Story
They are actually a pair. Memphis was born April 20th 2023. Layla was born April 16th 2024. These were my wife's dream dogs. She passed away recently and I just can't do it anymore. They deserve a better life. She was able to stay home with them. Now that it's just me they have to stay in crates all day when I'm at work. I never wanted dogs and have no clue what I'm doing. I'm still paying for Layla. I paid $4500 for them. I would take $2000 for them, crates, and toys. They don't know tricks, they were companion puppies. Memphis is potty trained, Layla is difficult and not quite there yet. They are very sweet and get very attached. They are super high energy and I wouldn't recommend having them in an apartment unless you're super active. I love them, they definitely saved my life after my wife passed, I know they deserve better, they're just way too much for me.

Story
Sergeant is a 2-year-old rescue pup from California. He's 1/2 Husky and 1/2 German Shepard. We got him in February of 2023. He's Neutered, chipped and had his 1st shots. He's on Heart Guard Heartworm meds at. We moved to Parker Colorado in October 2024. We have a 4-year-old Yellow Lab, they are best buddies. Sarge is used to running around outside the house with the Lab. Our new place in Parker has a small backyard, he needs more room to play. He knows basic commands, come, sit, stay, lay down, and get in the truck. It was cold yesterday, so both dogs were in the house. Sarge got bored, he chewed up his bedding, a corner on the couch and some furniture. We want to find him a forever home where he can burn off some energy. He's good with kids and other dogs. He gets excited and needs to be told to stay down/sit when he sees kids and new dogs. He's leash trained, we use the Gentle leader for walks. He is protective about his food, but he will share his bones.

Story
Adoption Fee: $475 All animals are UTD on vaccines (may need boosters) and microchipped From the foster: She is known as Hazel Grace in her foster home (she is the color of a hazelnut). The only way to show how amazing she is, is to give her a report card. 0 is the lowest and 100 is the highest. Cuteness overload: 100% and extra credit for her fur that gives her adorable eyebrows. Also her piercing blue eyes that parallel a clear blue sky will melt your heart. She cutest tiny ears that point up when she is curious and sniffing around. Truly, it was love at first sight with this girl! She has fluffy fur and her face is just pure perfection. Snuggles: 100% and extra credit because she wants to snuggle, give kisses and is a love muffin. Her favorite activity is to sleep on the electric blanket with her foster brothers or her pawrents. Crate: she does not spend much time in a crate since one of her pawrents works from home. She does go in willingly and won’t cry when she is in there. Sleeping: she sleeps through the night without much fuss. She will sleep in her dog bed right next to her people. She does need something to chew on to get her to wind down. We give her buffalo hides or something similar so she can chew for a long time. We also leave toys all around her bed. From time to time, she will put her paws on the bed and want to be pet. Once she is asleep, she is pretty good about not making noise. Puppy voice: 100% because she has a cute little playful bark that comes out when she wants something or is playing with her brothers. Listen for differences in her voice. There is usually a warning when she needs to go potty! Appetite: 100%. She eats her kibble with no issues. She is food motivated and she loves cheese and turkey bacon. Energy savings: 100% she will save you on your heating bill this winter by keeping you warm with her snuggles. If you allow her in the bed, she will lay right next to you and keep you warm. This is a huge bonus when it’s cold outside. She also enjoys snuggling up in an electric blanket with you. Playfulness: 100% she wants to play, but she also knows her boundaries with other pups. She knows when they want to stop and she heeds their cues. Potty Training: 70% as she is still a puppy and learning. She will go potty outside when taken. We take her out every hour. She does drink a lot of water so just be mindful of potty breaks when you see her drinking more. When she drinks a lot, we take her out at 30 min intervals. She is also wearing dog diapers here without any fuss. Chewing: 90% as she is learning what is appropriate to chew on. She responds to a firm “NO” and then give her an appropriate chew toy. Watch her around things like cords or anything that could be unsafe. She had chewed on appropriate toys when given them. Overall, she is recommended 100% for anyone who wants a sweet and very affectionate little pup. www.coloradopuppy.org/how-to-adopt
