Story
Meet our local celebrity, Dora the Explorer! Dora is around 3 years old and she weighs around 58 lbs. Dora was spotted for over 1 year traveling a wide area and numerous concerned citizens became concerned that Dora had lost her way and her family. A group of volunteers made it their mission to rescue Dora. After being caught it was evident that at some point she had a family that loved her because she knew many commands and was proving to be a very intelligent girl. Dora is very playful. She bonds to her humans very quickly and would just love to be a couch potato when she is not out in the yard entertaining herself or having fun playing fetch. Her foster family has several older dogs and Dora seems fine with them, however, Dora would do great as well, as a single dog family because she loves her people! Any questions about her can be answered by her foster mom and we can put you in touch with her. Dora is ready to travel when the perfect home is found for her. Story
This big ultra ham, meatball of a bully is Riley! This guy came into the pound when his owner was hospitalized and Riley was left indefinitely in his owners apartment. Fortunately it was realized that he was in there and animal control was able to get him out of the apartment and bring him to the pound. This wrinkly mush was so sad and confused. The pound was full and it became clear quick that this guy needed to make it out. Thankfully a fabulous foster was found to take him in until he finds his new forever home! This hunk is about 4-5 years old and weighs 70 lbs currently though will likely fill out a little to be about 75 lbs. He’s thick, wrinkly, and adorable! He’s a blend of bulldogs which is excellent as you have the big mushiness and wrinkles but no health issues! This guy is now current on vaccines, deworming, microchipped, neutered, and he’s current on preventative as well! He’s doing great and excited to meet his human soulmate! This guy has been absolutely fantastic in foster care. From day one he hasn’t had any accidents, he walks great on a leash, he plays with toys, is non destructive and has been the perfect blend of easy going but ready for adventure. He’s fine having a lazy day on the sofa catching a movie, and he’s also happy to hop right in the car to go for a ride with you anywhere you want to go! He’s lived as an only dog his entire life so he is a great candidate for a home who would like to only have a single dog, however he’s also been great with other friendly dogs, so a home with doggy friends is good too! He is an avid snuggler and absolutely enjoys snuggling in bed at night and being your bestest friend. He enjoys hikes and long walks, playing fetch in the yard, playing with toys, really whatever you’d like to do, he’s ready for it. He’ll read your energy and be lazy on lazy days, and take on the world on days where you’re ready for adventure! He’s a great age, big teddy bear mush size, he loves to give kisses and hugs, and can’t wait to put the past behind him and move forward into a loving, happy, devoted home that he can call his very own forever. If this gorgeous guy is your dream pup, please visit www.greatdivideanimalrescue.org and submit an application for adoption today!!!

Story
Meet our big goofy guy named Bongo! Bongo is about 6 years old, and he is an American Bulldog mix. Bongo came to us after his owner lost his home and he had nowhere to take Bongo. In his kennel, Bongo is a bit sad looking, but once he is out with us, he is a really happy and doofy boy! He is a large dog weighing about 80 lbs. Bongo loves to get attention and get butt scratches. He is middle aged and has some older dog lumps and bumps on him. He is a nice dog who would love to have a home with a family to love up on him! Bongo has shown he is friendly with other dogs and he is playful with them if they are friendly towards him. He can go to a home with children 12 years old and older. If you are interested in adopting Bongo, Please Email us at Adopt@savingpawsct.org for an application! His adoption fee is $75.00. PLEASE CHECK YOUR EMAIL SPAM FOLDER! MAC IS OPEN 7 DAYS A WEEK (M-F 8-4pm) (Sat-Sun 10-4pm) Applications must be submitted and approved BEFORE a meet and greet can be scheduled to meet an animal. Bully breed specific permission is required if you rent or own a condo. If you own your home, proof of home ownership is required. If there are other pets in the home they must be licensed (if a dog) and up to date on vaccinations. If there is another dog in the home a dog interaction must be done at the shelter before adoption, to ensure the safety and well being of all pets. All children in the home need to be declared and brought down to meet the animal. Applications must be submitted and approved BEFORE a meet and greet can be scheduled to meet an animal. Story
Welcome Contessa to CCPAL Rescue. She is a 6-year-old American Bulldog/Pittie mix is our guess. She has an adorable blue and one brown eye. She weighs about 50 pounds and is good with other dogs. She barks at her kennel door so her best place would be with a wooden privacy fence. She is moderate to low activity and loves to be touched. She is good in her crate and will make some lucky family a good companion. She is lower energy so she could go with a more relaxed and laid-back family. She could also go with children. We like them to be 10 or older. She was found as a stray on the construction site and had to survive until a good Samaritan caught her and brought her to CCPAL rescue. She warms up slowly but bonds deeply to her people. She has fallen in love with the kennel fellas. She is currently in Texas and can be adopted locally in Texas or we can work with one of the wonderful transporters to get her to Washington, Portland, Minnesota, Vermont or all along the East Coast. Her adoption fee is 200 and transport is 180. She is healthy, vaccinated, spayed and ready for her forever home. Rhode Island and Massachusetts are not states we adopt to because of the regulations imposed by these states Contact Marlene at 210-867-1769 or email to ccpalinquiries@gmail.com if you have questions. Story
