Story
Meet Ruby — a 4 year old, 10 lb Pomeranian with a big personality wrapped in a tiny, fluffy package. Quick Facts: Name: Ruby Breed: Pomeranian Mix Age: 4 years old Weight: 10 lbs. House-Trained: Yes (will need to be taken out ever 2-3 hours) Crate-Trained: Yes Good with Dogs: Yes (lives currently with small dogs) Good with Cats: Yes Good with Kids: No (will need an adult only household) Energy Level: Low to medium Fence Required: No Special Note: Ruby has a kneecap that is not at a normal position and is only noticeable when she kicks out her back legs to stretch. She does just fine on it, and does not show any discomfort or pain. She has been checked out by our recue vet and had radiographs taken to determine that since it is not symptomatically bothering her, she will not need surgery or treatment at this time. She will need to take Dasuquin for the rest of her life. About Ruby’s Breed: Our best guess is that Ruby is a Pomeranian (possibly mixed) breed. Pomeranians are tiny dogs with big personalities—confident, alert, and full of charm. They’re known for being affectionate with their people, lively in spirit, and surprisingly bold for their small size. Their fluffy coats and bright expressions match their cheerful, curious nature. An ideal home for a Pomeranian is one that offers companionship, gentle structure, and plenty of attention. They thrive with adults or families who enjoy having a little shadow nearby and can provide regular grooming and mental stimulation. Because they bond closely and can be a bit opinionated, they do best in calm homes where their people appreciate both their sweetness and their spunky streak. All About Ruby: Ruby is the definition of a “people dog.” She adores her person and would happily be held, carried, or cuddled all day long — and she’s small enough that you’ll want to! She’s spunky, bossy, and full of opinions, but also incredibly sweet, alert, and affectionate. With gentle reminders to use her manners, she becomes the most charming little companion! Ruby enjoys her walks, is great on a leash, and doesn’t bark or react to other dogs she passes. She has a medium energy level — not hyper, not sleepy — and spends most of her day lounging beside her foster mom while she works, occasionally getting up to explore the house. She gets along wonderfully with the small dogs and cat in her foster home too! Because she bonds deeply and can be protective of “her person,” Ruby would do best in an adult only, one person household, ideally with someone who has experience redirecting small dog sass. She seems to prefer female energy and thrives with someone who appreciates her adorable yet bold little personality. Ruby is potty trained and crate trained, though she may grumble a bit about going into her crate — but once she’s in, she sleeps peacefully through the night! She also has a mild kneecap quirk that doesn’t cause her pain or affect her mobility, and the rescue vet has confirmed she doesn’t need any treatment at this time. She will need to take Dasuquin for the rest of her life. Ruby is cuddly, quirky, loyal, and full of love — the perfect tiny companion for someone who wants a devoted little shadow with a dash of Pomeranian spice! I'm Lola, your 60 pound bundle of husky happiness!  I am a grown-up girl who is 4 years old.  I'm a total sweetheart with a playful personality, and I've never met a human (old or young) thatI didn't instantly adore! I'm a gentle girl, always up for cuddles, head scratches, and maybe even a few stolen kisses. I am way too interested in cats.  So I need to find a home without kitties so I can be on my best behavior.   Outdoors, I'm a zoomie champion! I love to run and play, especially with my foster sibling. But don't worry, once we're back inside, I transform into the perfect houseguest. I'll curl up and chill out until it's time for another adventure.   I would love a fenced yard and a furry male playmate in my forever home. I am a social girl who will do best in a home with a male dog. But, if you are up to playing and walking with me, that will work too.  I need my exercise to get my wiggles out!  I'm already a leash-walking pro and can't wait to explore the neighborhood with my new family.  I'm a quiet around the house except when I get excited.  My foster mom is working with me, I am a quick learner,  to not bark when I'm excited!  I am not a fan of the crate but I don’t need a crate because I have great house manners.  My foster mom works from home so I sit quietly while she does her work.  I have been left along 4-6 hours with no problems.  I am potty trained with no accidents in the house,  crate-free, and I promise not to chew your shoes.  If you're looking for a loving, loyal, and sweet companion who's always up for fun, I might just be the girl for you! &#226&#157&#164&#239&#184&#143 EVERY DOG HAS A STORY:   Some of the information contained in this biography includes approximations based on our expertise and is not guaranteed.     Applicants must live no further than one hour from Cary NC as our dogs must be seen by a BFPA veterinarian for all medical care prior to adoptions being finalized.  Our foster guardians deliver dogs to their new homes for adoption trials and we do home visits to finalize all adoptions.  We therefore require applicants to live within an hours drive of Cary NC.   INTERESTED IN ADOPTING  LOLA?
