She was surrendered after her owner passed away, and while she was deeply loved, the change in circumstances made it difficult for her to stay in the home.Despite her husky roots, Nyla is well-mannered and eager to please. She walks nicely on leash, is fully potty trained, and is very food motivated. Nyla knows several commands including sit, down, paw, other paw, and speak, and she enjoys playing fetch — even bringing the ball back! She handled restraint well during her veterinary workup. Nyla is an active dog who will still need both physical and mental enrichment to stay happy and fulfilled. While she’s more laid-back than most huskies, breed experience is required so her adopter understands and can meet the needs of a working breed. My wife adopted Legend from a shelter in 2019, he was originally surrendered at the age of 2 due to him escaping the yard, which we haven’t experienced ourselves. He grew up in a rough breeder household that was too small. He broke his paw at a young age and due to the overcrowding and injury that is why he is not dog friendly. He doesn’t do well either our infant which is the reason for our surrender. He’s overall a good and very quiet husky that needs some love and a place where he can roam the house. He likes to cuddle on the bed and loves his squeaky pig toy. If you don’t have any children or other pets he a a fine addition to the family.
