Story
Buddy was found on the streets in Peachtree City. After a few months of safety with us, he's ready to go to his forever home. Buddy is a couch potato, a cuddle bug, and a very silly boy. When I get out my lap blanket and sit on the couch, he frisks for joy and stretches out on my lap as soon as I'm settled. When it's time to take my husband to work, he stands by the kitchen door and dances his front paws and wiggles into his leash. After a particularly good potty break, he'll sprint at full speed around the yard in random directions. He doesn't seem to like other dogs, but he's fairly well-behaved with the cats. He gets along all right with children, but might not be best suited to living with one. Buddy's favorite thing is a quiet cuddle with his humans. I'm going back to the office soon and would rather not leave him alone all day. If you would like to meet him, I can bring him to visit you or you can come hang out with him in our fenced-in back yard.

Story
Meet Coco Almost 2 years old | 66 lbs | Spayed & Fully Vetted   Coco’s life didn’t start easy. She and her siblings were taken in as very young puppies as part of a severe animal cruelty case. What should have been a carefree beginning turned into a long legal hold, and Coco spent nearly her entire early life in foster care—about 22 months—waiting for the chance to finally be adoptable.    Now she’s ready for the only chapter that matters: a real home of her own.   Why Coco shines: • Crate-trained & housebroken (no accidents!) • Knows basic commands and loves to learn • Friendly with dogs; warms up to new people with a little time • Medium-high energy — loves walks and playtime • Total cuddle bug — your Velcro companion    Coco is food-motivated, affectionate, and would thrive with a fenced yard and an active home. She may do well as a solo pup or with the right dog friend. (Not cat-tested; may chase squirrels!)   Questions: amy@doggieharmony.org Apply: www.bit.ly/DHAdoption   After everything she’s been through, Coco is more than ready to be someone’s beloved best friend. May 18, 2026, 1:40 pm

Story
Please contact ADOPTION (adopt@doggieharmony.org) for more information about this pet.Adoptions within 2 hours of Atlanta Yuki was assessed by a certified dog trainer on 10/31/2025.  Yuki is so sweet and cuddly. She is very smart and watches for hand cues and uses sign language Because she is deaf, she is talkative and uses her words to communicate. She is bossy but a fun, quirky, sweet girl who would thrive in a home with love and patience. She loves LOVES play time with another dog but it must be short and monitored, as she gets overstimulated after a while (not a dog park dog). She is very easy to walk on the leash, and checks back with her handler regularly. Potty trained.  She  exhibits no fear of humans; she loves people. She walks up to strangers seeking a pet or treats.  But, she can get spooked if someone comes up behinds her and touches her without making their presence known to her prior. Because of this, she needs a home with only older children (12+) who understand doggy manners and can be taught to respect to allow Yuki to come to them first and not spook her. She needs a home that understands boundaries and respect as well as to gracefully announce your presence to her instead of sneaking up on her which can be stressful for her. She would do best having a yard to get her zoomies and plays out. Probably no apartment or with immediate neighbors as Yuki can be very vocal, which she seems to have learned through experience that barking is the way to get attention but this is a behavior common to any dog that has been encouraged to use their bark to get attention, it is not specific to Yuki’s breed or deafness. A far as dogs, when Yuki was in the shelter she was assessed as dog friendly. She has been assessed walking through Petsmart with a trainer and she came very close to other dogs, every time she got super excited and although she barked, she had a waggy tail and body posture suggesting she was desperate to get their attention and play. However, she is probably best as only pet or only with a calm dog that won’t come up behind and spook her. If she has slow introductions she may do ok with another calm, gentle dog, and if with another dog, then a structured home. She would need to take time in the home to decompress and slowly introduced to them over a few weeks. Even behind baby gates at first and first getting used to scents of the other dog.  But this is highly recommended for introducing any new dog into a home. Yuki is very trainable and very smart. She does use hand signals. Some hand signals she knows are “come”, “sit”, and “thumbs up” for good job. Too vocal for apartment living.  Prefer a home.   Video playing in the river:   https://youtube.com/shorts/I1ee8F2qiDg&#226&#128&#139 Video playing with other dogs.   https://youtube.com/shorts/ZSENZnir2T4 Age: 2.5 years  Weight:  34 lbs Temperament: Gets along with older respectful kids Training: Housetrained,  knows several hand signs Vetting: Spayed, up-to-date on vaccines, heartworm negative Email for questions:    http://kcchall238@gmail.com To ensure we're meeting both pet and adopters' needs, we ask potential adopters to complete an Adoption Application (www.bit.ly/DH-Adoption) for caretakers to review. Once your application is approved, we will bring the adoptable pet to your home for a preliminary visit. Logan is a special kind of pup. He is happy-go-lucky and enjoys playing with his brother, Rocket. The two have been inseparable since birth and really love each other. He doesn't like baths too much but if you have a dog scrubber, he appreciates the feeling of soap running through his fur. Logan loves being petted and needs attention.
