Story
Finnick was rescued by the 110 fwy, he was roaming with his sibling which didn’t make it. He was so tiny as in the last picture. After researching he seems to be a certain breed and will be on the short side. He is very shy still but so sweet once he gets comfortable. He is a cute little chunky boy and will be a great addition to your family.

Story
PLEASE READ ALL OF THE FOLLOWING INFORMATION BELOW. IT WILL ANSWER ALL YOUR QUESTIONS. If you still have questions after, we are happy to respond through email. It is a long read and a long adoption process. Please understand we are ensuring that our babies go to great homes and we don't know you personally (yet). Understand that this is an adoption of a beautiful little soul that deserves the absolute best life. The average lifespan of a cat is 13 to 20 years. Some cats even live into their thirties, although this is far less common. So don't let that discourage you from adopting an adult cat! BASIL was born in a foster's home. Her family came from a horrible situation. There were 10 cats saved. 6 of them were pregnant (one of them being BASIL's mom). They were all living in a yard where they were occasionally allowed in a garage in Moreno Valley, California. Most of the cats were all named after SUPER HEREOS, except BASIL's mom and aunt (ELENORE and MOLLY MOO). It seemed fitting since they were all basically surviving and being fed scrapes, fighting other cats and dogs. They were living off a dangerous street where people were actually poisoning the cats. So BASIL has never known the street life. She has lived a nice pampered life. The two sister moms raised their kittens together so we really don't know if ELENORE or MOLLY MOO is her mom. Our beautiful girl has not lost her love. We got her adopted at 6 months and her family returned her after a year and half because they were "supposably" allergic to her. We were so disappointed that she had to have her heart broken like that. Meet BASIL, a young feline filled with sweetness and curiosity. Her friendly nature makes her the perfect companion for anyone seeking a loyal friend. BASIL's independence means she is comfortable exploring her surroundings, but she always returns for a cuddle or a playful game. Her goofy antics and gentle demeanor will bring laughter and calm to your days. With her smart, energetic spirit, BASIL is always ready for a new adventure. Her funny, playful side will keep you entertained, while her cuddly, loyal personality will make you feel loved. BASIL is more than just a shelter cat; she is a companion, a friend, and a source of endless joy. Adopt BASIL and experience the unique bond of a human-feline friendship. Her love and loyalty are waiting for you. BASIL is DOMESTIC SHORT HAIR / ABYSSINIAN MIX. She is about 3 years and 2 months old. She is good with cats and dogs. She has lived with young children. BASIL is currently at a foster home in Indio, California. ADOPTION PROCESS: 1. Go to Workinwhiskers.com (Click on ADOPT) 2. Fill Out Online Form 3. Submit Online Application 4. Some cats even live into their thirties, although this is far less common. So don't let that discourage you from adopting an adult cat! Rescue mama has had 3 live into their 20's. One was 8 weeks old. KOALA was saved by an independent rescuer back in late 2021. She was young. Well fast forward to 1 year ago, the lady was killed by a drunk driver. We were asked to help with her rescues and to our dismay, her house was a horrific hoarding case. We pulled 55 cats that were still alive. Our rescue took 26 of those cats into out rescue. KOALA is the eight one to be ready for adoption. And still with us after a year. KOALA can be shy at first. She gets comfortable very quick and is curious about everything. She can get startled, but will come back and investigate. She gets very excited about her can food. He is a very good assistant and loves to help you do your chores (well she will chase the broom and mop). Meet KOALA, a young feline filled with a vibrant spirit and an independent streak. Her sweetness is as infectious as her playful antics, making every moment with her a joy. She's curious and smart, always on the hunt for a new adventure. Her goofy, gentle nature will have you chuckling, while her mellow demeanor ensures she's never too much to handle. She'll flop on her side to catch your attention, her tail curling in delight. KOALA is loyal and brave, her energy boundless. She's a cuddly companion, ready to offer comfort or join in playtime. This brave, energetic cat is waiting for a forever home where her unique personality can shine. Adopt KOALA and let her fill your life with laughter, love, and endless amusement. One was 8 weeks old. DAMEON and his 4 siblings (BAELON - VISERYS - AEMOND - AEGON) were turned in to the shelter as strays. But by their mannerisms and as healthy as they were, we believe they were kittens born to a domestic mama cat. These guys are the absolute sweetest kittens ever! Meet DAMEON, a young cat with a personality that's as vibrant as a rainbow. He's sweet and friendly, always ready to greet you with a purr. His independent streak shines through his curiosity, leading him on goofy adventures that will leave you laughing. DAMEON's intelligence and playfulness make every day a joy. He's energetic, always ready for a game of chase-the-laser. But don't be fooled, he loves his cuddle time too. Loyal to a fault, DAMEON can be a bit picky with his feline friends, preferring to be your one and only. His outgoing nature makes him the perfect companion for any home. Adopt DAMEON, not just because he will bring laughter and love into your life, but because every cat deserves a forever home where they are cherished. DAMEON is a DOMESTIC SHORT HAIR / ABYSSINIAN-TABBY MIX. He is over 1 year and 9 months. He is with dogs and Guinea pigs. He has never been around young children but has been with pre-teens. Story
This very distinguished gent is just a great guy. He has a very chill personality, except when it comes to food. He LOVES to eat. If he had his way, he would dine ten times a day. He was surrendered to our rescue by a couple who could no longer care for him. His “special need” is that he is deaf. He is sweet, loves to be in a lap, playful, gets along with our other fosters and is very self confident. In short, a normal cat with a terrific personality. It took him less than a week to decide he was ready for our other fosters to meet him. He hopped out, made the rounds to say hi and integrated himself as if he has lived with us his whole life. If you would like to meet Stanley, visit our website at southerncountiesrescue.org and complete an adoption questionnaire. He would make an awesome addition to any family. Personality traits Friendly, Affectionate, Gentle, Playful, Smart, Curious, Dignified

Story
Yeti is a quiet kitty who wants to be loved. He was rescued of the street a few months ago looking very sad even with his pretty blue eyes. It was obvious someone had abandoned him and he did not know how to survive outside. Yeti gets along great with other friendly cats. If they are aggressive to him he hides. He is also good with people but I think small noisy playful children may be too much. Yeti deserves a home with someone who will love him and never abandon him. He can be adopted to be buddies to your cat, with one of his foster cat friends or as your only buddy if you are home a lot. Yeti has been a sweet natured kitty from day one. The vet estimates him to be around 2 years old. Now he is waiting for you, all vetted - healthy, neutered, tested negative for FeLV/FIV, fully vaccinated, dewormed, flea free and microchipped. Please complete the adoption questionnaire at this link to arrange a meeting and to learn more about Yeti - https://fs20.formsite.com/SouthernCountiesRescue/Application/index.html Personality traits Friendly, Smart, Brave, Curious, Quiet, Quiet, Funny
