Dakota is a handsome name, kind of a "rugged" kind of name, right?? I am kind of a REFINED RUGGED kind of boy! NOT!! I am a snuggle bug looking for tummy scratches....I willl MELT for one!! Here is what one of our amazing fosters have to say about Dakota...."Super freaking sweet, loves loves belly rubs, is very strong when you walk him but listens well. VERY treat motivated and knows sit down paw and i just taught him roll over yesterday but its a work in progress 😝. Super playful, he will pounce around you and then roll over for belly rubs and absolutely melts for the belly rubs and kisses" I love playing and running with my doggy friends, however, I can lay at your feet very sweetly to beg for your attention. I am kind of like a "reverse" planter as well. I mean, you plant it and i will un-plant it for you :D I won't do it often, just when I want your attention and I am outside alone. So see?? you have great control over that urge! So I am a food and toy lover too, I eat out of a slow feeder bowl because wolfing down my food is not an option! I am learning all things toys and am actually learning how to bring the ball BACK after you throw it. I am a smart and very sweet boy. I do absolutely have a prey drive so no kitties for small furry mammals around me please. I am fully potty trained and great in a crate. Now i just need you to adopt me to complete my circle of life. Now, before you go all "Lion King" on me, just know that I will be your bestest buddy forever!! I am two VERY loyal breeds and once I know you are my family, you will have my unending love :) Local adoption fee is $200 (in TX) Out of state adoption fee is $450 (includes transport to your area)

Very friendly and absolutely gorgeous at 2 years old, Sierra loves to run and play and is looking for an active family to have adventures with. Sier4a seems to do well with other dogs and has lived with her canine pal, Barron, who is also at the shelter seeking a forever home. This beautiful girl is a complete package of fun and love and smarts that will prove to be a great companion for people who thrive on the unique characteristics of her breed mix. Story
This handsome guy is such a sweet boy outside of his kennel. He’s affectionate and calm and enjoys being pet. He enjoys his time out with the volunteers so much that he really does not like to go back to his kennel. Hector was introduced to several dogs at the kennel and he was such a good sport. He played with them and was gentle and respectful. He was very tolerant of the young pups who were jumping all over him and he enjoyed the calmer ones who just wanted calm play with him. He’s got this really laid back personality. He will just sit or lay next to you for hours getting pets and getting under coat brushed out. He’s really a super chill beautiful soul. He’s desperately hoping to find a way out of here soon! Hector was introduced to cats and was indifferent. We would need to officially test him with any dogs in the home and introduce him slowly to any cats in the house. We can’t say enough good things about Hector!

With my ginger-red coat I am the talk of the town, however, I can only be adopted in my town because I am kind of an anxious kind of fellow. I love other dogs and must be adopted with another calm/confident dog please. My new owners need to be patient and great at building confidence in me, as I never was loved on as a pup so I am still nervous with new people and in new situations. Haku means "pure" in Japanese! I was named for my pure, passionate and overwhelming love for everyone around me! I came to the rescue when my dad was stationed in Japan and heartbroken that he couldn't take me with him. I've missed him so much ever since! Everyday I do the things I did with him with other dogs so I can try and remember what it felt like to be with him! But it's just not the same. So, I'm hoping a new family can come scoop me up and show me what it feels like to be a part of a home and family again! I am good with other dogs, I love playing chase with them or tugging on chew toys. I'll need a happy and active home so that my life will be full of love and fun! I am a bit anxious and nervous around new people, and people in general! Slow introductions, a safe space I can retreat to like a crate and not forcing me into spaces with tons of people will help me be myself all the time! Haku can only be adopted in the local or TX area. Local adoption only, in San Antonio or TX area, $200.
