Story
Meet Dooly💜 Three siblings Dooly, Douner, and Ddochi were rescued from Korean city shelter where they lived for 2 months without their mom. Dooly received training at a training center and learned how to live with people. We hope and wish that Dooly will find a loving foster or forever family. * Because he is living at Adogs center with a group of dogs, we don’t know if he has separation anxiety or if he is housebroken. 💟 Personality and characteristics *Keyword: Smiley #SmileyAngel #Timid *Energy level (1-10): lv.5~6 *Dooli is a pup who has a goofy smile that looks extremely cute!😁 In contrast to his siblings Donner and Ddochi, he is a charming yellow pup with his beautiful yellow coat! *He was a timid pup who lacked some social skills and after he was trained at training class, he improved and is doing better!👍🏻 *Dooli actively runs around and is very energetic! To meet his energy and active nature, it would be ideal if he could be adopted to a family where they can consistently walk him every day!

Story
Hi! My name is Anita the Akita! and I am available for adoption.I was brought in by a good Samaritan on 09/20/2024.The shelter is unsure of my mix or how big ill will get. By my appearance the shelter thinks I could be a akita mix if you`d like to learn more about akitas here is a link https://www.akc.org/dog-breeds/akita/ I am still on the young side.I weigh 54 lbs and am considered a large breed dog.I am a very smart dog! At the shelter I am practicing how to `sit`, `stay`, `come`, `down` and `shake`.I am an affectionate lovebug who would be thrilled to cuddle up with you at home!I am an independent dog who likes to do my own thing!I am full of energy and I love to play! I tend to calm down more when the people around me stay calm. I do best when I have lots of exercise and something to keep my mind busy.My caregivers have noticed that I seem to do well with other large dogs. When meeting dogs in a new home, I would do best with a slow introduction.

Story
Jason Momoa is a looker, just like his name sake- and thankfully, he's just a great a dog as he is good looking! He is slightly smaller than your typical American Akita but he's got that Akita mindset. This means he can be a little reserved when meeting new people, but as he's young and smart, he's learned quickly that people bring the fun (and food)- so he makes friends quickly now. He also loves to play and along with training, these are the keys to his heart! He already knows quite a few commands and walks well on a leash- but also loves to run and play in the yard. He plays his own version of fetch which mostly involves running around with the ball- not so much bringing it back- but he loves this game! Typical for his breed, he can be slightly protective and this is why we require someone with previous "power breed" or Akita experience. Akitas are typically not first time dogs and they need boundaries and structure that most first time owners do not understand (which is exactly why he is with us). Jason is crate trained and housebroken. He would do best in a home with no children. Jason is UTD on vaccines, microchipped, and neutered. ADOPTION DONATION: $600.00. Your adoption donation goes toward the cost of this vet care as well as transportation and general care costs. All dogs adopted from Motley Zoo come with a leash and Martingale collar. Each dog also receives a "Tour Gear Bag" full of brochures, coupons, and supplies for your new pup! Please visit our website www.motleyzoorescue.org to learn more about this amazing pet and to see other available dogs and cats.

The Seattle Animal Shelter is committed to reducing length of stay for all of our shelter pets! Some pets qualify for FREE or reduced adoption fees, please inquire with our Animal Care team to learn more.Gladys is a 10-year-old beauty who’s the perfect mix of calm and cuddly! Her foster mom says she’s “the easiest foster I’ve ever had!” With her loving, gentle personality, Gladys spends her days lounging, soaking up belly rubs, cuddles, and kisses, and just being the sweetest companion you could ask for.Gladys is fully potty trained, rarely barks, and is wonderfully low-maintenance. She’s happy with gentle, easy walks but is just as content to relax at home with her favorite humans, ready to be your best snuggle buddy. A true people-lover, she’ll bring so much warmth and loyalty into her forever home. She’s great with kids and does well on her own when left alone. While Gladys is friendly with other dogs, she can be a little protective over her food, so she will need to be fed separately from other animals in the home or the only dog in the household. If you’re looking for a laid-back, affectionate companion who’s all about love, Gladys would love to be the calm and steady presence in your life! Story
birthday 10/19/2022 Benson is a really good boy. He has territorial aggression and would need to be in a home with no kids and a large yard. He is a very good listener, loves to play catch, loves the water but hasn’t fully swam yet but he figures it out. He could use some leash training during walking as he’s normally off leash at the park.

