Story
Dakota is a handsome name, kind of a "rugged" kind of name, right?? I am kind of a REFINED RUGGED kind of boy! For instance, I am a busy boy, I love playing and running with my doggy friends, however, I can lay at your feet very sweetly to beg for your attention. I am kind of like a "reverse" planter as well. I mean, you plant it and i will un-plant it for you :D I won't do it often, just when I want your attention and I am outside alone. So see?? you have great control over that urge! So I am a food and toy lover too, I eat out of a slow feeder bowl because wolfing down my food is not an option! I am learning all things toys and am actually learning how to bring the ball BACK after you throw it. I am a smart and very sweet boy. I do absolutely have a prey drive so no kitties for small furry mammals around me please. I am fully potty trained and great in a crate. Now i just need you to adopt me to complete my circle of life. Local adoption fee is $200 (in TX) Out of state adoption fee is $450 (includes transport to your area)

Story
Keno is a timed dog. He’s shy with everything. He hates baths and the vet lol. He is crate trained. Loud noises do tent to scare him. He’s good with female dogs I haven’t had him around to many males due to the fact my sisters male kept attacking him. He’s loving and silly. He definitely has his own personality. He needs someone with a decent size backyard since that’s where he likes to spend a lot of his time. He like to patrol the border of the fence. I personally prefer him to be with an active male or woman with either no kids or teenage kids that understand dogs. It would be best if you have experience with this breed. They are very stubborn as I learned.

Story
Skipjack is a delightful and stunning 2-year-old Akita mix currently in a foster home. Skipjack loves adventure and he would thrive with an active person or family. In his home there aren't children, but they do visit! He does well with an 8 and 13 year old but may be a little too bouncy for small children. Initially shy, Skipjack reveals his goofy and affectionate nature once he warms up. He loves belly rubs and can’t get enough of the water, often splashing around in the dog pool. He does have a bit of a prey drive and might get distracted by rabbits or squirrels on walks, but he generally walks well on a leash. He would also prefer a home without cats. Skipjack is a sweetheart, responding well to direction and training, but he will need a committed owner to continue his training. He hasn’t had any accidents in his designated space and he is crate trained. He is generally well behaved, he is working on his excitement when meeting new people! Skipjack is a lovable, high-energy dog who would be a great companion for an active individual or family willing to continue his training and provide him with the attention he needs. You must be over 21 and a home owner to adopt me. Please visit www.pittiesandpurrs.org to fill out an application. For further information contact adoptpitties@gmail.com

Story
Meet Ms. Luna She is honestly amazing! She is super sweet and love able! She is 100% house and crate trained! Soayed, UTD on vaccinations and her monthly preventatives. While you would expect a husky to be super hyper she is not! She would absolutely benefit from another dog as a friend. No cats or small dogs as she likes to chase. She walks great on a leash and really enjoys walks. She does talk when the mood hits her but not a scream! She absolutely melts when she gets pets! She is looking for her furever home and that may be with you! Did I mention she’s a heartworm survivor! She is about 2yo and has a new lease on life! Help her make it the best!
