She lives in a foster home with 2 other dogs and a cat and does great! Aspen loves her outside time, especially in the cooler weather. She loves to sit outside and soak up the sun! She makes great use of the doggy door! She also loves the comforts of home, a nice nap on the couch is a great afternoon past time.  This beautiful girl would be a great floof to add to any family! Story
You can fill out an adoption application online on our official website. What happens when a shelter has a policy that says, if you've been at the shelter for 90 days you're time is up?? For Savannah it meant she was going to be euthanized. She had been labeled dog aggressive by the shelter and our pleas for an "only dog" home were not finding the right person to help her. An 11th hour eval showed a different girl than what we'd been told, not dog aggressive at all. Once pulled from the shelter and waiting for transport we were even happier to see an absolutely wonderful girl who loves other dogs, and cats! Savannah is about 2 years old, spayed and UTD on shots.  She loves people more than anything, she wants all the affection she can get! Savannah is good with other dogs, and cats. She is great on a leash and good in the car. Since being in her foster home in MT, she and GPRM's Albi have become very much attached and if at all possible, both rescues would love to see them adopted together. Both dogs are great at patrolling, not really experienced LGD's but are great at keeping anything off the property that you don't want there!Visit this organization's web site to see any additional information available about this pet.December 17, 2024, 12:56 pm

Story
You can fill out an adoption application online on our official website.Sokka came to our rescue when he was taken to the shelter after being found left in an apartment alone for 10 days. In spite of that he was incredibly sweet, loved everyone he met and was happy to play with some doggy friends in his foster home. When his foster family had additional family with their own dogs moving into their home, it was time for Sokka to find a new foster home. His new foster mom quickly fell for him and there was talk of foster failing. Things changed for Sokka, who had been renamed Owen, when he protected his mom from a dog attack, he took his job seriously and kept her safe but by doing so it affected him, mentally, and he hasn't been the same boy since. Owen's foster mom now feels he'd do better in a different home so we are now looking for a very special place for him. The boy who used to love doggy friends now seems to be very scared and unsure. The boy who never met a person he didn't instantly love, is now very cautious and fearful. So we are looking for a quiet, low key home for Owen where he can learn to trust, feel safe again. Have a backyard to soak up the sun, or the snow. Also a very committed foster or adopter who will work consistently with our behaviorist to help Owen through the trauma he experienced. This is no small ask we know. But he deserves nothing less! Timber is a dream to walk, so good on a leash.  Another wonderful dog waiting in his foster home, he'd sure love to find his forever family! Story
You can fill out an adoption application online on our official website. This sweet big boy is Boulder, another floof whose history is unknown because he was a stray. Boulder has been with his foster for a couple of months now and he's ready to find his forever home.  This sweet guy is neutered and UTD on shots. He's good with submissive dogs and great with cats. Boulder's family will need to understand a couple of things about him. He doesn't want to sit. He will stand patiently or lie down, but sitting is a no. So we don't make him do that and his new family can't either! He also isn't going to be someone's walking buddy, leashes seem to cause him a lot of stress. So maybe a large backyard and another chill doggo to play with will be his exercise! He loves to stand and have head scratches and be told what a good boy he is. He likes to back up everywhere he goes, lol. He is an absolute sweetheart and he needs a wonderful laid back retirement home! Boulder is being fostered in Idaho.Visit this organization's web site to see any additional information available about this pet.November 6, 2024, 5:38 pm

Story
You can fill out an adoption application online on our official website. We see so many dogs being given away for free on FB, Toby was one of them. Fortunately for him we were able to find a foster to take him. He was scheduled to be neutered just 2 days after getting to his foster home but once there it was found that he was too sick to have any kind of surgery. Toby was full of worms and parasites! Poor guy.  He's spent the last couple of weeks on meds getting healthy, will be getting his shots and once healthy enough will be neutered and ready for his forever home.  This stunning blue eyed boy is a love! Great with other dogs and adores all people. Just no chickens for this floof! ;) His foster mom has been working with him on his walks, up until now he hasn't had much experience with that. He's also afraid of loud noises. That includes loud kiddos, squeaker toys, and other loud barking dogs. He's adjusting well to his foster home though and could be he just needs a few weeks to settle in. We'll know more soon so check back!Visit this organization's web site to see any additional information available about this pet.November 12, 2024, 4:10 pm

