Story
You can fill out an adoption application online on our official website. Arrooo Aarooo Rrooo! That’s the sound that I make, as I don’t bark very often. My name is Aquarius Cato and I am sweet little Basenji mix. I was listed as an Akita mix when I was smaller by the shelter, but foster mom is pretty convinced I'm a Besenji mix! I am 8 months old and a little bit shy, a little bit outgoing and a whole lot of spunk. My full-grown weight should be around 30-35 lbs. If you haven’t heard of a Basenji before, then I suggest you head to Google because we are one of the most unique breeds, and in fact, have the closest DNA to a wolf of all domestic dogs. Of course, there is a chance I’m not a basenji or an Akita, a dna test is probably the best way to tell.   This is why my foster mom thinks this. Basenji’s are often called cats, they are high energy, can climb (not kidding) and make very unique sounds. Because I’m a mix I do bark on occasion but mostly you’ll find that I howl when I want something, when I need something, and when I wanna tell you something. Because of my vocal voice, apartment living is NOT for me. Oh and if I hear sirens, expect to hear me sing a beautiful song to them.   My foster mom says that I have excelled in potty training and she fully believes that in my forever home, I will also excel if you keep my day structured and continue crate training. Which I am already crate trained. I love to take naps in my crate, I sleep at night in my crate and I often take my bone in the crate if the doors is open and I’m already done playing.   I love to snuggle when I’m done playing and love toys and can chew bones for hours. I’ve only been on a few walks so far and my foster mom said I did pretty awesome for a puppy. I was a little scared, but I loved all the smells and I could see myself doing this multiple times every day. I’ve also had a pup cup and loved that and hope that I can find a forever family that will take me to get them when I’m a really good girl.   I currently live with two cats and get along well with them, I also have three doggy foster siblings and have met a handful of other dogs. Basenjis aren’t known to be the best socializers however I have done pretty well and once I get over howling at a new dog, I enjoy trying to play with them   Four words that describe me are intelligent, independent, vocal and energetic.   If you were looking for an active pup, who will be your best buddy. I’m your girl so please apply at https://bit.ly/RRAdoptionApplication Apply to meet me at https://bit.ly/RRAdoptionApplication Visit this organization's web site to see any additional information available about this pet.April 2, 2025, 4:23 pm

Story
This is my lovely Lennox. We got her as a puppy for as a wedding gift. She grew up with us in a big yard and always has had such energy. She got along well with my now 4 yr old boy. She's always been so sweet and I believe she is still a puppy at heart! The reason we cannot keep her is because we just don't have thr time that we used to. We have a special needs baby on oxygen and other complications and are dedicated to her 24/7. I'd just love for her to have a special and loving family and a big space for her to run freely!

Story
This cutie is Aspen. She is currently a month old and she is a husky mix! What matters most is that they are adorable and are one the MOST desperate in the entire US based on statistics for where this puppy is from. Shelters in this area are having to euthanize puppies. So, this puppy needs you! If you choose a puppy from this rescue, it saves her life as well as the life of another in its place. Meet Aspen here: https://youtu.be/z0Mgp1_pmNg?feature=shared Aspen is playful, sweet, curious, and cuddly. She loves to play and take lots of naps. Eat, sleep, play, repeat- such is puppy life! Aspen is still young so they will need a family that can commit to training, socialization and all the dedication puppyhood requires. Her new family will need to continue with potty and crate training and daily exercise. We require a commitment from adoptive families to crate train their new puppy. When old enough, they will be perfect to go on walks and hikes or show off around your neighborhood. You will be guaranteed to get lots of kisses in return from your new best friend! Application: https://adopt.animalsfirst.com/animal/62cc8e128b02916730334440/67eb0bc6516a20e3500fd938 Please email tim@threelittlepittiesrescue.org with any questions. We facilitate adoptions across the US through our own internal transport to ensure the quality of care. We travel to WA, UT, OR, ID, VA, PA, OH, NY, CT, VT and Canada (Canadian adopters will need to pick up in Bellingham, WA or Brattleboro, VT for the eastern Canadian border)! Local TX adopters must pick up in Friendswood, TX. Our pups travel in comfort with 24/7 care on our USDA licensed vehicles, including buses and cargo vans. You can join along on our private Facebook event page to follow their adventure, connecting you with other adopters and providing updates throughout their transport journey! You will get to meet your new pup over a video call before signing paperwork, creating a fun and personalized