Story
Fifi came to us when her owner passed away.  She is quite overweight and is now on a responsible weight loss plan from our vet. A combo of lower calorie food and good exercise.   When Fifi first arrived at her foster home she was extremely anxious and spent most of her days hiding under the bed.  As the weeks have gone on, she has become much less anxious and more interested in being with her foster family and engaged in spending time in the living room, or wherever the humans are.   If she does become frightened or overwhelmed (which is much less often) she will go into the bedroom and find her safe space under the bed (but not often now) Fifi lives with a couple of other dogs and ignores them for the most part.  If they come near her treats or food she may growl or snark at them to tell them to buzz off and leave her goodies alone.  She could live with another dog, but needs to eat separately and if she has a treat, the other dogs will need to give her space.  Now that she has woven into daily life and knows the other dogs better, she doesn't snark or growl much anymore. She is not an overly demonstrative dog but does lay by the foster mom and enjoys being pet under the chin and behind her ears.  She does not seem comfortable getting cuddled or snuggled.  If people come to visit she barks at them and may follow them from behind and nip at their pant legs but will stop now when redirected and has never made contact or bitten anyone.  She loves going for walks and is easy to walk; it seems she was taken for walks with a previous owner and she has nice manners and good experience with harness and leash and waits for you to put it on.  When getting ready for walks she is most demonstrative.  She would be fine for an apartment as she's not a vocal dog - only barks when people first come into the house and is quiet again  Fifi is housetrained, good when left alone and not a big barker.  She snores while sleeping and sleeps on a large donut bed. She is a lovely little dog, a bit quirky but once she trusts you she will follow and wag her tail for you.  She was good at the vet and did not show any signs of aggression while being examined and not even when her anal glands had to be emptied She is approximately 5 years old and weighs 13 pounds which is overweight as noted.  No medical issues December 10, 2024, 10:53 am

🐶 Quick Facts! · Name: Hamduk · Age: 5 years old (approximate) · Gender: Male · Neutered: Yes · Breed: Mixed · Colour: White · Weight: 3.6kg 🌱With Humans🐕 Hamduk is a bit shy at first, but with some tasty treats🧁, he’ll quickly become your best friend! Once he feels comfortable, he enjoys being carried and will even roll over for belly rubs. He’s friendly and will greet new doggy friends, although he prefers gentle interactions rather than rough play. With a moderate energy level, Hamduk loves outdoor walks and is calm indoors. While he may pull a bit during walks, he generally follows his handler well. 🐶Behavior with Resources🐾 Hamduk does exhibit resource guarding behaviors towards other dogs and people. He will bark if he needs something and gives a “woof” when he sees strangers. 🏠Adjustment to New Environments🚽 In new environments, he may mark his territory initially, but he settles down quickly once he feels at home. 🥩Food Motivation🥕 He is very food motivated, so be sure to keep your hands out of sight when giving treats!😅 🗒️Special Notes✏️ Be aware that he has a habit of nipping at strangers’ ankles if they turn their backs😱. Supervision is essential to ensure he doesn’t receive too much attention from unfamiliar faces. 💌Last Message💌 Hamduk is looking for a loving home where he can feel secure and appreciated. If you think you can provide the right environment for him, please reach out!

Story
🐶 Quick Facts 🐾 • Name: Sasha • Age: 6 years old • Gender: Female • Neutered/Sprayed: Yes • Breed: Maltese Mix • Color: White • Weight: 3kg 🐕All About Me🐕 Hi there! I’m Sasha, a petite and loving six-year-old Maltese mix. With my delicate frame of just 3 kg (6.6 lbs) and a soft, snowy white coat, I’m as charming as they come. I’m on the lookout for a forever home where I can be the center of attention and shower my family with all the love and affection I have to give. 🐶Personality🐶 I’m a classic Maltese mix—sweet, affectionate, and brimming with charm. I adore people and won’t hesitate to snuggle up, whether you’re a familiar face or someone new. Pick me up for a cuddle, and I’ll happily oblige. I’m also wonderfully gentle and soft-spoken. While I may occasionally "talk," my voice is on the quieter side (perhaps due to a past vocal surgery). While I’ve never met children under 13, my gentle nature suggests I could adapt well with patient introductions. 🐶My Social Side❤️ I thrive on human attention and love being the focus of my family’s world. While I adore people, I’m less enthusiastic about other pets. I like to think of myself as a one-and-only pup, preferring to have my humans all to myself. My protective streak means I might try to assert myself with other pets, so I’m happiest as the sole furry family member. With this in mind, I’d do best in a home where I can be spoiled and loved as the only pet. My love for people knows no bounds—I’ll greet you with joy and shower you with affection at every opportunity! 🔋My Energy Level & Walks🚶 I have a moderate energy level, so I enjoy light playtime and a bit of outdoor exploration. Afterward, I’m more than happy to settle down and relax by your side, making me a great match for a cozy home environment. I’m not particularly fond of car rides, so I’ll need a little reassurance (and maybe a helping hand) to get in and out. Once we’re on the road, I’ll settle in as long as you’re nearby. While I’m playful and love to explore during walks, I won’t tug too hard on the leash, making our outings peaceful and enjoyable. 🏠My Behavior at Home🏠 I’m good with both indoor potty pads and outdoor routines, so I can adjust to your preferences. I’m also respectful with food—I don’t guard my meals from people or other pets. When I want something, I’ll politely let you know with gentle "requests," never causing a fuss. At home, I’ll be your shadow, following you around and basking in your company. While I can be independent when needed, I prefer to stick close to my humans and enjoy their presence. 💌Why I’m Looking for You💌 I’m a tender-hearted dog with a little bit of a sensitive side. While I’m brave and loving with people, I’d do best in a home where I don’t have to compete with other pets for attention. I’d flourish in a calm, loving environment where I can be doted on and spoiled like the princess I am. If you’re looking for a loyal, affectionate companion who will bring joy and devotion to your life, I might be the perfect match for you. Let’s meet soon—I can’t wait to be part of your family! 📺 Videos📺 https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=8T_QGfh_kTE&list=PLIsLTtIpe3JzOpoz9rXDbw0qh555qpmTO
