Story
Gladys is a 10-year-old beauty who’s the perfect mix of calm and cuddly! Her foster mom says she’s “the easiest foster I’ve ever had!” With her loving, gentle personality, Gladys spends her days lounging, soaking up belly rubs, cuddles, and kisses, and just being the sweetest companion you could ask for.Gladys is fully potty trained, rarely barks, and is wonderfully low-maintenance. She’s happy with gentle, easy walks but is just as content to relax at home with her favorite humans, ready to be your best snuggle buddy. A true people-lover, she’ll bring so much warmth and loyalty into her forever home. She’s great with kids and does well on her own when left alone. While Gladys is friendly with other dogs, she can be a little protective over her food, so she will need to be fed separately from other animals in the home or the only dog in the household. If you’re looking for a laid-back, affectionate companion who’s all about love, Gladys would love to be the calm and steady presence in your life! Come meet this wonderful girl – she might just be the perfect fit for you!The Seattle Animal Shelter is committed to reducing length of stay for all of our shelter pets! Some pets qualify for FREE or reduced adoption fees, please inquire with our Animal Care team to learn more.Pets are complex beings and prior to adoption, interested adopters will be counseled by a staff member to discuss the specific needs for each animal. Story
Bueller is looking for a foster to adopt home! See below on how you can apply to our foster to adopt program Bueller! Our fluffiest little puppy is growing fast and he can’t wait to play! Bueller has been attending puppy classes and is picking up play skills fast. He would love a full time play buddy to teach him all the best ways to chase, wrestle, and tug! He’s also great at self entertaining and recently discovered the joys of squeaky toys! He is a curious and outgoing little pup who likes to check out his world! He’s not an overly active dog; while he enjoys staying busy, he’s also somewhat of a snuggler and can keep himself entertained in his crate. When he is moving around, check out his adorable little prance! The way he walks will bring a smile to your face! Bueller has some vision impairment that makes it difficult for him to see certain things. Larger objects are easier to spot, but glass doors are tricky! Overall, he seems to get around pretty well, but will need guidance, support, and management in a new environment. Bueller is estimated to have been born on Oct 16, 2024 and weighs 22 lbs. He is an Akita/Alaskan Malamute mixed breed puppy who has a zest for life and adventure. He needs a home with another dog to help him continue proper socialization with dogs and humans. He has not lived with cats, but could do well with kitties after proper introductions! If you are interested in our foster to adopt program for Bueller, please fill out an adoption application at: https://www.forgottendogsrescue.com/adoption-application or send an email to adopt@forgottendogsrescue.com. Please note that Bueller is not eligible for immediate adoption and we will require your participation as a foster until Bueller is ready to be adopted in full. When ready to be adopted, Bueller’s adoption fee is $550 and he will be neutered, up to date on vaccines, and microchipped prior to the adoption being finalized. Per our rescue policy, unless specifically noted in a dog's bio, we will not consider applications from families with children under 5 years old.  When you foster with Forgotten Dogs, we supply all food, equipment, training support and vet care. Story
Quick Facts Name: Chance Age: 4 years Gender: Male Neutered: Yes Breed: Akita Mix Colour: Ivory (a mix of white and light brown) Weight: 23 kg My Story Hello there! I'm Chance, and I can't wait to tell you a little about myself. My journey began back in 2021 when I was rescued from a shelter in Gwangju. I was found in quite a tough situation, but now I'm ready for a fresh start with a loving family! My Social Side I'm a gentle soul with a curious heart. At first, I might take my time warming up to new people, but if you offer me a tasty treat, I promise to come around quickly! I love food, especially a variety of snacks, though I prefer to take my time enjoying them rather than gobbling everything at once. Once I feel comfortable, I love to be petted and might even show you my belly as a sign of trust. I enjoy being around kids, especially those under 13; they always bring a smile to my face! I also have a friendly nature when it comes to other dogs. I like to say hello and, once I'm comfortable, I'm happy to play! I'm still getting used to cats; I tend to get a bit excited when I see them, but I'm learning to stay calm. My Energy Level & Walks My energy level is just right. I enjoy my outdoor adventures and walks, but after a fun day, you can find me happily resting at home. I'm pretty good on a leash, although I sometimes get excited and might pull a little-just a pup being playful! Occasionally, my excitement gets the best of me, and I might bounce around happily, but I always make sure to wait for my walking buddies if they fall behind. More About Me I may not bark much, but when I do, it's usually to let you know if something interesting is happening around us. I've learned how to hop into the car by myself, though I prefer to be guided to the right spot first. One of my favorite things is toys-especially squeaky ones! I love to play and engage, and I know how to sit for a treat. It takes me a little time to show my playful side, but once we bond, you'll see my fun-loving spirit shine through! Even though I'm four years old, I still have a cute, puppy-like charm with my soft, droopy eyes. When it's mealtime for the humans, I like to sidle up and rest my face against their chair, patiently waiting for a little something to fall my way. Last Message Overall, I'm a sweet and adaptable pup, looking for a forever home where I can share my love and companionship. Are you ready to be my new friend? I promise to fill your life with joy and warmth! Videos https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=SRNg8NjTkRU&list=PLIsLTtIpe3Jx8XZNSUWLLB2zHPSNEBqOM ##2260907##

