Astro is a 2yr old 100lb purebred American Bulldog and is special as they come. He’s NKC registered, current on all vaccinations, and in excellent health with no known behavioral issues. Due to urgent family health issues, we are heartbroken to make the incredibly difficult decision to find him a new home, but our priority is ensuring he goes to a safe, loving environment. Astro is incredibly affectionate, loves scratches and being close to his people. He’s friendly and playful with other dogs and enjoys yard play. He is house-trained, crate-trained and does great in his crate. Astro knows basic commands and is eager to please. He thrives with structure and would do best in a home that can provide consistency, space, and continued guidance. Added support from The Ozzie Albies Foundation: To help set Astro and his future family up for success, the Ozzie Albies Foundation will cover the cost of his neuter after adoption and will also provide two complimentary training sessions if needed.

We got him when he was 7mos old after he was severely abused by his first owner, hence the scar down his back. Despite what he went through, he is the sweetest boy in the world. Loves our girls who are 2 and 4. He’s got lots of energy but when played with and around others, is very calm and lazy. Unfortunately, our German Shepard attacks him constantly and they have to be separated and it is not the quality of life he deserves. He is not dog aggressive. Due to the abuse he endured, he is scared of the crate and the car, but with encouragement, he will enter (1st owners locked him up in a crate with no food and left him outside in the summer heat all day which burned the skin off his back. He was not a fighting dog). We love him dearly and this is a very difficult decision to make.

Hi, I`m Zara! I am a 7 year old French Bulldog with a heart full of love! I am a super sweet girl who loves people, and loves cuddling! When I first came to HSFC I was suffering from lots of tummy issues. After a stay at the vet we found out I have some very severe allergies to chicken, and I`ve been doing a LOT better! Through all of my sickness I remained a goofy, affectionate girl, always gently asking for pets and kisses!
