Rrrrruffff! I'm Kya! I'm a happy and smiley girl! I love people and I'm a very sweet girl. I can be a tiny bit anxious but with time I come out of my shell pretty easily! I'm a cattle dog mix, and I have some white, brown and black in my coat! I'm quite beautiful, and I smile often! I'm dog friendly, I currently go out with two other large female foster sisters and a foster brother! At first, I try to work and will to herd everyone. That's my job, so that's what I do! But,, I play and jump around once I know my duties have been completed! I'm potty and crate trained! My foster Mom lets me out in the yard (fenced in), and I get to play with others and do my business. When I'm all done, I go straight to my crate, where I'm fed and given water! I do like to play in the water too, sometimes I just stand in it. I'm a great adventure partner too, I love adventures! The only adventures I go on right now are to Home Depot, Marshall's, and my favorite...the drive thru at Starbucks! I get to get a pup cup every time! This beautiful lady is Kumi, an American Akita, between 6-8 years old. After spending the last four months with foster parents (who immediately fell in love with her) she is a happy, healthy girl with lots of love and energy to spare. She does have a few patches where her coat is still filling in resulting from malnutrition issues. Kumi’s favorite things include being outside (playing, running or just basking in the sun), car rides and rope toys (she is a champ at tug of war). Kumi is a very loving dog. She is a little skeptical of public places and doesn’t want to do much with strangers. Fortunately, you’re only a stranger until you walk into her home and then you are her BEST friend! Kumi knows basic commands and is eager to show them to you . . . if you have a treat. Proper dog introductions are a must for Kumi. She can be a little grumpy with other dogs. She gets along well with dog savvy cats. Sometimes she gets excited and will chase them but has never hurt them. She has not been tested around kids. Kumi’s new family will need to make sure she gets help with leash and obedience training. While Kumi is a very good girl, she can be very stubborn and would prefer to do things her way and not listen to the two-legged members of the pack. She really doesn’t like to be left alone and will break out of kennels, so long hours alone every day may be a problem. She would benefit from a home where someone in the family works part time or works from home. Kumi is a special girl who is willing to be your buddy on walks and hikes, play with you until she tires you out, and cuddle up next to you on the couch in the evening. She will require consistency and some additional training, but trust us, she is more than worth it. Kumi has been spayed, is current on vaccinations, has tested negative for heartworm, and has been microchipped. Odin is a sweet, protective boy who loves to play and be with his inner circle of humans. We have too many visitors coming in and out of our home each day due to the fact that we run multiple businesses from home. He is very protective of his family, has been around young children his whole life. He does well outside, especially during the colder months. He is protective when strangers are around. He is very eager to please, and follows commands when there is positive reinforcement. He must be in a fully fenced in yard, he is very smart, loves to be with his people, but is ok being left home alone as well.

Momo is about 1 year old and 65lbs of sweet cuddles. She can be a little shy when meeting new people, but once she knows you all she wants is to follow you around and ask for belly rubs. She loves walks and having access to a yard and a window to people watch from. She's relatively quite with an occasional bark here and there. She loves meeting other dogs in the neighborhood and doesn't growl or bark at them, even when they bark at her. Momo is happiest with a couple walks a day and would probably get along in most household types as long as her people are active, kind and gentle. She loves some evening cuddle time, but watch out for her paws! She's working on keeping them to herself, but she's been quick to learn and with some training she'll come to understand that she does not in fact have hands.Dogs are not placed on a first-come, first-serve basis.
