Story
Name: TysonBreed: American Bulldog MixSex/Age/Weight: Male/4yrs old/70 poundsVetting: Up to date on vaccines, neutered, microchipped, and heartworm positive (on slow kill treatment and rescue pays for treatment until negative)House trained/Crate Trained: Yes to both. Dogs/Cats/Children: Possibly dog selective, but can be tested upon request. He gets along well with his submissive foster canine. He would do better in a home without small dogs or cats. Tyson is very strong and can knock small children down, so he may do better in a home with older children. Energy Level: Medium. He gets spurts of energy, but then calms back down. He loves to run and play fetch! Before FAR: Tyson came in as a stray. He was skinny and in poor condition with skin issues. Now he is healthy, and looking and feeling great!Training Status/Commands I know: Sit, down, place, and load up. Tyson walks well on a leash with a prong collar. Things I like: Tyson loves to play ball!Things I don’t like: Tyson is a little hesitant of men he doesn't know and takes a little time to warm up. Things that make my humans happy: That I am very sweet and loving! He is a smart boy and very eager to please!Ideal Family/Home: Tyson would do best with a family who can continue his training and give him plenty of play and exercise time. A family with older children and no other small pets would be best. If you are interested in giving Tyson a forever home, please visit the link below to fill out an application! http://fureverafterrescue.org/adoption-application.html It is best to submit an application through a computer. Story
*pocket bully* Joli has been through more in her three short years than most dogs ever should. Rescued from an animal cruelty case, Joli spent her life outdoors in separate kennels with other dogs. When her owner went to prison, her care fell into the wrong hands, and the conditions quickly became unbearable. Thankfully, Joli and her companions were confiscated by authorities, and now she has a chance to find the life she deserves. Despite her past, Joli has embraced the comforts of indoor life and still enjoys a fenced in area-- and is shy, but enjoys attention. She is approximately three years old, spayed, and fully up-to-date on vaccines and flea prevention. Sadly, due to her previous neglect, she has heartworms. Heartworms is an easily treatable condition with a couple of rounds of injections and would be her only remaining vet care for now aside from future annual visits.

Story
Maya was a stray until recently. She found us and we had her scanned for a chip. She comes from the Macon, Ga area was re-homed at some point but the new owner cannot be contacted (phone and e-mail no longer work). Maya is a SWEET dog. She’s over 2 years old, house broken, and very affectionate. She is good with adults and kids. Maya has a lot of energy so she needs a yard for exercise. We need to find her a permanent loving home because we have 4 adopted dogs and 4 adopted cats. Maya gets along great with the other dogs. She plays with them and is really good with male and female pets. She does not like cats though. She chases our cats, but never cornered one. We are not sure what she would do if she caught one. Maya would do well as a single dog or other dogs. She likes to play so a yard or close by park would be ideal. she is as sweet of a dog as i’ve ever been around. The only reason we need to rehome her is we already have so many pets we are taking care of.

Bear is about 3 years old. He was adopted as a puppy at 12 weeks old from another rescue. He grew up in same home as an inside dog. Then a family member moved in with the family who was afraid of dogs. So bear was owner Surrendered to a kill shelter . Days away from euthanasia we took him in and he was safe. As we always do scared him for a chip and found he had one😔 I contacted the previous owner and wanted to know if he knew Bear was in the shelter. Sad part was he put him there 😩. This boy is the sweetest precious baby ever. He is house trained doggie door trained and even recliner trained. Bear deserves a human and home that won’t fail him again. Story
Helga is a 4 year old English Bulldog and weighs 38 pounds. This girl LOVES her toys, especially her tennis balls! Her favorite thing in the world is playing with her foster dad, especially playing tug or stalking her tennis balls. Helga also loves to cuddle and get scratches, and she can be the sweetest, funniest girl! Helga really doesn't like being in a crate, but she is completely housetrained and has never torn anything up. She does not get crated in her foster home, and she does very well. Helga has some behavioral issues that are being worked on with her veterinarian, her trainer, and her foster family and will need a home that does not have children and has experience with the English Bulldog breed. She has had surgery to correct her Brachycephalic Airway Syndrome and is in excellent health.
