KANGA  thrives on adventure and would love an active adopter who will take him on adventures and give him plenty of play time! Kanga is a loyal guy and will be a great companion for someone. He LOVES the snow in the winter and to swim in the summer.  His number one favorite activity (even more than walks and treats) is going for car rides! He likes feeling the wind in his face through an open window (car surfing). Kanga is incredibly observant and curious. Kanga’s comfort with people has grown significantly while in rescue. He does need a little time to build trust, but eventually he will follow you around and give you kisses! He is also quite affectionate and loyal to those he bonds with. Kanga has excellent house manners and is happy to chill on his bed or lay beside you as you work. He has basic training and knows: sit, down, come, get it, stay, and release and is ready for the next level of training. He is very treat motivated and responds well to a clicker. Kanga just needs to know you can be counted on to pay attention to his physical cues when he’s feeling overwhelmed. Kanga would do best in a home setting with a secure yard and would prefer to be your only pet. He might do well with savvy teens as long as they are aware of Kanga’s “dog language” and can give him space when he needs it.  Are you the active, patient, forever home that Kanga is seeking? Little Miss SHELBY is a sweetheart with a big smile and a nonstop tail wag!  Based on her size, we expect she is a malamute and husky mix, bringing the best of both breeds.  She knows basic commands, "sit", "down" and "wait" but could use further training.  She is food motivated which will help when teaching her new commands and tricks.  SHELBY is good on the leash and will enjoy joining you on all of your outdoor adventures.  She is a  loving, playful, active girl who generally does well with other dogs once they have established who is boss in the house (hint: it's her!). SHELBY has food allergies that will require a special diet and lifetime of medication.  Therefore, she needs a family that can afford her medications, special food and has the time to administrator them. SHELBY would love for you to open up your home to her and she promises to not steal the couch...well, at least not the whole couch! My Story Ghost is a sweet, playful and loving 2 year old, Malamute/Shepherd mix who is looking for his forever home! He is super friendly and happy and loves to play around outside with his people! He is a leaner and loves pets and attention too. Ghost walks well on leash but can get excited and pull at times. He is large, around 75-80lbs and will needs owners who can handle his size and strength. Ghost does good with other dogs and came from a home where he lived with two other large dogs. No cats or small animals for him. He would do well with another large laid back dog in the home. And he would make a great adventure buddy! Ghost is current on shots, neutered and microchipped. His adoption fee is $500. You can fill out an adoption application online on our official website.COURTESY LISTING Abram  is a big, sweet good-natured boy. He is  a pack dog, much more comfortable around dogs than people. He  walks well on leash [but like most dogs does pull when excited] however, when he sees other people while out on a walk, he becomes shy and hides behind his human.  He has good recall with the people he trusts.  We don't know if he is housetrained as he is being housed outdoors with other rescues. He is currently in a 6' fenced enclosure with dig guards. No food aggression with people or dogs. Abram is shy and it takes time to trust. Loves to hike  in woods for a couple hours a day for exercise and  rides well in the car. See our adoption process. *** Adoption Pending***   YUKI means snow in Japanese and that is exactly what this girl loves!  Give her a nice cold snowy day and she is happy. She is a lover and conversationalist who is great with kids and toddlers and enjoys meeting new people. At backyard BBQs she is an attentive hostess, looking to share your meal. YUKI does well with all dogs, big or small, she is ready to play.  But would be happy in a one dog home as she wants all of the pets for herself.  She knows basic commands and walks well on a leash. She is content with several short strolls a day, but also loves a good hike or jog. Car ride? Camping?  As long as she is with you on an adventure she is thrilled.  YUKI does not need a large yard and does well in a big 48x30x30 crate.  However, if you have a yard, that would be great too. But she would need a good wipe down if she laid in the grass because she does have some allergies. If you are looking for a loving companion who just wants to be with her humans and can accommodate her allergies,  Yuki is the girl for you!
