She may be shy at first, but her love for other dogs shines through. When she`s with canine friends, Indy shows a more confident and playful side, making it clear that she would benefit from having another confident dog in the home to help guide her as she continues to grow.Indy is still working on building trust with people and isn’t quite ready to come up for pets just yet. However, she’s making progress by learning to take treats from a gentle hand and slowly discovering that humans can be a source of comfort and kindness.With time, patience, and the companionship of a confident dog, Indy has the potential to blossom into a wonderful companion. She needs a quiet, understanding home that will give her the space and encouragement to come out of her shell at her own pace.Before being rescued, many of our dogs have had limited socialization, so they may need a bit of time to adjust to life as a family pet. Older kids are often a great fit for our dogs, and homes with younger children will be considered based on each dog`s individual needs. Skills like house training and leash walking may take a little extra patience and practice. However, with understanding and a gentle hand, most of these dogs adapt quite quickly.
