Story
You can fill out an adoption application online on our official website.Hello Friends! My name is Bentley, I came to OBARR as a owner relinquish with my brother due to our onwer passing. I am the more dominant one out of the two and tend to want to boss my bigger sized brother around. Most people think we are a bonded pair but thats not the case and I would like to go to a home with another dog thats not my brother. Cats I have mixed emotions about and would like to bark at them or chase them. I do have a thing called 'Reverse sneezing' which is a conditon with my treachea and when I get too excited I sound like a pig trying to pull in air. According to Doc my trachea will slowly get worse with age. I am a mildly energetic, happy, and hansome guy that would love to be on your lap and giving you kisses. I have been Neutered, Current on vaccines, up to date on preventives, and 4DX combo tested which was all negative. If you are interested please visit our website: olivebranchwv.org to fill out an application and get approved as soon as possible! Hope to see you soon!Visit this organization's web site to see any additional information available about this pet.January 24, 2026, 9:31 am

Story
Raven is a very gentle, sensitive soul who is living in a world that feels far too big and frightening right now. She is extremely fearful and spends much of her time tucked away, choosing safety over interaction. While she does not want to be touched at this point, her fear comes from uncertainty, not aggression. Underneath it all, Raven is a sweet dog who simply doesn’t yet know how to feel safe. Raven's best fit: Raven is house trained, crate trained, and does well with other dogs and cats. She quietly observes her surroundings and takes comfort in predictability and routine. Though we believe there is a loving, affectionate dog waiting beneath her fear, right now Raven’s priority is feeling secure. Raven will need an exceptionally patient adopter who understands fearful dogs and can provide calm structure without pressure. She needs space to decompress, paired with gentle guidance so she doesn’t retreat further into fear. This balance will be critical to her progress. Because of her sensitivity, Raven should not live with children. She would do best in a quiet, adult home where expectations are minimal and trust is built slowly over time. Raven is currently awaiting surgery for an open hernia and a dental scheduled for March 17. She also receives daily eye medication for dry eyes, requires a grooming appointment, and must eat wet food for now. Her adoption will be foster-to-adopt while her medical care is completed.

Story
Please contact Pet (information@pethelpersinc.org) for more information about this pet.   Gutherie! Oh where do we start with this little guy? He is more of a “You can look but can’t touch” kinda guy! If you are looking for a cuddler or lap dog Guthrie is probably not your guy! He might also be Gremlin. He kinda looks like someone fed him after midnight. “This land is my land, and this land is my land!” That is Gutherie’s motto. Gutherie thinks he is a big herding dog. He feels the needs to herd all the other dogs in the home to keep them in line. Especially at dinner time! Gutherie lets you pet him. On his terms! If you try to pick him up and hold him, he acts like a screaming goat who found out the store was out of his favorite feed. We think he was not handled much. He came from a hoarder with many others. On a good note he is not a biter! Except that one time. Gutherie does not want long walks on the beach or shopping trips to Target. He would rather fly around your house like a 5lb feral pigeon. Gutherie loves other dogs and does not mind cats. He is not a fan of kids. We do not actually know that. However, we do not think he is a fan of humans all together. Is he house trained? Who really knows at this point. He does go outside. You would need a fenced yard or preferably a cement wall like they put around castles. Maybe even a moat. Otherwise, he will be running around the neighborhood telling people they’re his b!”@$! Gutherie is neutered, up to date on vaccines and microchipped. He did test positive for Lymes, but is being treated for it. Click the link to apply if we have sold you on this little dreamboat. https://www.pethelpersinc.org/adoption-application/   Adoption Fees: PUPPIES (under 1 year) $250.00,   Includes spay or neuter, rabies vaccine, age appropriate vaccines, heartworm/lyme test (if applicable), two rounds of dewormer, one round of flea medicine and microchip. KITTENS AND CATS $100.00,   Includes spay or neuter,  vaccine according to their age, two rounds of dewormer, one round of flea medication, felv/fiv test, and microchip. For more information on this animal email adoptionisforever@pethelpersinc.org. Pet Helpers is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit foster based volunteer rescue located in Fairmont, WV.  We do adopt out of state to approved applicants, if you are willing to drive to WV to pick up your pet.  We do not fly or use transport companies.  Our adoption fee is $150.00 for mixed breed puppies and adult dogs, $225.00 for full blooded puppies and adult dogs and $50.00 for cats and kittens.  Regardless if the animal is a mixed breed or full blooded they are spayed/neutered prior to adoption IF they are old enough.  If they are too young at the time of adoption, then it is your financial responsibility to spay/neuter the pet by the age of 6 months and you must provide proof for our files that it has been done.  All of our pets are checked by a vet, given the shots appropriate for their age and any other treatment deemed necessary by the vet.  All of our pets are adopted as indoor pets and are not be outdoors tied to a box 24/7.  The pet you are adopting has been living in a home with a foster family.  You are expected to take possession of the pet you are applying for within a few days of application approval.  This will enable us to accept another pet into that home.  Because we are a rescue, and believe that spaying and neutering is crucial in stopping the reproduction of unwanted puppies/kittens and massive amounts of animals dying daily in shelters across the country, we expect any animal already in your home to be spayed/neutered. If for any reason you are unable to keep the pet you have adopted you are required to return them to Pet Helpers, Inc.  They are not to be sold or given away.   Check us out on Facebook!!!!!!  We hope you will give us two paws up, like our page and share with your friends.  Pet Helpers, Inc.
