Katie is almost 7 years old, having spent her first 6 years in a puppy mill. She will require a human with patience and gentleness as sudden noises put her on alert. A home far away from fireworks would be best. She is fostered in a home with both dogs and cats & gets along with all.Earning her trust is not an immediate event, but once you do, she will want to be by your side nearly all the time. Her favorite place to eat is next to her human. As well as sleeping in the same bed.`Outside` is becoming more familiar and knows doing her business outside makes her human happy. Kimmie 5/17/20 Jerzee 3/1/20 Both of these girls are puppy mill survivors. They are female yorkies, both around 7-8 lbs. These girls are seriously the sweetest babies. They have come a long way in the last week and a half since being rescued. They are learning what it's like to be a dog and have human love and touch. They are both fearful still from their pasts, but how they've grown so quickly, I have no doubt they will have a wonderful life. They are starting to come out of their shells. Both girls love being warm and sleeping on comfy blankets. They are snugglers and enjoy being around their safe people. They are very playful and enjoy being around other dogs. Both will be fully vetted and spayed before adopted. They are ready for their FURever home and are looking for their Mommy or Daddy. They are working on their potty training. Taffy is the sweetest most gentle dog you can find. She is a small girl at 10 lbs, and comes up to you and puts her paws on your legs to ask for ear scratches. She loves her crate and seeks it out to rest in throughout the day, and sleeps quietly in it all night long. She was not house trained when she came to rescue, but she is doing very well here in her foster home. Not 100% but close! She gets along with dog, cats, and rabbits, men, women, and gentle children. She was a former puppy mill Momma, so she can be a little skittish if you approach fast, but she clearly loves people and seeks their attention. She is not a barker. Meet Benji! Age: Senior Weight: 20 pounds (give or take. Who still weighs themselves?) Good with: Dogs, cats, kids (the perfect teifecta!) Houstrained: yes (but do best on a schedule and should be let out every 4-5 hours to avoid accidents). Crate trained: I don't need one because I just snooze while you're away! Special needs: blind, but get around great and diabetic, but easy peasy lemon squeezy! Plus my medicine is only about $25 a month from Wal-Mart! I'm a pretty easy-going, fun-loving little dude. I might not see with my eyes, but given just a little adjustment period, I see everything in all the other ways! I can jump up on the couch for a nap, or to sit with my humans, and I love being outside exploring the fenced yard in my foster home, but i also know how to walk on a leash for some great sniffaris. I love car rides, too! Foster mom says I'm the easiest diabetic dog she's ever had, and I don't even need special food, I just eat the kibble like everyone else here, and I do wonderful with it. I hope you can see past my special needs and see that I can be just like any other pup! *Benji is being fostered in Edgar, WI.