Story
Holy lover-girl! Do not be fooled by her size, this is a lap-dog/puppy/angel baby. She is soft and snuggly like a teddy bear so when she climbs up to sit on your lap you will be absolutely wrapped in warm goodness. Don’t worry, she knows she is a bigger girl so she has learned that only about half of her fits in the average lap so she will either give you the front half-paws and head, or the tail-end like she is sitting on Santas lap. If you only have a few minutes to fall in love- watch her video but I can sum it up- Lacey is loyal, cuddly, innocent and silly, and a friend to all from dogs to cats and all the people. Lacey is about 2 years old, 75 lbs, and is just giving golden-good devotion. We cannot guarantee breed or age given she is a rescue but we believe she is an Anatolian/ Lab mix. Like so many breed mixes similar to her, Lacey creates a strong bond with her people and falls hard. She is the most loyal and loving pup and anyone who lands in her loving radar will never wonder if she is 100% heart and soul, their #1 girl. There is nothing better than the devoted, powerful love of a dog and Lacey comes with that and so much more. Lacey has been fortunate to wait our her days until adoption in a loving foster home where they praise her outgoing, silly, and loving ways. They have shared that she is both house and crate trained, has joined them for Fancy Footwork classes where she has learned all the best leash manners, and knows a few basic commands, while always being ready to learn more. She is treat motivated so training is an enjoyable process and she is a quick learner. It was mentioned before that Lacey is a friend to all and she really showed us how true that is when she was introduced to dogs- not only was she fast friends with all the dogs she met, she tried hard to make a friend out of the donkey next door. If the fence wasn’t there I think her play bows and barks would have gotten him bouncing around with her too. Lacey doesn’t need another dog to be fulfilled, remember she loves her people, but she would enjoy other dogs and would do great with a dog of similar energy. We would describe her energy level as medium with very brief moments of medium/high, that amounts to about 30 seconds of chase or a tumbling wrestle with a buddy. The beauty is she comes back to baseline easily so a high-energy, non-stop friend would overwhelm her- she knows the power of chilling out. She currently resides with a crew of other pups and does great. She especially likes to play with her basset hound foster brother- his ears are fun to pull on! Lacey loves to chase and does play with some toys- bring on anything squeaky or stuffies! Get this gal some fun new chew toys to welcome her to the family and she will be on cloud 9! During Lacey's cat test she did great! She does not live with any cats but has met several on different occasions and has showed the same respectful curiosity. She is unbothered if they give her a swat and understands that means they want a little space. Whether they swat or not, she checks them out and then walks off. A dog savvy cat would be a great fit for her- they can set the rules and she will follow them. Lacey does not live with kids but when introduced to them she was great. Given her size and love for close, cuddly love older kids 10+ would be best for her. Lacey is a bit like a kid herself and would enjoy having a little friend to run around with so knowing her size wont intimidate or knock over a little one is key. Let’s talk dream home- Lacey dreams of a home with space for zoomies and rounds of chase in the yard. We can only imagine how happy she would be to live the farm-dog life. A playful, confident, tag-along girl who looks real good in a truck, its the stuff of dreams for more than just Lacey. You will have to do two things though, get the car door- she is a lady after all, and maybe give her a little boost. Now that is do-able and well worth it for her. It happens, but Lacey has truly stolen the hearts of everyone here and we cannot wait for you to know why! We've received glowing feedback from veterinarians who commend our dedication to ensuring the health and well-being of every animal in our care with treatments that often go above and beyond. Our adoption fees reflect the extensive care and resources that go into each animal we save. The adoption fee is a donation to the mission and goes far beyond getting a fully vetted pet.  The rescue’s hard costs alone (excluding transport) for a healthy dog to go through our program typically range between $412 to $859, which includes boarding, food, medications, vaccines, and spay/neuter. For heartworm-positive dogs, hard costs are upwards of $1,368. Additionally, dogs requiring extended boarding, extra training, or extra medical care—such as dental work, vision care, or orthopedic care—can lead to expenses running into the thousands. Also, included in the adoption fee are costs to cover transport up to the Pacific Northwest or East Coast. Transport is a significant additional expense to the rescue.  While adoption fees help cover part of these expenses, we want to emphasize that the rescue does not receive government funding and must fundraise to offset the remaining expense balance which ranges $100-1,000++ per animal on these direct costs. It doesn’t stop there! Our adopters also receive these SPECIAL PERKS: Extensive behavioral testing and information from trainers on our staff to ensure the perfect fit for your family  Discounts on Embark DNA test kit- $30 off of Breed ID test & $50 off of Breed ID plus Health test 30 day trial of pet insurance with Trupanion A free private online dog training session with GoodPup, plus low pricing for future sessions  70% off of your first order of Fetch, a delicious PNW based fresh dog meatballs subscription Coupons for a fun visit to Petco 20% off of Dr. Cuddles pet first aid and hygiene solutions Discounted heartworm, flea prevention, and monthly dewormer  Access to our exclusive FB Adopters page, where you can network for play dates, resources, and connect with other adopters that share their passion for their adopted pup!