Click the button to download the adoption application. The application is a form-fillable pdf. Fill out the form, save it to your hard drive, then email back to sian@gingerspetrescue.org Hi!  My name is Xavier from Korea and I am a wonderful approximately 5 month old  male Akita - Jindo mix.  I weigh approximately 14 lbs. and so excited to find my new forever home.  I am very happy, affectionate, smart, and friendly.  I was saved from the Korean kill shelter where I was due to be euthanized. The activists came and saved me and I can't wait to come to America and find a family to love and care for me forever.  Approximately over a million dogs a year are slaughtered to be eaten.  I am so lucky to get a one-way ticket to Seattle to find my new family.  Take me on car rides, walks in the park, and I will become your best friend.  I get along well with people of all ages, gentle kids, and other dogs.  I will do best with a loving family that can give me lots of love, and affection!  On all overseas adoption, we highly recommend our pet rescue dog trainer who will help train your new pup.  My adoption fee of $1,295 will cover my spay/neuter, DA2PP shots, Rabies, Bordetella, Deworm, Heart Worm Test, Microchip, Boarding Fees, Health Certificate and airline transport cost from Korea to Seattle.   A GPS tracker or Apple Air Tag is required for all adopted dogs. You can bring your own when adopting or you can purchase an Air Tag from us   We cannot guarantee breed or age. The adoption fee is firm and helps save the life of another dog needing rescue and our other dogs in need of medical care.  Donations are always appreciated to help pay down our vet bills at Greenwood Vet.  Ginger's Pet Rescue is a non-profit 501C-3 organization.  The adoption fee is donated to the rescue and is tax deductible.   Please e-mail   admin@gingerspetrescue.org   for an adoption application. A reference check, phone interview, and home visit will be completed before meeting an adoptable dog. We work quickly. Please do not submit an application until you are ready to bring a new furry family member home. Expect your references to be contacted shortly after submitting your application. We adopt out to homes around the US and Canada, but require that you are present for the meet and greet in Newcastle, WA. Our adoption fee is non-negotiable. The adoption fee is due on the day of adoption in the form of a check, Zelle or cash. We no longer accept PayPal due to their high fees & charges but if the potential adopter wants to pay them we will accept PayPal. Look at this face, it’s haunting to think he almost lost his life. Jericho the easiest & nicest boy you will ever meet was in a death camp of a scary shelter in CA. How he ended up there, we will never know? The dreaded kill list was emailed out with many dogs with deadlines on them. Meaning, a rescue needs to save them or they will be euthanized. He had zero public interest & was not even listed anywhere on social media. He was in the shelter for months. We rescued this beautiful big boy & 4 other sweet souls out of kill shelters in CA on that very same day who desperately needed help that day or they were all going to be euthanized because no one wanted them. That day was 1 very sad & joyous day all at the same time. Because we knew so many others did not make it out. Without our amazing foster mum, this would not of happened. Jericho who is now looking own forever home & who will never give up on him again & dump him & love him just as his foster family & we do. Jericho was bought back to WA state from CA where he can’t wait to find him his loving forever home. Thank goodness this boy is so forgiving for what humans have done to him. He is the nicest boy you will have the pleasure of meeting. Jericho has experienced going to doggy daycare to socialize him with other dogs with countless breeds & does well. The absolute insanity to think this beautiful boy ended up in one of the highest county kill shelters in CA is soul destroying. Jericho is such a big sweetheart. Such a happy & so loving soul & yet such a peaceful soul. Jericho just wants to be loved. Disturbing to think no one wanted him & he was ready to die. The level of absolute madness here is so deeply sad for many of these beautiful souls out of CA kill shelters. He loves everyone he meets & enjoys being cuddled to & given love. That’s when he is standing still. He would be the type of boy who would like to experience many adventures. But that being said he is a very calm, sweet boy. He will also just sit or lay with you also. Wherever you are, that’s where he wants to be. Jericho needs to be watched when in the kitchen as he can counter surf if he finds something on the counter he wants to eat. Jericho is a great eater & not shy about his food & treats. He has put on a whopping 13.4 lbs since being in the rescue. Jericho’s new forever home must have a fully fenced secured backyard for his safety. He enjoys going out into the backyard & running around playing with his friends. Jericho has been great with his baths because he started having them the moment he was rescued with us so he is used to them. He is also really good with being brushed. He loves men & woman. Jericho loves a good car ride & gets so excited when you tell him he