Story
Hello! My name is Oso, which means “bear” in Spanish—but don’t let the name fool you! I’m a gentle giant with a heart full of love. I was saved just three hours before my time was up at the county shelter, and even though I’m a senior, I have so much life and love left to give! I’m all about people—I love them, like really, really love them. After spending my whole life outdoors, I’m absolutely thrilled by the comfort of indoor air conditioning and a doggy door that lets me wander into the yard whenever I want. Life is good! One of my favorite things is carrying around my stuffed toys, especially the small ones—they make me so happy! I also love chasing a ball and am the best boy when it’s time for a bath. Treats are my weakness, especially chicken tacos (yum!). I’m looking for a home where I can be the only dog because I just want to soak up all the love for myself. I’m easygoing, never bark, and my tail wiggles with joy when I meet new friends. I’m dreaming of a forever home where I can give lots of kisses, enjoy scratchies, and just be your loyal companion for the rest of my days. If you can offer me a place to call home, please reach out to my foster mom, Jenn, at 602-710-4143. I can’t wait to meet you! ❤️ I’m a courtesy post for Valley Dogs Rescue.

Story
I first met Roku in Dallas, Texas. He is a pure breed of Japanese Akita Inu. He was only three-month-old and just a little tiny pup. His birthday is Aug. 22, 2022. He is shy and sensitive but always super sweet and kind to me. Now he is about nine months old, and he never barked at me even once, never ran away once when I recall him. But when he is with me, when he's growing up now, I finally realize that maybe i am not the best owner for him, he deserves a better home and a happy doggy life with someone who can really spend a lot of time with him. There are some changes happening in my life and I will travel more frequently in the near future. It's really hard to make the decision but I hope the best for him and that he can be truly happy. The adoption fee there is setting a bar for selecting people who is financially stable and is serious about giving him a new home. But it's always negotiable, just reach out to me if you are an experienced dog owner. Thanks.

Story
Yoshi is a 12 year old female Akita. Her birthday is 11/29/12 100% bred and I have the pedigree. She is about 95 lbs with a lot of energy. She does not chew on furniture or shoes - only toys. She loves humans, but not pets. All of these photos are within the last 4 months. She is very easy to take care of. She has clean vaccination results as of 9/13/22 and it needs to be redone on 9/13/25. Her vaccinations were administered by Banfield. The reason I need to find a new home for her is that my girlfriend is allergic, but we plan to live together by 4/1/25 ideally.

These pups are in Fountain Hills, Arizona too!

Story
Hello To All who View, This is Nova and let me start with if I never had a baby I would not be rehoming her. Nova is the absolute sweetest girl I have ever met, so friendly, playful and extremely goofy but since having a baby I do not have the time to care for her like I once was able to, I work Full Time and all my extra time goes to the baby. Nova has definitely felt the shift in attention and has become Sad because she can not join in play with the baby since she is used to older kids (4+) and can get pretty rowdy. I do not think Nova would be a good fit for anyone who has a baby that is learning to walk/crawling. But if you have kids who are a bit older and begging for a dog she is perfect, she can run circles around them, play fetch, loves sprinklers, house broken, loves treats and walks. She does not get along with Female dogs likes Small Male Dogs. We do not go to dog parks. Reach out w Questions :) Medically- In the past 5 years The only serious Vet Visit was for her Spay.

Story
I adopted Xena from the county she was fixed and given all her shots and a complete check up. She was to keep my puppy company. I have a three-year-old great Pyrenees and the problem is is that she dominates him she’s eight years old and wants to be in the house and he’s very unhappy because he doesn’t fight back. It’s really tough because she’s incredibly smart. She wants to be the number one dog and sitting in somebody’s lap and loving somebody up all the time but I’ve had my dog since he was 12 weeks old and I just can’t put him in that kind of situation she had shots and she would be a wonderful dog for somebody.

Story
Winter is looking for his forever home. Phoenix, AZ Age 1.5 to 2 years old He was left in the back yard of a vacant home when I found him last July. I believe he is an Australian Shepard / Husky Mix (not a howler) Vaccinated, chipped, and neutered Loves to hike House trained Temperment - Mild tempered, well behaved, easy to train. Not food or toy aggressive. Does well with other dogs and cats. Kids - does great with kids, he is with kids ranging from 1 to 11 years old daily. When I rescued/fostered Winter I was an empty nester and had plenty of time to hike and play 7 days a week. My niece and nephew came to live with me, and without a yard living City Central he needs room to play and someone who has time for adventures.
