Story
Hello! My name is Oso, which means “bear” in Spanish—but don’t let the name fool you! I’m a gentle giant with a heart full of love. I was saved just three hours before my time was up at the county shelter, and even though I’m a senior, I have so much life and love left to give! I’m all about people—I love them, like really, really love them. After spending my whole life outdoors, I’m absolutely thrilled by the comfort of indoor air conditioning and a doggy door that lets me wander into the yard whenever I want. Life is good! One of my favorite things is carrying around my stuffed toys, especially the small ones—they make me so happy! I also love chasing a ball and am the best boy when it’s time for a bath. Treats are my weakness, especially chicken tacos (yum!). I’m looking for a home where I can be the only dog because I just want to soak up all the love for myself. I’m easygoing, never bark, and my tail wiggles with joy when I meet new friends. I’m dreaming of a forever home where I can give lots of kisses, enjoy scratchies, and just be your loyal companion for the rest of my days. If you can offer me a place to call home, please reach out to my foster mom, Jenn, at 602-710-4143. I can’t wait to meet you! ❤️ I’m a courtesy post for Valley Dogs Rescue.

Story
PLEASE NOTE: This dog is courtesy posted for another individual or Rescue. Different policies and fees may apply.  Meet Bear! This fluffy, cuddly sweetheart has been waiting for his forever home for over two years after being abandoned at a boarding facility in April 2022. Bear is as loving and loyal as they come—his tail is always wagging, and he thrives on being around his people. Bear is great on a leash, making him the perfect hiking or walking buddy. He loves car rides, especially feeling the wind in his face, and enjoys splashing in the water on warm days. Well-mannered in public, Bear adores pets and quality time with his family. While he’s non-reactive to other dogs on walks and hikes, he’ll need a proper introduction to any potential fur siblings, which the rescue will facilitate. Bear would do best in a home without kids or cats. This happy, soft, and affectionate boy is up to date on vaccines, neutered, and microchipped. After such a long wait, Bear is ready for a loving home where he can finally relax and enjoy life. Could that be with you? Story
Gene is a purebred American Akita we purchased about a year ago. She’s just over one year old and due to new work schedules we don’t have the time to tend to her needs. She hasn’t been around other dogs very often, but she has never bit any people. She doesn’t bark much and is potty trained. We are hoping to find a new great home for her.

These pups are in Chandler, Arizona too!

Story
Toast is a very loving dog, the moment you sit down he comes and lays his head on your lap to ask for pets. He's pretty laid back but loves to play. He enjoys going out for walks but is usually nervous around new dogs. He loves to play fetch with squeaky balls and tug of war with rope toys. His favorite treat is cherry tomatoes and he’ll catch them out of the air. He is house trained and crate trained and knows sit, stay, leave it and a little bit of lay down. He needs good exercise and stimulations so he’d make a great hiking companion or family dog (having kids to play with). He’s surprisingly quiet for a husky mix and rarely barks. He definitely needs a home with a yard and someone who is willing to take him out for long/2 or more walks a day and play times. He grew up around another dog so he'd probably do best if he had a companion he could play with during the day. If you’re interested please reach out. We’re trying to get him a new home by new years at the latest

Story
I adopted Carolina from a local shelter in May of this year. She’s sweet and very good natured. Great with children, my son loves her she gets excited to see him. Rarely ever barks at anything, I’ve never heard her growl. I’m not exactly sure what she’s mixed with aside from Husky by the way. I’m in and out a lot and can’t give her the attention she should have. It’s not fair to her. I did a solid saving her, doing her another trying to find a better place for her. She walks well on a leash! She does shed a bit so washing her and brushing is a must. She’s not destructive, I don’t even crate her really but when you do, she will protest…but when she’s in there she won’t complain!

Story
MEET  KAYA! Kaya is a 2-year-old Husky mix who’s just beginning to discover how good life can be. After spending her early years isolated in a backyard with minimal interaction, she’s blossomed into a playful, curious, and affectionate companion who’s ready for adventure. Kaya loves walks and is always up for tagging along on a hike or outing. She’s goofy and full of personality — the kind of dog who will make you smile every day. While she’s still learning how to interact with other dogs, she may do well with a calm, well-socialized dog of similar size. However, she should not live with cats. She’s house trained, spayed, and knows some basic commands. Kaya is still gaining confidence with new people and situations, so she’ll do best in a home that offers structure, patience, and plenty of positive reinforcement. Kaya Would Thrive In a Home With: • An active lifestyle and lots of outdoor time • A secure, fenced yard (6 ft required) • No cats, and only one other calm dog (if any) • A confident, experienced adopter who can guide her continued progress • A calm environment to help her continue building trust Kaya is spayed, vaccinated, microchipped, and ready to find her people.