Click the button to download the adoption application. The application is a form-fillable pdf. Fill out the form, save it to your hard drive, then email back to sian@gingerspetrescue.org Hi!  My name is Xavier from Korea and I am a wonderful approximately 5 month old  male Akita - Jindo mix.  I weigh approximately 14 lbs. and so excited to find my new forever home.  I am very happy, affectionate, smart, and friendly.  I was saved from the Korean kill shelter where I was due to be euthanized. The activists came and saved me and I can't wait to come to America and find a family to love and care for me forever.  Approximately over a million dogs a year are slaughtered to be eaten.  I am so lucky to get a one-way ticket to Seattle to find my new family.  Take me on car rides, walks in the park, and I will become your best friend.  I get along well with people of all ages, gentle kids, and other dogs.  I will do best with a loving family that can give me lots of love, and affection!  On all overseas adoption, we highly recommend our pet rescue dog trainer who will help train your new pup.  My adoption fee of $1,295 will cover my spay/neuter, DA2PP shots, Rabies, Bordetella, Deworm, Heart Worm Test, Microchip, Boarding Fees, Health Certificate and airline transport cost from Korea to Seattle.   A GPS tracker or Apple Air Tag is required for all adopted dogs. You can bring your own when adopting or you can purchase an Air Tag from us   We cannot guarantee breed or age. The adoption fee is firm and helps save the life of another dog needing rescue and our other dogs in need of medical care.  Donations are always appreciated to help pay down our vet bills at Greenwood Vet.  Ginger's Pet Rescue is a non-profit 501C-3 organization.  The adoption fee is donated to the rescue and is tax deductible.   Please e-mail   admin@gingerspetrescue.org   for an adoption application. Story
Meet Joy🩷 Joy is the sweetest pup! She is gentle and adorable and steals everyone’s heart. * Toward People: Loves everyone regardless of age or gender! Is a charming sweetheart who wags her tail to greet even strangers. Keeps porking her head in to be petted because she loves to be caressed. Is so gentle that she gets startled and immediately takes a hand out that accidentally ends up in her mouth when she is playing. * Toward Dogs: Gets along well with her best friend Mansoo #AdogsMansoo, with whom she shares kennel. Greets other dogs nicely whom she encounters while out for walks. However, because she tends to play a bit rough, it is important to keep an eye on her when she meets other dogs in an off-leash area. * Separation Anxiety: Is unknown since she is staying in group at the Adogs Center. * Potty Training: Uses outdoor potty in the Cener. *Hygiene: Behaves well during baths. * Walks: Is adept at walking side by side with a walker, without pulling on the leash. 💗 * Car sickness: None. 💌Special Note💌 * Mastered commands like "sit" and "shake hands"!

Story
✅Currently located in South Korea✅️ 💟Available to fly to SEA💟 Meet Dooly🦕 (It's famous Korean dinosaur character name) * With People: Dooly is curious about people but shy and hesitant to approach. He gets scared by sudden movements, so patience and slow, gentle interactions are essential to building trust. * With Dogs: He coexists well with other dogs at the shelter, though he prefers to relax rather than actively play. * With Cats: Dooly has not yet been exposed to cats, so his behavior around them is unknown. * Separation Anxiety: It’s currently unclear if Dooly experiences separation anxiety as he resides in the shelter. Initial training may be needed if he transitions to a home environment. * Potty Training: Dooly is accustomed to outdoor pottying only. * Walking: He has had some leash training during his time at a dog school but will need a trusted handler and double leashing for gradual and safe walks. 💌Special Notes💌 * Dooly takes time to get comfortable with people and requires a patient, understanding environment to help him adapt.

Story
Jo-Jo (Jolene) is a great dog for someone that has time to give her . Husky Lab mix about 8 to 9 months old. We feel awful for having to find her a different home but with some really big schedule changes on our end we don’t have much time for her. She’s potty trained , neutered, vaccines up to date as well as a microchipped. She does really well with our 2 boys (3&4 yr old) never been aggressive with them or in general . She does really well with other dogs in our neighborhood. Unleashed she does well and understands our property lines . Again, we thought long and hard about this but we feel that she deserves to be with a family that will spend time with her more than we have to give right now . She’s a loving dog and deserves a good home.