Welcome Buddy to CCPAL Rescue. He is a 2-year old American Bulldog and Australian Cattle dog is our best guess on the mix. He has a lower coat and does shed. He is a bit of a puller on leash when he first gets out of his kennel. He is intelligent, affectionate and ready to learn. It doesn’t appear he would be hard to train but may have not had a lot of training in his first home. He would be great for a runner, jogger or hiker. He is sturdy and could keep pace and would love to join his human. He is in my opinion a perfect man dog. He loves men naturally and leans in to show his affection. He hasn’t been reactive on leash when walking around other dogs. He is social and not afraid of new people. He is exuberant so we think he would be best around children that are 8 or older. He would do great with an active family that wants an active companion. He does slow down and likes to chill out as well. He is not perpetual motion. He is getting neutered soon and is already getting his vaccinations and will be chipped. He is hw negative and ready for his forever home. He is currently in Texas and can be adopted locally or we can work with one of the wonderful transporters to get him to Washington, Portland (Oregon), Minnesota, Vermont or all along the East Coast. His adoption fee is 300 and transport is 200. . Rhode Island and Massachusetts are not states we adopt to because of the regulations imposed by these states Contact Marlene at 210-867-1769 or email to ccpalinquiries@gmail.com if you have questions. PLEASE NOTE! Unless stated otherwise, our dogs and puppies are located in Arkansas, and transported to the north/northeast once adopted. We do occasionally have dogs/puppies placed in foster homes in the north/northeast. In the cases where the pet is somewhere other than Arkansas, it will be noted beside the name of the pet.12/14/24 STILL AVAILABLE 11/10/24 'I like big MUTTS and i can not lie!' Mr. Biggs is estimated to be 2 years old and weighs 75 pounds. He is very sweet and wants to please. We believe he is American Bulldog. He does well around other dogs but would probably do best in a home with calm dogs and not pushy ones. He can be cat tested if needed. He does like to look at cats out the window and seems really interested like he might want to chase one. He is laid back and likes to just chill on his dog bed but can also get playful every once in a while. He loves food and would probably do anything for food. He has the most adorable squishy face and the best facial expressions. Loves to be pet and loved on. He is crate trained and has only had a couple of accidents in the house when not in the crate. He is good about giving a little bark when he needs to go out. He walks very well on leash, and he LOVES to go for car rides. This guy never meets a stranger- he is all butt wiggles, tail wags, and slobbery kisses for everyone he meets. Mr. Biggs was rescued off of a busy interstate where he was scrounging for food. We have searched for his home to no avail. He had no collar or identification and no microchip. We have had him fully vetted (vaccs, heartworm negative, neutered, microchipped, etc.)Located in Arkansas, but transport is available. Adopter must be able to pick up or arrange for someone to pick up for them at one of the following times/locations. Story
Meet Maui, a handsome 7 years young neutered male boxer/terrier mix, weighing about 65 lbs! Maui's story is a sad one. He was taken from a home in east TN due to neglect after it was discovered that the teenager in the home was killing small animals for fun Fortunately, he was taken into rescue and has been doing amazingly well in foster care! He is now ready to find his furever home, where he will be safe and loved for the rest of his days. Maui is a very sweet, friendly boy who is good with EVERYONE! He does great with other dogs, cats, people, and kids. He is medically up to date, housebroken, and crate trained. From Maui's TN foster: "I’ve been fostering Maui for a few months now. Nursing him back to health. His previous foster had cats and two dogs. He was only moved to me because his foster's senior cat did not like having him around and was peeing on his mom at night out of spite. No fault of Maui just an old grouchy cat.  He’s been at my doggie daycare since. He's done well with every dog I’ve introduced him to. (with proper intro). He is crate trained (he eats and sleeps in his kennel and is kenneled when no one is home) He knows how to use a doggie door and is housebroken. He is great with kids despite the situation he came from. He just loves to be loved." Apply to meet this special boy today!  Adoption fees vary based on the dog and are not negotiable. As a small rescue that does not receive government funding or grants, we rely on adoption fees to stay afloat. Adoption fees help cover the following: vaccinations, wellness exams, heartworm/4DX testing, parasite prevention, spay/neuter (age-appropriate), microchipping, transport expenses, and other rescue-related overhead/administrative costs. Paws Rescue League, Inc is an all-inclusive rescue that does NOT only rescue puppies and young, healthy dogs.  We make a point to also rescue seniors, dogs with special needs, moms, and other “less desirable” dogs, knowing that we will likely incur higher veterinary expenses and that these dogs may take longer to get adopted.  As such, an individual adoption fee is not only reimbursing PRL for expenses directly related to that dog, but it is also helping us to continue our mission of taking in dogs that would otherwise be too much of a financial burden to save. We believe that ALL dogs deserve a second chance. Thank you for your support and understanding! ##2251459##
