Story
Meet Zeke! He is a young male brown/white Akita around 8-12 months of age. He was removed from a situation where he did not receive much attention, so Zeke will require someone with experience with this breed to foster or adopt him. Zeke has been great with people and previously lived with a medium-sized poodle. He'd like to meet his potential canine siblings before heading home. He's a loving boy and wants to please. He needs an adult-only home with people who have the time and patience to teach him the world isn't so scary. If you would like to meet Zeke please call or text The Pet Connection at 913-671-7387. Zeke is in the KC metro, but transport to the right home might be available.

The force is strong with this one! Skywalker is a stunning 6-year-old Akita who found himself at the shelter as a stray. While his past remains a mystery, one thing is certain—this boy has so much love to give. Right now, Skywalker is feeling a little overwhelmed in the shelter environment, but we know that with patience, kindness, and a loving home, his true personality will shine brighter than the stars. He’s looking for a family who will help him feel safe and show him what it means to be truly loved. Are you ready to embark on an adventure with Skywalker by your side? He’s ready to find his forever home in a galaxy not so far away!Skywalker says he`s ready to be the main man in your life! This dashing gent would prefer to be the only male dog in the home but is open to meeting any lovely lady doggie siblings who might be waiting for him.Skywalker is neutered, microchipped, up to date on his vaccinations, and ready for his forever home!

High energy and he loves to go on walks, he doesn’t get along with other dogs. He’s very playful. It’s almost like a giant cat. I would suggest a House with no kids.

Story
Juneau is a purebred Malamute. Inherent to the breed, female Malamutes try to establish alpha dominance of the pack. Juneau has been to training to correct these behaviors and has been a great playmate with Bullet, the Silver Lab. It is possible that some behavior correction may be necessary introducing Juneau to a family with an existing dog. She is a lover of people and has never been aggressive to kids or people, but Juneau will need a new owner that understands the Malamute breed and can identify/correct dominance behavior. Juneau is my baby and I sorely hate to part ways with her, but unfortunately my recent circumstances will not allow me to keep her. I would dearly love to see both of our fur babies be adopted together, as they adore one another and are glued at the hip. It will be a big adjustment for both of them to be separated. We do have a cat that Juneau has been around since we first brought into the family. She gets along with our cat, but unsure about other cat
