Story
Meet Nyla, a loving and playful 2-year-old Pitbull Terrier mix who wears the title of "mom" with pride. Nyla's vibrant spirit shines through in her playful antics and her deep affection for belly rubs. When the excitement of playtime kicks in, she has a cute habit of gently taking your hand in her mouth, showing her eagerness for some interactive fun. Nyla has been making great progress in her leash training, proving her willingness to learn and adapt. Baths might not be her favorite activity, as she's a bit wary of water, but her courageous spirit is helping her overcome her fears one step at a time. She's also conquered her initial trepidation of wearing a collar and being on a leash, showing her determination to embrace new experiences. This sweet girl is a fan of knotted ropes and treats - two things that always bring a sparkle to her eyes. While she's currently enjoying the company of her housemates, we're still exploring her comfort level around other dogs. With time and patience, we hope to see Nyla's social circle expand. Nyla's journey is one of growth and transformation, and she's ready to continue that journey with a loving forever family. If you're looking for a loyal companion who will shower you with affection and make every moment a joyful one, Nyla might just be the perfect match for you. Open your heart to Nyla and discover the true meaning of unconditional love and companionship. Howdy, aren't you just as sweet as a peach! It's a mighty fine pleasure meeting you! My name is Abilene and I'm a down to Earth nature girl who loves affection! I am looking for a family of huggers, lovers, sweeties, cuties, to take me in as one of their own! I love car rides, people, being a lap dog, playing with dogs (even ones smaller than me!), children and expending energy all day all the time! I'll need activity and exercise to keep me healthy and happy, a walk here and there, but I know you'll be able to provide that for lil ole me! Some basic information about me; I am a cool gal, American Pitbull mix, female, and large-sized (60-99lbs) with Golden-Cream coloring. I am potty trained, crate trained, and leash trained though sometimes I get a bit excited! Meet Chance, a survivor with a heart full of love. His story is sadly familiar; he was abandoned in a field to fend for himself. Thankfully, a kind-hearted lady living nearby stepped in to help. She gave Chance the chance he needed to show just how much love and devotion he had to offer. In his foster home, Chance has proved to be quite the gentleman. He's house-trained and knows how to sit on command. But most importantly, he's a playful guy who thrives in the company of people. His foster mom does say he can be a bit pesky at times, but who can resist that playful spirit? Chance has a list of favorites that will make you smile. He adores playing tug-o-war and FETCH, and he's excellent at taking treats gently. He's an active pup, so he's looking for a family that enjoys adventures and keeping active. If you're ready to open your heart and home to a dog who's been through a lot and is ready to give his all, then Chance is the one. Don't miss the opportunity to make wonderful memories with this loving and loyal companion. Fill out your application today and give Chance the second chance he deserves! Story
Hey guys, I'm Chook, which means Chicken in Australian! Fancy, amiright? I am a Bully Breed mix with a soft, rich red coat and quirky ears. I'm not very big, maybe 42 pounds. My story is an eventful one, as I was rescued from a situation where a bystander was trying to be helpful, but unfortunately couldn't keep up with the responsibilities of being a private foster pawrent. Thankfully, I met my current foster pawrents though! I'm luckier than a lot of dogs, because they're Dog Trainers! How cool is that?! They've been teaching me all kinds of cool things, like sit, down, or my favorite Place! Oh, and how to respond to directional guidance on the leash. They even said they'd help my new pawrents by offering a few lessons to help with my transition to a new home! I am shy in the beginning, but I'm a rootin, tootin little bullet when I'm comfortable. I love to vocalize and run around like a silly goose in the backyard. I'd do okay in a house with older teens, but absolutely no young children. I have a VERY mouthy play style when I am playing with my humans. I am very very dog social, though I can be a bit pushy at times, but I am easily corrected. Which means I'd love to go to a home with other dogs! I haven't been tested around cats, though. ATTRIBUTES Good with Dogs Active or Relaxed Lifestyle (with proper Mental Enrichment) Comes with some foundation obedience skills (and send home lessons with Fosters) Crate Trained (with a good routine) Older Teen-Adult Home Only Heartworm Positive and Treated Local (Texas) adoption fee is $200 OOS (Transport) adoption fee is $400

Story
