Story
Hardy is an absolute gem of a puppy! He loves to play, he's super smart, and he earns all As in the Very Good Boy department! He is going to make a fantastic addition to his new home. Hardy Is spayed/neutered, up to date on age-appropriate vaccinations, treated for all of the intestinal parasites, and current on flea/tick and heartworm preventative. Because intestinal parasites are cyclical, your puppy may need additional treatment once you get him/her home. This is common and nothing to be alarmed about. Puppies and dogs need to be treated periodically for parasites throughout their entire lives. Visit our website to see our weekend Events here! Pups with the designated “meet me” next to their names are in CT and ready to attend adoption events. Please check with your adoption coordinator if you are interested in a specific dog prior to coming to an event, as a dog's availability to attend can change at any time. We can not guarantee approval on site at the events, so we recommend applying ahead of time. You can apply at the event, but the application process may not be able to be completed the same day. If you are not pre-approved, you are still welcome to come and meet pup’s at the event! The adoption fee is $600 which includes spay/neuter, up to date vaccinations, flea/tick and heartworm preventatives, and the mandatory CT HB 5368 fee. More and more of our adopters are having fun with DNA tests on their pups. You might ask yourself why our breed guess is varying degrees of difference from the DNA tests. Most of our puppies are rescued from high kill shelters or other abandonment situations and we have no info on parents. When we rescue puppies that have no background info, we make our very best educated guess as to breed mix and age. Our guesstimate comes from years and years and years of animal welfare work and training, but our guesses won't always agree with your vet, your neighbor, your DNA test, etc. The most important thing to know about your puppy's breed mix is that most likely he/she is a Super Lovable Mutt made of many many many different breeds. If you are a MA resident, your new family member is required to go through a mandatory 48 hour quarantine period at the Woburn MA isolation facility. Your new family member will be dropped off by our transport on Thursday and will be ready for you to pick him/her up on Saturday between 11 am-1 pm. An additional $100 fee will be added for any dogs picked up from the Woburn MA quarantine facility. This additional fee is necessary in order to comply with MA Order 405-CD-12 and Order 1-AHO-05. TO APPLY PLEASE GO TO www.cprdogs.com. If your application was successfully submitted you will get an automatically generated confirmation email. Please DO NOT USE the ADOPTAPET "CONTACT THIS RESCUE GROUP" form below or you may not hear from us as these often end up in spam or bouncing back. After receipt of your application, an adoption counselor will then be in touch to answer your questions about this pup, discuss the adoption process and get the ball rolling! If you have not heard from one of our volunteers within 5 days of submitting your application, please email mollibo@gmail.com.

Story
CHARLESTON IS IN HIS FOSTER HOME IN MEMPHIS, TN. CHARLESTON WILL BE TRANSPORTED TO CT ONCE HE IS ADOPTED!    This hunk is Charleston. He is a four year old Bulldog mix. He is the sweetest fun loving goofball. He is a big boy who loves attention. He wants you to pet him, and he wants to lean into you with his whole body. He does not meet a stranger in a person or dog. He loves playing in the backyard with his toys, and then lounging on the porch sunbathing. He gets excited to go anywhere. He will run to the door and wait for you to let him out- then he jumps right in the car. This adorable boy has the most stunning eyes. We believe Charleston has some hearing loss. He seems to hear some pitches, but either doesn’t hear the others or ignores them. He does good walking on a leash, is kennel trained, and house trained. He loves greatly- he will become your shadow. If he wants your attention he will whine/talk to you to let you know. Charleston is a big boy with still a lot of puppy energy so a home with older children would be best. This guy is amazing, and deserves the perfect forever home! He is fully vetted, neutered, and microchipped.  His adoption fee of $500 includes the transport to CT.  We use a licensed and registered USDA transport company that will bring Charleston up north to his new family.   If you have any questions, please email us at:   newbeginnings_animalrescue@yahoo.com You can apply to adopt Charleston  here: www.newbeginningsanimalrescue.net THANK YOU FOR CONSIDERING ADOPTING A RESCUED PET!   Visit this organization's web site to see any additional information available about this pet.November 5, 2024, 1:30 pm

