Story
Let's be honest! Haven't you ever wanted to Sage your house to clear it of negative energy & bring love & happiness into your home? Of course you have & I have your perfect solution! Meet Sage, a 7 yr old, 7.5 lb Female Yorkie! Although living through torment the last 7 yrs of her life as a mill breeder, Sage is ready to clear her soul from the only bad vibes she has ever known to becoming your loving and gentle companion. Although timid and shy, Sage is learning human touch and trust! To hold her and feel the fear shiver out of her body and turn to a sense of peace and calm is a feeling only a true dog owner can appreciate and melt for. Sage is so new to the free world, she is in her early stages of basic dog training. She is good about being in her crate, but also loves freedom. She is well behaved, has shown no aggression, loves other dogs, and is super duper curious about humans and is realizing we are not here to hurt her, but to love her, and you can see her eye's get brighter each day. Would recommend Sage be in a home with an adult(s). Sage will be fully vaccinated, microchipped, and spayed. An adoption fee of $500 is required. She is currently being fostered in Lindenhurst IL. Please contact jilljclark20@gmail.com, cell 847-772-2098 or pls fill out an application at https://www.cognitoforms.com/TinyPawsSmallDogRescue1/AdoptionApplication

Story
Bella came to us on her fifth birthday a little shy and confused but that is to be expected. She came from a loving home, and she is here through no fault of her own, and her mommy was very sad to give her up. Only here less than a day, she has already settled in and follows her foster mom around. Because of her shyness, a fenced yard would be ideal but she is ot a runner. Bella is housetrained and pad trained if the weather is bad or outside is not accessible. Bella is current with all of her vaccines, spayed and microchipped and seems to be in very good health. She was a little too cared for however and is overweight at 13 pounds. She loves to eat so controlling that and daily walks will take care of the problem. Bella would be a great only dog but would do well with another companion dog. It is unknown how she would be with cats and other small animals, but I suspect she would do fine when tested. Bella prefers to sleep in a different room from the other dogs but that is only because there are so many here. She wants to be with her person so that would change with a smaller animal family. Bella is being fostered in Silver Lake Wisconsin and her adoption fee is $500. If you would like more information or would like to meet this little darling, contact Carol at 262-539-5262 or Carolpfeiffershihtzu@yahoo.com.

Story
Meet Benji! Age: Senior Weight: 20 pounds (give or take. Who still weighs themselves?) Good with: Dogs, cats, kids (the perfect teifecta!) Houstrained: yes (but do best on a schedule and should be let out every 4-5 hours to avoid accidents). Crate trained: I don't need one because I just snooze while you're away! Special needs: blind, but get around great and diabetic, but easy peasy lemon squeezy! Plus my medicine is only about $25 a month from Wal-Mart! I'm a pretty easy-going, fun-loving little dude. I might not see with my eyes, but given just a little adjustment period, I see everything in all the other ways! I can jump up on the couch for a nap, or to sit with my humans, and I love being outside exploring the fenced yard in my foster home, but i also know how to walk on a leash for some great sniffaris. I love car rides, too! Foster mom says I'm the easiest diabetic dog she's ever had, and I don't even need special food, I just eat the kibble like everyone else here, and I do wonderful with it. I hope you can see past my special needs and see that I can be just like any other pup! *Benji is being fostered in Edgar, WI. Albert's Dog Lounge is a specialty rescue focusing primarily on senior and special needs dogs. About Me: Names:  Gail Kim, Nitro Girl, Lady Blossom, Starla Saxton (and more) Breed (or best guess): Maltese, Poodle, Shih Tzu type mixes Approximate Age: 3-6 yrs Gender: F Approximate Weight: around 10 lb Adoption Fee: $495 for 1 or adopt a pair for $850 Requirements: patience to train for leash walking, another dog is helpful Why In Rescue: Owner passed away Profile:  The Wrestler Pack is a group of young dogs from 3-6 whose owner passed away.  They were left in poor grooming condition and had fleas.  They have now been clipped, bathed, treated for fleas, and updated their vet care.  They have been started on vaccines, deworming, flea/tick/heartworm preventative.  Prior to adoption they will be spayed/neutered, heartworm tested negative, rabies vaccinated, microchipped and passed a veterinary exam.  