year or so living in a hotel room. For much of this time, he was put in a crate, not able to get any real exercise or stretch his legs. Rocky is a friendly guy who enjoys being pet. He is a calm dog who will just mosey around our backyard looking for a shady place to lie down. He is food motivated and knows how to sit. Rocky would love a family to adopt him who will give him some real tender love and care! Rocky is good with other dogs and he is good with cats as well. He can go to a home with children 10 years old and older. If you are interested in adopting Rocky, Please Email us at Adopt@savingpawsct.org for an application! His adoption fee is $75.00.