adoption experience! The adoption fee is $900 and includes all vetting (DAPP with booster, Bordetella, Rabies vaccine, multiple broad spectrum deworming treatments, spay/neuter, flea prevention, a 12 month heartworm preventative injectible, heartworm test and treatment if needed, a microchip with free lifetime registration, a high quality nylon Martingale collar, a health certificate deeming the pup healthy for travel, cost of transport*, and priceless years of love and loyal companionship! We have over 15,000 successful adoptions so far and have excellent Google Reviews: https://g.co/kgs/UQ5Pyai We care deeply about making the perfect match between dog and family for long term success. Our rescue has a 2 acre property in Texas where we assess every animal with trainers on staff, we modify behavior as needed, and create individualized behavior plans to help prepare dogs for their future families including crate training, potty training, leash walking, etc. Our fosters are able to attend group trainings and socialization play groups to keep dogs adoption-ready. Our on-site trainers support the positive growth of our dogs and we enjoy seeing their progress! Our commitment to comprehensive medical care sets us apart. We've received glowing feedback from veterinarians who commend our dedication to ensuring the health and well-being of every animal in our care with treatments that often go above and beyond. Our adoption fees reflect the extensive care and resources that go into each animal we save. The adoption fee is a donation to the mission and goes far beyond getting a fully vetted pet. The rescue’s hard costs alone for a healthy dog to go through our program typically range between $412 to $859, which includes boarding, food, medications, vaccines, and spay/neuter. For heartworm-positive dogs, hard costs are upwards of $1,120. Additionally, dogs requiring extended boarding, extra training, or extra medical care—such as dental work, vision care, or orthopedic care—can lead to expenses running into the thousands. Also, included in the fee are costs to cover transport up to the Pacific Northwest or East Coast. While adoption fees help cover part of these expenses, we want to emphasize that Three Little Pitties Rescue is not government funded. It doesn’t stop there! Our adopters also receive these SPECIAL PERKS: Extensive behavioral testing and information from trainers on our staff to ensure the perfect fit for your family Discounts on Embark DNA test kit- $30 off of Breed ID test & $50 off of Breed ID plus Health test 30 day trial of pet insurance with Trupanion A free private online dog training session with GoodPup, plus low pricing for future sessions 70% off of your first order of Fetch, a delicious PNW based fresh dog meatballs subscription Coupons for a fun visit to Petco 20% off of Dr. Cuddles pet first aid and hygiene solutions Discounted heartworm, flea prevention, and monthly dewormer Access to our exclusive FB Adopters page, where you can network for play dates, resources, and connect with other adopters that share their passion for their adopted pup! Did you know that the Greater Houston area faces some of the highest stray and overpopulation rates in the nation? We are a non profit charity. Our goal is simple— to reduce the homeless pet population through community outreach, free spay and neuter services, and by rescuing animals from the streets or overcrowded shelters where euthanasia due to lack of space is often the only option. The dog you've found online is not only lucky to be in our program, but also incredibly fortunate to have caught your eye. Thank you for considering adoption and for joining us in our mission! Story
Are you ready to meet your furever friend! Well let me introduce you to Skye! We believe Skye to be a Siberian Husky! She is bouncy, playful, and friendly. This girl is a certified track super star, we don’t know how the Olympics haven’t called her yet! She loves to zoom zoom zoom! We could stare at those pretty icy blue eyes all day long! Well, what are you waiting for? Watch Skye here! https://youtu.be/d0_wWfuYNUY?si=T_kAreS1Y3gaMPhL Skye loves treats, which will definitely come in handy with training! Skye currently walks on a harness during her daily walks, but she is learning her leash skills too! Because of her love of yummy delicious treats, we can see her picking up on things pretty quickly! She already knows how to sit, so we don’t think she is far off from learning other tricks and skills! Because Skye loves to run around and get all of that husky energy out, we think she would be the perfect fit for an active family. Right now, she lives with a toddler in her foster home, so we know she loves kiddos! She enjoys hanging out with him while he plays in his toy kitchen. She wants to know what he’s cooking up for her— she hopes it’s something yummy! Skye is the perfect family dog. We can see her going on hikes, long walks, playing in the backyard, and really anywhere the wind takes her. Speaking of yards, this gal definitely needs one, so a home over an apartment would be better for her! Skye could really be the perfect adventure buddy for those looking. Is that you?
