Story
My name is Handsome and I have earned my name very nicely, or so my foster mom tells me!  I am a Yorkie mix that is just a tad on the larger side of Regular Yorkies.  I weigh 23 pounds but I am very young and full of energy and zest for.  life at just 1-2 years of age.  I came as a stray that a couple picked up out in the country and they could not keep me.  They already had dogs of their own and they found this nice rescue group to take me in and get me groomed (I was very matted) and then to neuter me and fully vet me from the ground up.  The groomer even mentioned to the lady who brought me in to be groomed, that I was a very sweet boy.  I really do try to show my appreciation to all the people involved with taking care of me, just how much I appreciate what they are doing for me.  Iam very good with all the other foster dogs in my home right now.  My foster mom says a fenced yard is a MUST and I really need daily exercise and maybe another dog to play with.  I love to play with toys, other dogs and I love to bat my hazel colored eyes at your to try and get special treats and favors.  My eyes seem to get a lot of compliments from all the women I meet.  So on the other side of things, I am crate trained, but not housebroken yet.  I haven’t been in training long enough for that.  I walk nicely on a leash which is important and I will learn the housebreaking rules if I am the ONLY dog that needs to be worked with.  I think my foster mom has a lot on her plate to really focus on me for that.  They say I am a “catch” and that I won’t last long on the adoption site.   If you are even slightly interested, you best better write to Critter Cavalry Rescue right now at ccrnewengland@gmail.com and raise your hand to get their attention!   I am in Tennessee right now and I can ride up to the northeastern states on the transport van any weekend.  PLEASE NOTE:  Our dogs are transported from Tennessee to meeting places in the states where we have posted.  Further information about us is given on our Adopt-A-Pet site.  The adoption fees vary and will be provided as well as noted on the application you receive.  Contact us at 615-661-5333 or ccrnewengland@gmail.comNovember 7, 2024, 10:11 pm

You can fill out an adoption application online on our official website.Paws Crossed Dog Rescue serves the Eastern Panhandle of WV and nearby areas.  Please read ADOPTION INFO on the left side of our website to learn about the adoption application process.   Lillian comes to us from southern WV.  Her previous guardian passed away.  Lillian's just ready for a relaxed, quiet, comfortable home, like she's ready for a retirement community!!!  We think she's around 6 years old, but could be younger or older...it's hard to tell.  She might be 5 and have lived a hard life thus far.  We're just not sure of her actual age. Lillian would do best in a home with another small breed canine sibling, as she loves to cuddle with other dogs. She does fine with other dogs, but we're not sure if she's cat friendly.  We recommend no small children, as she's an older gal who wants quiet and limited activities. She's fine with kids older than 10.  She's cautious around new people. She's not so much a runner, but could be difficult to catch if she got away.  Lillian is super sweet, loves to lick her human's hand, and is a very nice girl.  She's working on her house training skills, so be prepared to continue her path to being fully house trained.  She's not totally comfortable on a leash, so that will also be part of her continuing education!   She'll require a fully fenced, secure yard.  No electric fencing, no underground fencing, and no doggy door.  These are not negotiable topics. You can fill out an adoption application online on our official website.Penny came to us from a breeder in southern West Virginia.  It has taken her a little time to get acclimated to living indoors. She is a very laid-back Yorkie And prefers to spend her days snuggled in a nice, comfy dog bed.   She absolutely has to have a fenced in yard and would prefer to have someone home during the day or with another dog. She has been working on her house, training skills and learning how to go in and out side to the back yard. Because she has lived most of her life outside. It pains us that this is the last resort for our 10 year old companion. Polo came into our life shortly after we married. He's been a ball of joy and burst of energy. We purchased Polo from a reputable breeder in Houston. Until recently, Polo has never had any major health issues. In July, while housed with our sitter, he was playing and jumped from the bed, dislocating his left hip. Since dislocation, and an attempt to put it back in place - it's been determined surgery would be the next step. Unfortunately, at this time, our family can't afford the surgery expense and believe it would be best to rehome Polo. Polo is fun loving, has loved our girls from infancy to now. Having him confined to a playpen isn't ideal and we would love to have the right family take him in and love him just as much as he'll love you!

Benny is a sweet little dog. He has had a rough road since he’s been in this little world. He was in a puppy mill and he has had some special issues since we have had him, but we feel that he is ready for his forever loving well deserved home we feel that he would be better with one person a lady preferred a quiet home, no other animals he is potty trained on puppy pads.
