Story
Approximate DOB: 2/18/2024 Approximate Weight: 45 lbs Harlow bio after spending time with her and getting to know her a bit: Meet Harlow, a fun-loving, gorgeous and energetic girl who gets along with every person she meets. She's thriving in our care, learning new things, and doing great with the akita grooming process. After overcoming a tough past, Harlow needs a patient home to continue her growth. Having lived outdoors most of her life, she's still learning basic skills on how to be a dog, but she's smart cookie and picks things up quickly. Will you come meet her? She will need a slow intro with other dogs as she tends to get overstimulated quickly I'm a cute puppy still working on housetraining and crate training. I like to chew on everything, play, eat, and then sleep! As a puppy, I am required to go to training within 90 days of my adoption with a certified trainer. ** The vet noted a 3/6 Heart Murmur on examination** ********************************************************************* Visit our website for an application to adopt. https://www.olddominionhumanesociety.org/adoption-application What breed am I? Mixed mutt! ODHS does not breed label (unless there’s official paperwork), as studies show it is nearly impossible to tell the exact breed of each dog based off of their appearance. More "sought out breeds may have a higher adoption donation) Adoption donations are to be made via cash, or credit/debit card. There is a $5 fee to run cards. We do not accept checks for adoption fees. Please remember to bring a martingale collar and leash (non-retractable) with you the day of the adoption. Story
Zima is about 9 months old, he’s playful and curious- he is a good dog and is very water motivated. He knows sit, lay down, come, and wait and he does very well on a leash. He is eager to learn, we just do not have the time to spend with him and we feel he deserves an owner that can spend the time training him and help him get his energy out. He would do amazing if there was another dog in the home that is playful but it is not required if you have the time to spend with him. He is a little shy at first but he is friendly with all dogs and people as far as we’ve seen. He really is a good boy and very loyal.