Story
**This dog will NOT be attending the event due to her not liking other dogs. If interested in meeting TayTay, please apply via Dog Days or www.brasscityrescue.org Meet Taylor, a playful girl looking for her forever home! She was abandoned in a crate outside of our shelter in March 2024. She was emaciated and in rough shape. She's got a healthy appetite and we were able to easily put weight on her and build an immediate repore with her. This cute and curious chick is a people pleaser who loves to be around her human friends. She is full of energy and always ready for an adventure. With her intelligence and playful personality, Taylor will make the perfect companion for someone who enjoys long walks or runs in the park. She loves to explore and would be an ideal fit for an active household. Taylor is looking for a home with no other pets and no young children. As a curious and playful gal, she can get easily distracted by other animals and may need correction to keep it moving on walks. It's kind of like seeing a squirrel!! She loves spending her days playing with her favorite toys and is very independent. Taylor appreciates long walks, and cuddling. She loves to roll in the dirt and grass but doesn't fight bath time too much. She has a prescription diet for her allergies and gets a benedryl as needed. She's been waiting so long for a home and it's been emotionally taxing on her but she's resilient. Are you her looking for a diamond in the rough? She's it. Apply to adopt her at www.brasscityrescue.org

Story
Meet Gypsy, a sweet, 10-month-old, 65 lb. American Bulldog/Boxer mix with one striking blue eye and one warm brown eye, complemented by her stunning marbled coat. She was rescued from a terrible backyard breeding situation in Stratford by a kind-hearted good samaritan. Despite her rough start in life, Gypsy has blossomed into an affectionate, loving girl who is now looking for her furever home. After being adopted in July, Gypsy is now looking for a new home due to not getting along with one of the dogs in her current household, however, is fine with the other. Gypsy is a social butterfly who thrives on attention and affection. She adores meeting new people, making dog friends, and being surrounded by love. Whether it’s playtime with other pups, snuggling up with humans, or enjoying adventures, Gypsy’s happiness shines through in everything she does. She's playful and full of energy, loving soccer, squeaky toys, and any chance to frolic in the yard. She’s also fantastic with kids and enjoys their company during her fun-filled days. This big-hearted girl is well-behaved, house-trained, and crate-trained. She has already mastered a variety of basic commands and is eager to please. Although she enjoys her walks, Gypsy can get a little excited and might pull on the leash, so she benefits from using an easy walk harness. She’s not in a hurry—she prefers to take her time sniffing and exploring her surroundings. Gypsy’s ideal home would include a fenced yard where she can run and play, as she enjoys the freedom to explore. She also loves car rides and is the perfect travel companion for adventures big and small. When it’s time to pamper her, she’s happy to be bathed and get her nails done, showing off her cooperative side. Her adoption fee is $450 and she is vaccinated, heartworm negative, microchipped, and spayed. If you are interested in this sweetheart, please complete the application at form.jotform.com/200883908893166. For questions, email info@happilyfureverafter.org.

Story
Meet our big goofy guy named Bongo! Bongo is about 6 years old, and he is an American Bulldog mix. Bongo came to us after his owner lost his home and he had nowhere to take Bongo. In his kennel, Bongo is a bit sad looking, but once he is out with us, he is a really happy and doofy boy! He is a large dog weighing about 80 lbs. Bongo loves to get attention and get butt scratches. He is middle aged and has some older dog lumps and bumps on him. He is a nice dog who would love to have a home with a family to love up on him! Bongo has shown he is friendly with other dogs and he is playful with them if they are friendly towards him. He can go to a home with children 12 years old and older. If you are interested in adopting Bongo, Please Email us at Adopt@savingpawsct.org for an application! His adoption fee is $75.00. PLEASE CHECK YOUR EMAIL SPAM FOLDER! MAC IS OPEN 7 DAYS A WEEK (M-F 8-4pm) (Sat-Sun 10-4pm) Applications must be submitted and approved BEFORE a meet and greet can be scheduled to meet an animal. If there are other pets in the home they must be licensed (if a dog) and up to date on vaccinations. If there is another dog in the home a dog interaction must be done at the shelter before adoption, to ensure the safety and well being of all pets. All children in the home need to be declared and brought down to meet the animal. Applications must be submitted and approved BEFORE a meet and greet can be scheduled to meet an animal.
