Story
***Solomon is currently with a loving foster in Pennington, NJ.  He is with 4 other dogs & is doing great!!!  Applications for Solomon's adoption can be submitted at socorescue.com (no need to "Register" or "Login"). Questions about Solomon and/or our adoption policy should be sent to socorescue8@gmail.com; please no phone calls.*** Solomon and his siblings came into our rescue after being found as a discarded litter along a rarely traveled dirt road. Due to the overwhelming number of stray, abandoned and unwanted dogs that have come into our rescue, Solomon and his littermates had to spend time at a foster home prior to coming into our rescue, thus causing a delay in getting the opportunity at finding their home. But during that time, we've gotten to know Solomon pretty good and think he is simply a great dog! Solomon is a pretty hefty fellow, which may scare some people. Truth is, this fellow is a big ole mush! Solomon is very people friendly, has shown no aggression towards other dogs and learns new routines rather fast. He is a bit on the shy side at first, but this food motivated (not aggressive, though) boy will make friends pretty quick once he realizes you have those good treats to give to him. Solomon has a lot of energy to burn so a home that allows him ample space to run and play is best. He also LOVES just chilling out while getting belly rubs. Because of his size, we'd not recommend homes without very small children. He is accustomed to sleeping in a crate and while he will let you know when he wants to go outside, he will need additional house training. He's very strong and also needs additional leash and basic training to teach him not to jump up. Solomon has been kept up to date on his annual vaccinations, de-worming and monthly preventatives as well as being neutered. He did test negative for heartworms in Dec, 2024. Visit this organization's web site to see any additional information available about this pet.December 18, 2024, 9:44 am

But during that time, we've gotten to know Simon pretty good and think he is simply a great dog! Anyone who judges Simon simply because of his breed would be missing out on adopting one very incredible dog. Simon is nothing but a bundle of love who is very affectionate towards everyone he meets. Being very energetic, Simon also loves curling up next to his people and getting belly rubs, but his ideal home would allow him lots of room to run and play. He's not shown any aggression towards other dogs but we'd still encourage a "meet-and-greet" with any other dogs that he'd share a home with. He's also very smart, learning new routines rather quickly. Now that you know Simon shouldn't be given the stigma of being a bulldog, why not let him fill your home with love and devotion?
