Swan is almost 3 months old and is a sassy ball of energy. Shes fluffy, and the cutest, Akita,Husky, Cattle Dog mix. It’s getting harder and harder to get pictures of her as she loves to wiggle around! New tricks this week….she’s mastered the doggie door, can scarf down her food under 2 minutes, and is becoming quite the climber. She is crate trained, sleeps through the night, and learning to potty outside. She loves kids and can match their energy. Shes eager to please! She’s going to be a big dog and has huge puppy paws. Let’s help her find a home and a family to grow with!IMPORTANT: Please read all below, especially if you live outside of Texas, which is where our rescue is located.Apply to adopt on our website: https://www.charmingpetrescue.org/adoptAll of our animals are spayed/neutered, microchipped, and up to date on shots.ALL of our animals are located in Boerne, TX, but transport after adoption is available to other states for a $300 fee for dogs or an additional fee varying by location for cats. Story
Jason Momoa is a looker, just like his name sake- and thankfully, he's just a great a dog as he is good looking! He is slightly smaller than your typical American Akita but he's got that Akita mindset. This means he can be a little reserved when meeting new people, but as he's young and smart, he's learned quickly that people bring the fun (and food)- so he makes friends quickly now. He also loves to play and along with training, these are the keys to his heart! He already knows quite a few commands and walks well on a leash- but also loves to run and play in the yard. He plays his own version of fetch which mostly involves running around with the ball- not so much bringing it back- but he loves this game! Typical for his breed, he can be slightly protective and this is why we require someone with previous "power breed" or Akita experience. Akitas are typically not first time dogs and they need boundaries and structure that most first time owners do not understand (which is exactly why he is with us). Jason is crate trained and housebroken. He would do best in a home with no children. Home cannot have other male dogs, and/or smaller breeds. Jason is UTD on vaccines, microchipped, and neutered. ADOPTION DONATION: $600.00. Your adoption donation goes toward the cost of this vet care as well as transportation and general care costs. All dogs adopted from Motley Zoo come with a leash and Martingale collar. Each dog also receives a "Tour Gear Bag" full of brochures, coupons, and supplies for your new pup! Please visit our website www.motleyzoorescue.org to learn more about this amazing pet and to see other available dogs and cats.

Story
FOREVER HOME NEEDED Introducing Hiro! He is a 3.5-year-old, 100lb Akita, who came to us from an overcroweded shelter in CA. Hiro is an awesome dog who is currently in foster care where he has been able to work on basic obedience, house manners, and being socialized with the world. He walks very well on leash, is treat motivated, and is up for any adventure. He has done well with other dogs and would make a great additional dog to a home or he would be fine as an only dog with continued socialization. He has a calm and mellow personality and is more than fine walking/sitting around observing the world with you. We are looking for an adopter with large breed experience and a standalone home with a yard for him. Hiro is a gentle giant that is going to make a wonderful addition to any lucky household that adopts him. And he’s definitely one handsome guy! Hiro is UTD in vaccinations, microchipped, and neutered. His adoption fee is $450

Click the button to download the adoption application. The application is a form-fillable pdf. Fill out the form, save it to your hard drive, then email back to sian@gingerspetrescue.org Hi!  My name is Xavier from Korea and I am a wonderful approximately 5 month old  male Akita - Jindo mix.  I weigh approximately 14 lbs. and so excited to find my new forever home.  I am very happy, affectionate, smart, and friendly.  I was saved from the Korean kill shelter where I was due to be euthanized. The activists came and saved me and I can't wait to come to America and find a family to love and care for me forever.  Approximately over a million dogs a year are slaughtered to be eaten.  I am so lucky to get a one-way ticket to Seattle to find my new family.  Take me on car rides, walks in the park, and I will become your best friend.  I get along well with people of all ages, gentle kids, and other dogs.  I will do best with a loving family that can give me lots of love, and affection!  On all overseas adoption, we highly recommend our pet rescue dog trainer who will help train your new pup.  My adoption fee of $1,295 will cover my spay/neuter, DA2PP shots, Rabies, Bordetella, Deworm, Heart Worm Test, Microchip, Boarding Fees, Health Certificate and airline transport cost from Korea to Seattle.   A GPS tracker or Apple Air Tag is required for all adopted dogs. You can bring your own when adopting or you can purchase an Air Tag from us   We cannot guarantee breed or age. The adoption fee is firm and helps save the life of another dog needing rescue and our other dogs in need of medical care.  Donations are always appreciated to help pay down our vet bills at Greenwood Vet.  Ginger's Pet Rescue is a non-profit 501C-3 organization.  The adoption fee is donated to the rescue and is tax deductible.   Please e-mail   admin@gingerspetrescue.org   for an adoption application. Story
Meet Chinook! This fun-loving, spunky, and smart guy is ready to find his new family! At 6-years-old, this Husky mix is still full of puppy pep. He loves to run and play, and will make an excellent hiking, jogging, or adventure buddy. When he`s not showing off his athletic moves, he enjoys working on brain puzzles and learning new tricks. Chinook is looking to be the only pet in his new home so he doesn`t have to share his human`s attention with any other furry ones. He can be reactive to dogs on leash and will do best in a quieter area where he can go for walks and runs without having to pass too many other dogs. Chinook is looking for a home with just dog-experienced teens and adults, and no apartments, please. Chinook would absolutely love a securely fenced yard where he can safely get out his zoomies. If you`re ready to welcome home this special guy, make an adoption appointment to meet him today! #activelifestyle #playful #nodogs #nocats

Story
Look at this gorgeous guy! Toast is not only handsome on the outside, but on the inside too. This 1-year-old husky mix is a very nice guy who makes friends with everyone he meets. Toast is hoping his new family can give him plenty of daily exercise, playtime, and mental enrichment. And of course, treats - Toast loves his treats! We don`t know how Toast is with other dogs or cats, so any introductions to resident pets should be done slowly. Toast will likely do well with older kids who are comfortable around large, jumpy, and active dogs. If Toast seems like your match, send in an adoption application today! *Toast is currently in a foster home and not located in the shelter.#activelifestyle #playful

Story
We’ve got Husky puppies! These adorable 4-month-olds are ready to strike out on their own! Carson, Caroline, Camilla, and Cameron are friendly, spunky, and full of personality. They are young and are looking for experienced adopters who can help teach them all about the world. They will need help with their potty training, leash training, and socialization. Carson, Caroline, Camilla, and Cameron will be active dogs and need plenty of daily exercise and mental enrichment. These three do well with other dogs but we don’t know about cats. Any introductions to resident pets should be done slowly. These pups will likely do best with older, dog-experienced kids who are comfortable around large, rowdy pups. If you’re ready to welcome home one of these adorable puppies, make an adoption appointment today! #playful #dogcompatible
