Story
You can fill out an adoption application online on our official website. Meet Ginger, this girl is stunning! She was born into our rescue and adopted as a puppy; unfortunately, her mom passed away, and family members tried to keep G inger, but there were issues with another dog in the home and G inger, and it felt other arrangements needed to be made. While with us, Ginger has been non-reactive to any of the dogs around her; she has not currently been cat tested but did well in her previous home with several other dogs. We feel the best situation for her is a calm male and a proper slow introduction. She is truly a doll with all humans. She has done very well with children. Ginger is currently in boarding, so we are seeking a foster or forever home Visit this organization's web site to see any additional information available about this pet.December 7, 2024, 9:02 am

Story
You can fill out an adoption application online on our official website. This jungle boy has all the bear-necessities to fit perfectly into any home! He loves to play, enjoy long walks, and, of course, bask in all the love he can get. Mowgli is friendly with dogs when introduced properly, and he also does well with children and cats. This delightful pup was once part of a caring household but was returned when his owner became ill and could no longer care for him. Mowgli knows the comfort of a nurturing environment. He excels at public events, showcasing his calm demeanor, yet he also has a fun-loving side. With his striking eyes and charming little brown spots on his coat, he is truly a handsome boy! Story
You can fill out an adoption application online on our official website. DeeDee’s previous owner sadly passed away, and she has now found her way to us. She is incredibly sweet, attentive, and calm, yet she loves to play. DeeDee prefers to go outside to potty and then come back inside. She enjoys walks and loves to explore with her nose, but she treasures her indoor time even more. She is small in size and low maintenance. Her weekend foster family adores her, and we are hopeful to find her a forever home. Story
Lilo is the best cuddle bug in need of a good home. She can be very hyper and needs someone who is playful and energetic. She is super smart and catches on to rules very fast! She does get anxious and doesn't do well with change initially, but once she loves you, she settles in perfectly! She has only been around 1 baby and has learned to be very gentle with/around him; however, she does not always do well with other animals.

Story
Friends to the Forlorn Adopt-a-BullBreed: Great Dane/American Bulldog Gender: Male Estimated Date of Birth: April 15, 2012 Size:  85lbs Location:  Dallas, GA RESCUING STONE Stone was originally adopted from Douglas County Animal Control when he was a small pup. That family gave him to another family, who then gave him to a third family, and he ended up a Fulton County Animal Control. He was next in line to get put to sleep at the shelter and we were able to pull him on the day he was scheduled to be euthanized. ABOUT STONE Stone is a giant. Our best guess is that he’s a Great Dane/American Bulldog mix. He is a big, playful goof and he loves toys … although he has not quite learned to bring them back to you. Stone does not understand his size or strength. It is very clear that a lack of basic obedience and being dumped several times in his formative years has affected him immensely. Stone is not very trusting of new people. He takes time to warm up and can be rather intimidating due to his size and behavior. He is reactive when in public to people and other dogs. Once he trusts you, you are part of his inner circle and he will show you his true personality. His true personality shines … he is fun loving, sweet, and silly. Because his previous owners simply dumped him off onto the next family, he lacked all leadership and guidance in his formative years so he does not know what behavior is acceptable and what is not. Stone does jump up on people and could benefit from some serious obedience training. He is reactive on leash in public and will require a strong owner. Stone also has trust issues and insecurities with strangers due to his previous life experiences. He will require a 6 foot privacy fence and a strong, experienced owner that is willing to take the time to get to know him and work with him on obedience. Due to his size and behavioral concerns, we do not recommend Stone for a home with children. Story
A WONDERFUL YOUNG PUP:  Approx. 9 – 10 months old / Approx. 46 lbs. & growing  Hi, my name is Taffy!  I had a home, but my owner simply did not have the time to devote to me that I deserved, so I made my way to Mostly Mutts to find a new family to love and be loved by. I’m soaking up all the attention from the volunteers at the shelter and can’t wait to do the same with my new family!  I got to spend some time in the prison/foster training program and had fun as well as learned a lot!    • OTHER DOGS/CATS/KIDS:  I met dogs at Mostly Mutts and in the prison/foster training program and I liked them, so if you have a nice doggy at home who would enjoy a friend, let’s meet! My trainer reports that when I’m finished playing, I’ll just flop over while the other dog continues to try and play – so funny! / Cats unknown. / I met kids at Mostly Mutts that were around 10 years old, and I liked them!  I was interested in grabbing their feet when they ran though, so I’m working on that.  If you have kids around 10 and up, let’s meet and best no toddlers or very young kids. • PERSONALITY/ENERGY LEVEL:  I’m a super friendly and fun pup with a sweet personality.  A typical pup, I am playful and fun.  The volunteers who care for me describe me as ‘the most delightful, sweet girl with a happy energy’.  A true lap dog, my affectionate nature, will surely bring lots of joy to a lucky family! / My energy level is 4-6.  • SKILLS/CRATE/POTTY: I’m in the Mostly Mutts University training program now and have mastered the ‘sit’, ‘down’, ‘come’, ‘leave it’, ‘drop it’ and ‘place’ commands.  I also use proper door etiquette and accept friendly strangers without jumping on them, though I occasionally get puppy mouthy when I’m meeting new people, but not at all in a mean way – my trainer says it’s all puppy!  I did get a volunteer’s hand in my mouth, but again it was all in play. I’m working on my leash manners as my trainer reports that I’m a lazy walker and when I’m done, I’m done, though I do still pull at times.  We are trying the ‘WE’ leash to help me with that, for now, kids should not walk me though. / My potty manners have improved, and I think keeping me on a good schedule is key!  I did have occasional overnight accidents in the prison/foster training program. Please continue to be consistent with me on a good schedule, so I can master my potty skills. • LIKES/DISLIKES:  I love to spend time playing with the volunteers and trainers – readily giving and receiving affection and kisses. I like toys too, but I haven’t tugged on them – I tend to just drop them if you want them. / I can’t think of any dislikes, though I’m sure I wouldn’t like it if I didn’t get enough love, attention, exercise, and training. • MEDICAL:  I'm current on vaccinations, micro-chipped and spayed. I am looking for a great home with a loving family for life!  My adoption fee is $299.00, and I’m located in Kennesaw, Ga.  December 12, 2024, 7:19 am
