Story
Lou is an adorable 8-month-old Pit Bull Terrier mix puppy with a heart full of love and an endless supply of energy! This affectionate boy is happiest when he's around people, showering them with puppy love and big smiles. Lou has a playful spirit and will need plenty of enrichment to keep his clever mind engaged. He's a perfect match for someone who can provide him with toys like Kongs and puzzle games, as well as long-leash walks to help him burn off energy while exploring his surroundings.Training is a positive experience for Lou, thanks to his food motivation! He's picking up cues like "sit" and showing great potential, though he'll need a bit more guidance in managing his excitement-especially when it comes to jumping up to say hello. Lou also needs some training with leash walking, as he sometimes pulls and jumps up when something catches his eye. With consistent training, his enthusiastic personality can be channeled into being the best buddy on walks and adventures.Lou has shown potential for getting along with other dogs and would likely enjoy having a canine companion. A meet-and-greet with any potential dog siblings would be a great way to ensure a happy match! Lou is still awaiting his neuter surgery, so for now, we're accepting only local applications. If you're ready for a loyal, lively companion who will keep you laughing and brighten your days, Lou could be the perfect addition to your family! Story
**Currently fostered in Houston Texas but is available for out of state adoption via rescue transportation. Virtual meet and greet offered prior to adoption commitment** Kyra is a happy go lucky pup who found herself abandoned on the streets. She was emaciated, had poor skin and just full of worms. Thankfully an amazing woman found her and took her in. She got her clean, well fed, and fully vetted. Now, Kyra is ready to start the next chapter in her adventure! Kyra is just over 2 years old, and is a total hambone of a dog. We believe she is some kind of pitbull, retriever, hound mix. Basically what we call, a Texas Street Special! Whatever her breed, she is all adventure pup and very eager for life. Kyra loves people, I don't think she could ever meet a stranger. She's extremely loving, and enjoys cuddles on the couch, giving kisses, and looking cute for treats! We think she would even do wonderfully with children. Kyra has done wonderful with other dogs as well. She is fantastic at her doggie daycare, does well at dog parks, and loves to play. She doesn't mind the cats, She does chase them at times when she just wants to play. Kyra is not an aggressive dog, but she can lack the meaning of personal space and some of the cats we've introduced her to have not taken kindly to that. We think she could do well in just about any home, however, she would prefer to have regular play mates that can keep up with her be it siblings or play mates from friends, neighbors or daycare environment. She just wants to enjoy life with someone! Kyra does very well with training, mostly due to the fact that she's so smart. She learns quickly, and at times, can be TOO smart. Like how she knows how to push the door open if it's not latched properly. She knows her basics such as sit, kennel, stay. Her only need for training is working on her impulse control. She is fully crate trained, and is doing fantastic with her leash training. She is housebroken, but being such a big pup still, we suggest using a kennel until fully acclimated. Though she quite enjoys cuddling in the bed or couch. Kyra is fully vetted, meaning she is current on all vaccinations and preventions. She is spayed as well as microchipped too. Story
Introducing Bobo!Bobo is a lovable, one-year-old pit bull mix who hails from the Prince George area. Since he was found as a rural stray, lots of city situations are still new for him. He is working on his leash manners and has a strong prey drive for wildlife. His ideal home would be with someone who has time and patience to work with him on his training, recall and loose leash walking.Bobo gets along well with other dogs who match is high energy and curiousity. He is very playful with toys and would do absolutely anything for a treat. He is working on his sit, stay and being calm in public spaces. He can be very jumpy on leash, so bringing a special toy or treat as a distraction is key for success.Bobo is very friendly and loves to be the center of attention. He would do best in an adult only home with yard access to help him burn off his energy. Scent work, snuffle mats and various DIY enrichment tools are a must for his continued training. If you're looking for a goofy meatball to be your lifelong companion, look no further.
