Story
Lou is an adorable 11-month-old Pit Bull Terrier mix with an endless supply of energy! This affectionate boy is happiest when he's around people, is really snuggly and loving but is still learning how to be appropriate with his affection. Lou has a playful spirit and will need plenty of enrichment to keep his clever mind engaged. He will be a great match for someone who can provide him with activities like Kongs/puzzle toys in between long-leash walks to help him burn off energy while exploring his surroundings.Training is a positive experience for Lou thanks to his food motivation and he's doing really well learning various cues like "sit" and showing great potential, though he'll need a bit more guidance in managing his excitement-especially when it comes to jumping up to say hello. Lou also needs some training with leash walking, as he sometimes pulls and jumps up when something catches his eye, however with consistent training his enthusiastic personality can be channeled into being the best buddy on walks and adventures. He does have a mischievous side and loves to play with and even chew any soft toys, blankets and beds. He loves them so much they may even end up becoming his next snack! He will need durable chew toys and a watchful eye to keep him safe. While Lou would like to be the only animal in the home, he would love to have doggy friends that he can meet up with to zoom around and get his beans out! If you're ready for a loyal, lively companion who will keep you laughing, brighten your days, and keep you busy, Lou could be the perfect addition to your family!Put in an application in today to see if you could be a match! Story
Meet Snowflake, a dog whose energy is more like a blizzard than a soft, gentle snowflake! Snowflake is a high-energy pup with a heart full of potential, and he's ready to put his energy to good use. He's currently on a training routine to become the best boy he can be, and with positive reinforcement, he's learning to keep his paws on the ground and improve his basic manners. He's still got some work to do, but he's eager to learn and is making great progress!Snowflake thrives on a consistent routine and needs his brain kept busy to prevent him from acting out like a playful toddler. Mental stimulation and structure are key to helping him stay happy and well-behaved. He'll do best in an adult-only home with no other pets, where he can receive the focused attention and consistency he needs to thrive. Snowflake's playful spirit and eagerness to please will melt your heart, and with the right guidance, he's sure to be the loyal, loving companion you've been looking for! Story
Chase is a sweet boy, he loves people and seems to like other dogs, however, we always recommend slow introductions. He came from a free-roaming lifestyle and is ready to settle down with his family at home! This goofy boy is not suited to live with children, as he gets a little bit too excited sometimes. He is a good listener, and will do great with some basic obedience and training with his manners.Chase loves to play, he is having fun playing fetch and is more than willing to bring you the ball back for another toss. He loves squeaky toys, but having fun is general is all he's after! If you are interested in adopting, please fill out the application below,https://spca.bc.ca/adoption/dog-pre-adoption-questionnaire/ Primary Color: White Secondary Color: Brindle Weight: 24 Age: 1yrs 0mths 4wks

Story
Sweet Ben is ready to find his family!Ben arrived to us as a stray that went unclaimed, so no background history is known. He is very energetic and loves to play tug of war. Although sometimes he gets carried away and will start tugging on your sleeve instead of the toy. He also gets a little too excited and will jump up and get mouthy, so we are recommending no young children.Ben will need an active home that is willing to work on some basics, as he is still learning to walk on leash and be inside buildings. Ben loves his people time, and looks forward to cozying up on the couch with his people. He isn't too bothered being alone during the day, he loves a stuffed kong to keep him busy while his people are away. He enjoys a game of chase/catch me if you can in a fenced yard and is an overall happy guy!If you are interested in adopting Ben, please will out the application below.https://spca.bc.ca/adoption/dog-pre-adoption-questionnaire/ Primary Color: Red Gold Weight: 28.5 Age: 0yrs 7mths 4wks

Story
Peach, and her sister Rosie, are looking for a home together! These lovely ladies spend their time snuggled up together and often give each other kisses. The two of them are quite ridiculous when vying for attention; crawling over and stepping on each other, rolling over to show their bellies. We are still getting to know these house hippos! They had lived on the same property their whole lives, so much of what they are experiencing is new and can be scary. Rosie seems to be the leader, she is a little more outgoing than Peach and will put herself between Peach and scary things. These two are doing great meeting new people, they can easily be won over with some tasty treats and belly rubs! They are getting regular baths and don't mind being lifted in and out of the tub. The girls visted the vet and made sure everyone knew how goofy their personalities are! They require weekly baths while their dry skin improves and both are reccommended to lose 5-10kg but are otherwise healthy. If you require minimal personal space, please follow the steps below to apply for Peach and Rosie! Primary Color: Black Weight: 21.2 Age: 5yrs 0mths 2wks
