Story
Meet Brewster!Brewster is a sweet, outdoorsy boy looking for his adventure buddy! Brewster would thrive in a home that can take him along for hikes, walks, and other outdoor activities. He can pull while walking on leash, but is very food motivated so training will be a fun bonding experience for him and his adopters. While he can be a bit shy with hands, Brewster is learning that they're for gentle pets and scratches-so his ideal family will be patient and gentle as he builds trust. Once he has gotten to know you he enjoys getting pets. He may enjoy the company of other dogs with proper introductions. If you're ready to explore the world with a loyal friend by your side, Brewster could be the perfect match! 🍹Do you think you could be Brewster's person? Here are some ways to find out:1.) Visit our centre to meet this pet during adoption viewings Friday to Wednesday noon to 3pm, learn more about their ideal match, and apply to adopt in person; or2.) Submit an online application adopt.spca.bc.ca and staff will contact the first suitable adopter to set-up a visit! Kindly note that due to the high number of applications and the availability of walk-in adoptions an online applicant would have to be available to come in for a meet within 24 hrs. 🐾 Primary Color: Red Secondary Color: White Weight: 33.9 Age: 1yrs 5mths 3wks

Story
🎀 Meet Clory! 🎀 Hello there, future family! I’m Clory, a 3-year-old Pitbull/Jindo mix with a soft white coat and a heart full of love. I was rescued from a kill shelter, and after receiving treatment for heartworm, I’m ready to find my forever home where I can relax, play, and be the best companion ever. 🏡💕 Why I’m Special: • 🍪 Snack Enthusiast: I’m a little shy at first, but offer me a treat, and I’ll warm up to you in no time! Snacks are the way to my heart, and before you know it, I’ll be showing you my belly for some rubs. • 🐕 Social Butterfly (With Limits): I enjoy meeting new dogs, especially those my size, but I’m not much for roughhousing. I prefer peaceful encounters and tend to avoid confrontation if another dog gets a little too feisty. • 🚶‍♀️ Walks & Quiet Time: I love being outdoors and going for walks, though I can get a bit excited and pull on the leash. Don’t worry—I’m working on it! After a good walk, I’m all about resting quietly by your side. • 🛏️ Calm & Composed: I’m a good girl when it comes to quiet time. I’m calm in a kennel and well-behaved at home, making me an easy companion to live with. • 🍽️ Foodie with a Side of Sass: While I don’t guard my food from people, I can get a little growly if another dog tries to take my meal. With some training and understanding, I’m sure we can work through it together! A Few Things to Know: • Quick to Bond: It only takes me a few minutes to get comfortable with new people, especially if snacks are involved. I’m food-motivated, so training me is a breeze—I already know how to “sit” like a champ! 🐾 • Needs a Little Guidance: I’m a strong-willed girl and need an owner who can provide consistent training. If I feel too pampered, I might get a little too confident and try to boss other dogs around. But with the right balance of love and boundaries, I’ll be the perfect companion. Could Clory Be Your New Best Friend? I’m ready to find a home where I can be loved, trained, and cherished. If you’re looking for a loyal, sweet, and slightly sassy dog who will keep you on your toes, I’m your girl! Let’s meet and start our journey together—I can’t wait to show you how amazing I am. 🐾💖 Love, Clory 🎀 For more videos: https://www.youtube.com/playlist?list=PLIsLTtIpe3JxTjkNfb9rScGAtdz41oEda

Story
**Currently fostered in Houston Texas but is available for out of state adoption via rescue transportation. Virtual meet and greet offered prior to adoption commitment** Kyra is a happy go lucky pup who found herself abandoned on the streets. She was emaciated, had poor skin and just full of worms. Thankfully an amazing woman found her and took her in. She got her clean, well fed, and fully vetted. Now, Kyra is ready to start the next chapter in her adventure! Kyra is just over 2 years old, and is a total hambone of a dog. We believe she is some kind of pitbull, retriever, hound mix. Basically what we call, a Texas Street Special! Whatever her breed, she is all adventure pup and very eager for life. Kyra loves people, I don't think she could ever meet a stranger. She's extremely loving, and enjoys cuddles on the couch, giving kisses, and looking cute for treats! We think she would even do wonderfully with children. Kyra has done wonderful with other dogs as well. She is fantastic at her doggie daycare, does well at dog parks, and loves to play. She doesn't mind the cats, She does chase them at times when she just wants to play. Kyra is not an aggressive dog, but she can lack the meaning of personal space and some of the cats we've introduced her to have not taken kindly to that. We think she could do well in just about any home, however, she would prefer to have regular play mates that can keep up with her be it siblings or play mates from friends, neighbors or daycare environment. She just wants to enjoy life with someone! Kyra does very well with training, mostly due to the fact that she's so smart. She learns quickly, and at times, can be TOO smart. Like how she knows how to push the door open if it's not latched properly. She knows her basics such as sit, kennel, stay. Her only need for training is working on her impulse control. She is fully crate trained, and is doing fantastic with her leash training. She is housebroken, but being such a big pup still, we suggest using a kennel until fully acclimated. Though she quite enjoys cuddling in the bed or couch. Kyra is fully vetted, meaning she is current on all vaccinations and preventions. She is spayed as well as microchipped too. Story
Brisket would make a wonderful companion for someone with an active lifestyle. He is friendly, fun and full of energy. Brisket is also eager to learn, and with very dedicated professional training will become a good canine citizen. We would love to set Brisket up with someone who is willing to dedicate sufficient time to training and exercise. Given the right opportunity, we're certain that Brisket will flourish in his new home. Brisket would be an amazing candidate for dog sports, he has a lot of energy to burn! Our preference for this dog would be someone who has experience with working bred bully breeds. Due to his previous situation, we would prefer Brisket to be in a detached home with a yard. (may have previous trauma with small spaces. ie, apartments.) Other Dogs: Yes, his size and well matched only Cats: We are unable to test for cats Kids: 16 + adult sized teenagers would be ok Apartments: No Walks: Needs a lot of work on leash manners, pulls hard. New People: Yes, loves them.... a LOT Other notes: Brisket needs a dog experienced adopter, not fit for first time dog owners. -------------------------------------------------------------------- At City of Vancouver Animal Services, we have a foster-to-adopt program whereby prospective new owners foster the adoptable animal for 30 days before committing to adoption. This ensures that both the new owner and the adoptable animal are well suited to each other. Adoption Fee $353 Includes: -spay/neuter -first set of shots -one vet visit -microchip -bag of food If you live in Vancouver, you will also need to buy a dog license.
