They have come a long way in the last week and a half since being rescued. They are learning what it's like to be a dog and have human love and touch. They are both fearful still from their pasts, but how they've grown so quickly, I have no doubt they will have a wonderful life. They are starting to come out of their shells. Both girls love being warm and sleeping on comfy blankets. They are snugglers and enjoy being around their safe people. They are very playful and enjoy being around other dogs. Taffy is the sweetest most gentle dog you can find. She is a small girl at 10 lbs, and comes up to you and puts her paws on your legs to ask for ear scratches. She loves her crate and seeks it out to rest in throughout the day, and sleeps quietly in it all night long. She was not house trained when she came to rescue, but she is doing very well here in her foster home. Not 100% but close! She gets along with dog, cats, and rabbits, men, women, and gentle children. She was a former puppy mill Momma, so she can be a little skittish if you approach fast, but she clearly loves people and seeks their attention. She is not a barker. With a little patience and training, we believe she can become fully housebroken.When it comes to leash 🦮 training, she has only been on a leash once but showed no resistance, which is a promising sign that she will adapt well to regular walks in her fur-ever neighborhood. Khloe is crate trained and has a peaceful demeanor when sleeping 😴 in her crate at night. During the day, she willingly goes into her crate when needed, demonstrating her adaptability.