is going in the car. At first he wants to sit in your lap when you drive but once you tell him to get in the back, he listens to you & gets in the back & rides beautifully in the car & enjoys a good journey. He does still need continued work walking on his harness & leash & will like to try to pull you to where he wants to go to but will listen to you. He is a strong boy. We are looking for a forever home for Jericho where someone is home during the day or he can go with his people wherever possibly he can go with them & there must be another dog or dogs in the home for him to thrive. Jericho loves other dogs & needs another dog or dogs in the home to play with. This is mandatory for his new home. We are also looking for a crate free home for the lad only. He was left in a cage at the shelter until we rescued him. Jericho is looking for a forever home who will cherish him & love him as he should be loved & be patient with him. Jericho has been around many breeds of dogs all shapes & sizes & he is currently with other dogs & does well with them & enjoys their company. It’s mandatory for him to be in a home with playful dogs. A fenced backyard is also mandatory. Please do not apply saying your neighbors have a dog or family members or you will take him to places where there are other dogs. That will not work, another dog or dogs is mandatory. Jericho is roughly just 3 years old & 73.4 lbs & is perhaps a Siberian husky what he is mixed with we are not sure at all. He is male, neutered & we just got him a dental scale & polish & he had dental x-rays. He is microchipped, had a 4DX snap test, he is heart worm negative & up to date on his shots, including DHLPP, Bordatella, CIV, rabies & dewormed. We have spent far more on rescuing Jericho with all of his medical, dental, shots, transport fees, shelter pull fees, boarding fees etc that exceeds well over his adoption fees. Jericho not has been around cats since being in the rescue. But it’s always up to the new family to be responsible with their animals together. We have not had him around small children so we do not recommend small children nor cats & it’s always up to the family to be responsible with their children. We were not there when Jericho was conceived so we do not know who his parents were & it’s always up to the new potential family to look at the pictures & decide what they think his breed is. As with all of our rescues & Jericho friends he will need work on potty training & training, so this should be something the new family would be willing to work on & commit to. Please do not submit an application if you are not willing to commit to one of our rescues care for their whole life & that includes if they need training. Please do not email us asking is Jericho potty trained or available, nor do we ship dogs anywhere as we will not respond. We would never say anyone of our rescues are potty trained. Our rescues need homes where the people are understanding of their past & what they have been through & what they will need in their daily lives & not willing to give up on them & if they do need training in their new home will in fact take them to training & not just say they will when applying. Jericho has been through many traumas in his short time on this earth so when applying this needs to be kept in mind & for his care. Please only submit an application if you are truly interested in adopting Jericho & going through our process and have read his listing fully to the end & are wanting to adopt. If you are not responsive to our calls, emails or your references do not respond we will move on & remove your application from our system. You must be willing to go through our screening process which includes your references being checked, a phone interview & a virtual home visit due to covid & followed by a meet and greet & if it’s a good fit, up to our discretion. We will only be accepting applications for Jericho who understands his needs & that meet all the requirements for this spirited little lad. Once we find the right home for each little soul we work fast, within days so the dogs can go to their forever homes in quite a timely manner. We do not hold onto dogs for people as our goal is to save lives & please do not submit an application if you are not ready to adopt. We also cannot respond to every application unfortunately. Jericho has an adoption fee of $450 & is ready for his truly loving forever home & compassion & understanding of what he has been through.

Story
Hunter is an excellent dog for a high energy family. Unfortunately, due to recent medical complications, we are unable to give this playful boy the life he deserves. Hunter comes from Eastern Washington through the Seattle Humane Rescue Shelter in August 2024. His coat was terribly matted, so the vets shaved it, but it is growing back as thick as ever. With every passing day, he is more of a snuggly teddy bear. Hunter currently lives with a Great Dane and shows no dog aggression at the local dog parks. His favorite game is chase, and this is the only time he grumbles. Otherwise, Hunter is an extremely quiet husky. Hunter is food-motivated and as fast at learning new tricks as the owner is at being consistent in training them. Thank you for helping Hunter continue to live his best life.
