This doe eyed sweetheart is named Chino and he is looking for his new family. Chino is a BIG fan of toys but he will request quite a few as the other ones always end up ripped or broken. He's not sure how that happens, though. He is fully potty trained and has done well on walks, even preferring to carry his toys for the entire duration. Chinos big head and loving personality has made him a staff favorite at the shelter so you won't want to miss out on this goof!

Ruby is a good girl, almost 9 years old. She ignors the cat in the house after getting used to it and the other dog in the house was here first. She is protective of her yard and has gone after another dog that got in our fenced in back yard. She is used to being kenneled but will also sleep in your bed given half a chance and often crawls under the covers as well.. Does well well with teenagers. My wife has our younger children scared of her so she senses that fear. Offering for adoption due to unknown status when divorce is final and my recent medical issues that I can not care for her as she deserves. She was a gift as a puppy from a friend.

It's a pleasure to meet you, my name is Walter! I like to greet people the old fashioned way, a tip of the nose, a meeting of the eyes, and a formal introduction of who I am. I've always kind of been an old-soul, at least that's what people tell me, with my wrinkled fur and gentle eyes. As an older gentleman I tend to have a bit more patience than these young whippersnapper pups. You'll find me waddling around quite slowly but my tail still wagging none the less! I have been known to snap when nervous, but I have come so far and I just need a little time and patience. Cause I just so want to be your big goofy friend! I have a soft and squishy face to go along with my squishy personality! I am great with my people and great with other dogs too. I am shy at the very first but am on the fast track to love! As a senior dog there's really only one thing I care about ... TREATS ... just kidding, it's being close to others. I hail from the great city of Laredo, via the high kill pound they have. I did arrive at the rescue with my buddies Alpha and Charlie. Those two are LONG ago adopted, and I am STILL waiting! Meet Cooper aka Toot Toot aka Toot Bagoot aka Tooter Cooper was basically born and raised in the shelter system so everything is new to him, he's still learning what stairs are and what the big moving screen that talks to him is. He also loves to look at the handsome dog in the mirror. Tooter has nothing but love to give. The best way to describe Toot toot is a bull in a China shop. Your personal space is his personal space. Your spot on the couch is his spot on the couch. Fancy decorations? Oh you mean those things in his way! Toot is completely potty trained and listens very well! He knows sit, and down and is good in a kennel. Cooper's FAVORITE thing is soft stuffed toys and will definitely make your home look like a winter wonderland with stuffing. He is still learning about those small stick things attached to human arms and that those are in fact part of the human and not part of the treat or toy, but Cooper is a smart boy! Toot has never met a stranger with 2 legs or 4 legs, but since Cooper is a puppy in an adult dogs body, people his size may not be the best choice for him. Cooper has a heart of gold and just wants to please people and give you all the kisses (and maybe nibble on your toes a little). Theodore is super sweet but a bit scared. He has done great on walks and hardly pulls at all. He gets excited about other dogs and although it can take a bit for him to warm up at first, Theodore loves to run with his four legged friends. Theodore would be happy in a home with another dog, large or small, or by himself where he can get all of the attention. He seems to do fine with cats and previously lived with a small dog. When this sweetheart gets happy, he will show his excitement with his whole body, and has mastered the art of wagging his tail without actually having a tail.