Missy is the life of the party! This 5 year old, 50lb Pitty is super smart, loves getting the zoomies, and simple loves having fun! Missy enjoys learning new things, like walking with a loose leash and greeting people politely (she gets very excited meeting new people!), and would appreciate someone who could continue her training in a home! Some of her favorite things are running in one of the play yards- she can be a bit of a bull in a china shop when she gets the zoomies and forgets just how big she is! After a good work out, she is happy to come back in, rest up in her crate, or cuddle on the couch. Like any self respecting pit, she is a hard chewer so tough toys are her fave, however she take treats very gently and loves couch snuggles with her friends! She does have some specific requests for her new home- she'd like a single family home (no apartments or condos), be the only animal, adults only, a family that is well versed in pit bull ways, and a 5ft fence with a yard to run it! She would also appreciate someone to help her slowly transition to her new home and family! If you would like to know more about this gorgeous gal, please call Our Companions Animal Rescue at 860-242-9999 or e-mail to helpline@ourcompanions.org

Story
Neo would be an award winning X-Games athlete if they let dogs compete! Like most 3-year-old pit bulls, Neo loves to stay active with exercise, enrichment, and playtimes. He loves his outdoor adventures, finding big sticks in the woods, hiking, and playing with other dogs. In fact, Neo loves dog friends that have his same energy and playfulness! Whether you have another playful dog in the home or just have playtimes with Neo and friends, we do feel a yard with frequent outside access is needed for Neo to thrive. A home environment with adults or teens would be the best fit for him too. Routine schedules help Neo navigate the world, as will continued doggy training for this young pup and his new human companions! He is insanely smart and fun to train; he’s even learned how to ride a skateboard and will happily cruise around with you on a paddleboard! The sky is the limit with Neo! Welcome Dozer to CCPAL Rescue. He is a gorgeous Pitbull/ American Bulldog. He is about 3 years old. He is decent on the leash and is kennel trained at the rescue. He would be a great companion for some lucky family. We would love him to go to a family that is familiar with the Pittie and or has had one before. He has energy but he is a great lounger as well. If you had a fenced yard, he could do a few laps and be ready to sit at your feet while you read. He would love to join you on jogs, walks or hikes. He also would like to it by you while you read. He is healthy, neutered and vaccinated. He is currently in Texas and can be adopted locally or we can work with one of the wonderful transporters to get Dozer to Washington, Portland, Minnesota, Vermont or all along the East Coast. Story
Welcome Tucker to CCPAL Rescue Foster Program. Tucker is a 1-year-old Pitbull dog. He was found as a stray on the construction site and a wonderful good Samaritan found him and is fostering him until he finds his forever home. His hair is super soft and his is gushy sweet. He warms up slow to new people and is very bonded and loyal to his human. He has an adorable underbite. He would be willing to wear outfits and hats if it is what his human wanted. He is great on leash and doesn’t pull and he is good in a car. He doesn’t shed and is a very very clean boy. He likes to keep his feet clean and really manages to stay out of any messes other dogs would normally get into. He is good in his crate and he is potty trained. He currently lives with other dogs but he is jealous of attention. His best home would really be where he can be the only dog and get all the snuggles from his family. I think a quieter home over the family that has a loud bustling group of people in it. He would be perfect for the single woman or man who would like a companion animal to walk, jog hike or cuddle with. He doesn’t need lots of exercise for happiness. He is an inside dog and loves to be in the house next to his person. He can stay in his crate while you work. He can also be trusted outside his crate. He is healthy, vaccinated, neutered and ready for his forever home. He is currently in Texas and can be adopted locally. We can work with one of the wonderful transporters to get him to Washington, Portland, Minnesota, Vermont or all along the East Coast. His adoption fee is 300 and transport is 200. If you are interested in meeting Sherman, the first step is to go to our website www.adoggie4you.org and complete an application for him.  This dog is currently in Texas; however, it can be transported to Washington, Portland (Oregon), Minneapolis, Milwaukee, Chicago, Des Moines, Omaha, Cin c innati, Lexington KY,     or all along the East Coast. When you eat your Thanksgiving turkey- will you think of me?? I will be right next to you trying to get it... NOW will you think of me?? LOL, ok, I kid.... I do love turkey though :) I am Wishbone, and I am a bull terrier/beagle mixed boy with a story to tell! I am so smart like a bull terrier- somewhat stubborn, like a bull terrier, but I follow my NOSE like a beagle! I am super cute, only about 40# and I am pretty active. I love to have a hard playing buddy, no small animals (like kitties) as I have a prey drive- like a bull terrier.. you see where I am going with this, right?? I would love have an active family, kids older than grade school as I love a moving target and smaller ones don't quite understand that. I am a love bug, and once tired out I am the bestest cuddler! So, what are you waiting for? Look me up, take me on adventures when you apply to adopt me! ADOPT, DON'T SHOP!!!! MY LIFE DEPENDS ON IT!!
