Story

Maya was a stray until recently. She found us and we had her scanned for a chip. She comes from the Macon, Ga area was re-homed at some point but the new owner cannot be contacted (phone and e-mail no longer work). Maya is a SWEET dog. She’s over 2 years old, house broken, and very affectionate. She is good with adults and kids. Maya has a lot of energy so she needs a yard for exercise. We need to find her a permanent loving home because we have 4 adopted dogs and 4 adopted cats. Maya gets along great with the other dogs. She plays with them and is really good with male and female pets. She does not like cats though. She chases our cats, but never cornered one. We are not sure what she would do if she caught one. Maya would do well as a single dog or other dogs. She likes to play so a yard or close by park would be ideal. she is as sweet of a dog as i’ve ever been around. The only reason we need to rehome her is we already have so many pets we are taking care of.

I adopted Guapo when he was 7 weeks old from a friend, and now he is about to be 7 years old on December 27th. Guapo is the biggest baby I’ve ever met in my life.. he wants nothing more in this world than butt scratches, cuddles, and to spend every minute with you every day. He’s a very clingy boy, but in the best way possible. He’s timid around new places and people, but once you show him you’re sweet, he opens up immediately and will give you so many kisses. Kisses are his thing.. he does drive by kisses all the time. He’s scared of loud noises like thunder or gunshots, but cuddling up with me helps calm him down. I just want someone or a family who will be able to love him like me and have the free time to spend with him, take him on walks and play with him every single day. He still has the heart and energy of a puppy and he deserves someone who has the time to make him a priority. Want him to find a loving home!

Labrador/Terrier mix senior male medium black/white Oh my, this sweet guy is so loving. He came in to our hearts as El Jefe, the "boss". Pushy he's not unless it's to wanting to give kisses and affection. Oh yummy! He is a social dog and just enjoys being around people. We hope to put a happy ending to the story that brought him to us. Through no fault of his own, Jefe's owners brought him to the clinic to be euthanized. The vet thought Jefe had so much more life to live and love to share. He called and asked could we take him and find him a family who will love him.......the rest of his life. And that's the happy ending we are working on for him.......and we hope you will help. Jefe is happy being a couch potato but if you invite him to go for a walk...yeah...he's on it. Great on a leash. He may dawdle a bit.....that's canine speak for slowing down to check out all the wonderful smells. A great companion with whom everyday life is so much better. Great with other dogs. He lives at the School right now but ideal would be for him to be sharing his love with a family.