The have also received dentals if needed. They are all friendly dogs but seem to have never walked on a leash.  They may have spent much of their time outside, so we don't know about their housetraining.  They do want to be with other dogs and get along well with each other, so may have separation anxiety if there isn't another dog in the home.  (Don't have another dog, think about adopting two if you have the time, space, and finances.  There is a reduced adoption fee for adopting a pair.)  We don't know if they have been exposed to children or to cats.  The little ones who have gone into foster homes are doing very well! If interested in meeting/adopting one of these dogs, please fill out the pre-adoption application, and we will have you come in to meet the various dogs so you can find one (or two) that have the personality you are looking for.  We do put the needs of the dog's first, so it is nothing personal if we determine a particular dog isn't suitable for your specific home and living situation. If interested in adoption, the first step is filling out the pre-adoption application at http://www.bichonrescues.com/pre-adoption-form-dog  If link isn't clickable, please copy/paste or visit http://www.bichonrescues.com.  Please note, filling out inquiry forms on Petfinder or Adoptapet and/or their application forms does not constitute an application for one of our dogs.  Priority in responding to inquires and applications is always to the applications filled out on our website, time constraints limit the number of other inquires we can reply to. We do our best to evaluate the dogs while they are with us, but they sometimes act different in the shelter environment than they do in a home.  Many times we do not know the actual breed/mix or age of the dog, in that case we use our best guess as to breed and age.   We are located in Mukwonago, WI.  Adopters must come to us, we do not ship our dogs.  Please do not apply for a dog until you are ready to adopt.  Once an application is approved you will be notified by email to make an appointment to meet the dog.  All dogs are seen by appointment only. The adoption fee through Bichon and Little Buddies Rescue is $495 for most adults and up to $650 for puppies which includes Wi State Sales Tax.  Included in this fee is your new companion who will be spayed/neutered, have a current Certificate of Veterinary Inspection (as required by state law), current on age appropriate vaccinations, heartworm tested (if old enough) and started on preventative, microchipped, and given a general wormer.  Other medical needs will also have been taken care of, such as dentals and treating ear infections.  To assist you and your new pet in adjusting to life together, you may chose to take an 8 week age appropriate obedience training course at For Pet's Sake Dog Training in Mukwonago, WI for $75 (up to $230 value).  You may opt to take Puppy Kindergarten, Adult Beginners, or Small Dogs Big Hearts.  You must register for the class within 90 days of adoption for the reduced fee.  For more information on the classes visit www.forpetssake.cc  More important information: ***We are a Wisconsin based rescue and do not ship our pets.  If you are considering adoption you must be willing to drive to meet and adopt the pet, as well as bring the pet back to us if the adoption doesn't work.  We adopt primarily in WI and IL, but will consider applicants in MN, IA, and MI.*** ***Please do not set up an appointment to meet the animals until you are ready to take your pet home.  If the meeting results in a match, you can often take the dog/cat home the same day or within a couple days if the medical care hasn't been completed.  We are not able to hold pets for adopters beyond this time.  Thanks for understanding.*** ***While we hope all of our adoptions lead to permanent homes for the animals we place, sometimes things just don't work out.  We do have a 30 day trial period.  For the first 30 days, if you or Bichon and Little Buddies decide that the adoption isn't a good match for either the humans or the pet, the adoption fee will be refunded minus $75 within 30 days of the return of the dog.  Bichon and Little Buddies also requires adopters to return the pet to us at any time that they are unable or unwilling to care for the animal anymore.*** ***We do not show dogs without an appointment.  The first step in adoption is filling out the pre-adoption application at http://www.bichonrescues.com/pre-adoption-form-dog  Please do not call/email until AFTER you have filled out an application.*** Bichon and Little Buddies is a State Licensed Rescue # 268555-DS November 5, 2024, 8:05 pm
