Story
Arizona is a 4.5 year old Akita Mix that was transferred to rescue from a local shelter with her newborn puppies. After raising her puppies, who have all been adopted, Arizona has settled into a happy life and routine with her foster and is a friendly, healthy adult dog. She's been with us for more than seven months, which is surprising given that she is housebroken and gets along with people, other dogs, and even cats. We believe that prior to rescue, Arizona spent a lot of time outside and can sometimes be more comfortable lounging in the backyard than in the house. She's also become very attached to her foster dad (as Akitas tend to do) and will require an adoptive household that understands there will be a transition period before she is comfortable with her new family, surroundings, and routine. Arizona can present with separation anxiety, which includes pacing and verbalizing her displeasure, however with time and consistency, these behaviors have been eliminated in her foster home. We'd love to see Arizona thrive in a home that knows the breed and is truly committed to the time and energy required to help a rescue dog settle into a new and better life. Whether you work from home, are active and like to take your canine pals along, or own property where she can explore, we'd encourage you to consider making Arizona a member of your family. Arizona is spayed, fully vaccinated, heartworm tested negative, microchipped with registration, wormed, and has had entropion correction surgery on her left eye. Her adoption fee is $350.

Story
Kita is a very good dog. She listens. She sits, she shakes your hand she loves to be rubbed on her belly. She loves cuddles and baby talked to. She does have some anxiety when alone. She was always with another dog and he passed away so ever since we noticed she was sad and had anxiety. We moved from a house we lived in since the 90s so it’s new for her to be in an apartment. So she has been having to come for the ride if I leave because she cries and have anxiety when left alone. But I can’t take her everywhere with me so it has been hard. Other than that she is a very good dog she loves to play and she’s a great listener. We love her so much and don’t want to give her away but we also aren’t able to keep her so we would want her to go to a loving family who can give her a good life and we would also still like to be in her life if possible.

Story
Say hello to Cumin, a sweet husky mix with a courageous heart and calm demeanor. At three years young, this former sled dog has embraced a life of adventure but is ready to find a comfy forever home with a new human best friend. Though living indoors is a little confusing to him, Cumin is showing a lot of courage and willingness to learn the ropes of cozy living among loving humans. This gentle giant is incredibly kind and sweet with all humans and dogs. He loves an outdoor adventure but is always down to just chill and hang out, too. Navigating his new world with a thoughtful pace, Cumin seeks a patient and loving human to show him the joys of pet life. A spacious, fenced yard would be a dream come true for this guy. Cumin's genial nature makes him a friend to all humans and canine companions alike, though he holds a special fondness for fellow large dogs, finding small ones perplexing for now. Trust may not come immediately for Cumin, but once earned, he’ll be your loyal lifelong companion. His sled-pulling days have left him with incredible strength, so Cumin is searching for an athletic companion who’s dedicated to keeping him under control while he learns leash manners. Cumin’s favorite treat is a slice of cheese, which will help fast-track your way into his heart and encourage his loving personality to really blossom! For the right home, Cumin will be more than just a pet; he’ll be a lifelong companion. If you're a patient soul looking for a gentle, attentive partner, Cumin promises to be your furever friend through every season of life. ##1974536##

Story
Baxter is an absolutely gorgeous 3 year old purebred Siberian Husky. He is always smiling and loves being around or a part of whatever you are doing. Walks are a big treat for him; he gets really excited after you put his harness on and runs to sit by the front door, ready to go. Baxter was a big hit at doggy daycare and fast to make new friends! He does great on leash and is very responsive to a "leave it" or "no" command when he sees a bunny or other critter he wants to say hi to. He has been most recently been homed with 2 cats and after a few curious encounters, everyone got along great with no issues. He is house trained/potty trained and knows basic commands, and has the most gentle bite when taking treats. He does great in a pen or crate at night or for short periods during the day and has not had issues with separation anxiety. He does love a good sock or two, so having some stuffies for him to play with helps! He is not your average husky - very relaxed and not chatty at all. He gets the occasional zoomies and bursts of energy, and he loves to get his wiggles out with playing fetch in the yard or daily walks in the neighborhood and park. He is healthy and up-to-date on all vaccinations, and he would be a wonderful adventure buddy for hikes, runs, and patio hangs! He loves to cuddle, share the couch for tv time, and be loved on. He's great with grooming and getting bathed. He LOVES the water hose, which is a good way to create exercise and get a good laugh yourself. (think pogo stick jumping to grab water spraying) Baxter is a friendly and outgoing dog with lots of playful energy. He does well with most commands, and would benefit from a family that can continue working on basic obedience and recall training. He is a very quick learner and picked up "place" in no time! Baxter thrives with an active/outdoorsy lifestyle that also offers a calm home environment where he can spend lots of time with his humans and feel relaxed. He is best suited for a child-free home or one without small children, preferably with another dog to help continue showing him the ropes.  We got Baxter's DNA test and he is: 56% Siberian Husky, 18% Alaskan Malamute, 12% American Staffordshire terrier, 7% Argentine Pila, 7% Shiloh Shepherd ##2079811##
