You can fill out an adoption application online on our official website. Thank you for stopping by to see me!  Please fill out an application to set up  a private meeting.    Hello there! I'm Blossom, the sweet Yorkie with an appetite for treats and a heart ready to bloom. Let me tell you a bit about myself, and I'm sure you'll see the potential for a beautiful friendship. But read carefully as I do have some behavioral issues and will need to go to a very special forever home. I'm a 9-pound bundle of sweetness, and my name says it all—Awesome Blossom! I'm house trained and have the whole crate routine down, although I've recently discovered the joy of comfy beds and couches. My love for treats knows no bounds, and my humans find my little dances and animated antics quite amusing. I'm a quiet companion who loves being your shadow. If food is involved, count me in! Napping in my cozy beds is a favorite pastime, and I hope my gentle snoring won't keep you up. I'm a good girl, but there's a unique quirk – I'm afraid of touch. However, I make up for it with adorable bumps on your hand and leg, especially if you're fixing my food. I love other dogs and currently share my space with two furry friends. Snuggling with them is one of my favorite activities. Did I mention how much I love to eat? Veggies and fruits are on my menu too, all part of staying healthy! It is very important to know that while some might see my fear of touch as a challenge, others believe in my potential to blossom, hence the name. I'm trying my best to trust and be part of a loving family. Due to my fear of touch, grooming requires a bit of extra attention. But don't worry, my foster mom can fill you in on the details. Invest your time with me, and I'm sure the rewards will be plentiful. I might have my quirks, but I'm your Blossom! Let's make memories together. *Please note that some of our dogs are obtained from shelters, surrendered to our care, or released from breeders.  Each animal's bio is based on our experience of the animal within our care, an educated guess based on physical characteristics, temperament and information shared. You can fill out an adoption application online on our official website. Thank you for stopping by to see me!  Please fill out an application to set up  a private meeting.    Hi there! My name is Challah, and I'm a seven-year-old Yorkie weighing in at a petite 8 pounds. Let me tell you a little about myself. I'm a shy, friendly and curious girl with lots of energy. I am learning every day that people can be trusted. When I'm at home, I enjoy being near my favorite humans and getting all the cuddles I can. I'm still figuring out what toys and treats are all about, but I'm sure I'll get the hang of it soon! I'm great dogs of all sizes. In fact, I require a doggy sibling in my new home to help me feel more secure, learn to get on a routine and help me learn to trust people. I'm respectful of cats too, and I always make sure to give them their space. While I'm not potty trained just yet, I'm very close, especially when kept on a good schedule. I'm also crate trained, so I have a cozy little space of my own. I do need a fenced yard because I'm not leash trained and can be a bit fearful of new things, making me a flight risk. For now, I only go outside in the safety of a fenced area. I want you to know that although I am timid, I am incredibly loving and enjoy being close to my humans as much as possible. If you're looking for a sweet, affectionate companion who just needs a bit of patience and love, I'm your girl! *Please note that some of our dogs are obtained from shelters, surrendered to our care, or released from breeders. Each animal's bio is based on our experience of the animal within our care, an educated guess based on physical characteristics, temperament and information shared. Each dog receives basic grooming when coming into rescue, but for some dogs they have not received grooming attention until recently and grooming may be required shortly after adoption. This will be at the adopter’s expense, so we encourage you to research the breed and be prepared for grooming expenses. Story
You can fill out an adoption application online on our official website. Thank you for stopping by to see me!  Please fill out an application to set up  a private meeting.    Hi, I’m Erin! I’m a 7-year-old Yorkie, and I weigh 9 pounds. I’m still learning what it means to be loved and cared for by humans, but I’m trying my best every day. I’m a little scared and shy, but I’ve found comfort in following the resident dog here. She’s helping me figure out how to live in a home. I like to copy what she does—it makes me feel safe. Sometimes I spin in circles when I’m feeling anxious, but I also do it when I’m excited for mealtime! I’ve learned to love cozy spots, like soft blankets, dog beds, or curling up in my foster mom’s lap. That’s probably my favorite place to be. I feel safest when I’m close to her, and I tend to follow her around the house. I do prefer women and get a little nervous around men or lots of noise. I’m still figuring out what toys are, but I’ve tried chewing on a bone a few times after watching my doggy friend do it. Potty training is something I’m working on, and I’m getting better with being in my crate. I only bark sometimes, mainly when I hear people moving around, but it doesn’t last long. I need a calm, loving home with another dog who can help me continue to learn. I’m still not comfortable walking on a leash, so a fenced yard is required. I know I’m a bit of a work in progress, but with patience and love, I’ll keep getting better every day. If you have a quiet home and another dog, I’d love to be a part of your family! Story
You can fill out an adoption application online on our official website. Thank you for stopping by to see me!  Please fill out an application to set up  a private meeting.  Hi, my name is Josh, and I’m a loving Yorkie who's 6 years old. I weigh around 5 pounds.  I have a little bit of a medical situation that requires some special care, but my foster family says I’m worth it. I have been diagnosed with protein-losing enteropathy (PLE), which means I need to follow a special veterinary prescription diet and eat 3-4 times a day. I also need B12 injections every 2-4 weeks, which I take like a champ. Because I don't have any teeth, I can only eat soft food (my prescription food is a yummy wet food), and I may need a face clean-up after each meal. I'll need to stay on my special diet and keep getting these injections for the rest of my life, but it doesn’t stop me from being the sweetest dog ever! So beyond my medical issues – I need you to know that I LOVE snuggling! My favorite thing in the world is to curl up on a heated blanket and snuggle with my foster parents and my little foster brother. I’m super attached to my foster mom and always want to be in her lap or in her arms! I am still learning how to be a dog, and I copy my foster brother's behavior (good and bad!). I get anxious when I’m left alone, so I need another small, mellow dog in the home for company. Another dog will give me confidence and learn to trust people. I get a little worried around new people. The commotion that comes with kids tends to scare me and I might nip. I really prefer grown up humans.  There are other dog things that I am working on. I don’t like being in a kennel. It scares me, and I will cry until I’m let out, so I’ll need help and patience learning about the crate. We are also working on leash training and potty training, but brrrrr, it is so cold outside, so I haven’t practiced much. I do require a fenced yard in my forever home since I am not leash trained. Despite my little quirks, I am the absolute best snuggler ever. I could snuggle all day long and be completely happy. I sleep a lot and, once I bond with you, I’ll be one of the most loyal companions you could ever ask for. If you have a calm, small dog and can give me the attention and care I need, I’d love to be your forever friend! You can fill out an adoption application online on our official website. Thank you for stopping by to see me!  Please fill out an application to set up  a private meeting.    DOB: 07/01/2012 Requires another dog in home: Yes  Okay with dogs of all sizes: Yes Okay with cats: Yes Okay with children under 12 years old: With supervision because his size Weight: 7.1 lbs Requires a fenced yard: No Note: dogs must always be leashed whenever outside of a contained area. Invisible/ underground fencing is not recommended for most rescue dogs. Hello! I’m Joey, a very handsome albeit nearly toothless senior Yorkie and foster mom says I’m “AWESOME!” Sure, I’m timid but I am the sweetest guy EVER and I’m really starting to come out of my shell. In fact, every day I allow foster mom to see more & more of my amazing personality! For example, she learned quickly that I love to nap on the couch, or a comfy bed; and I get SUPER excited at mealtime! Since I’m sans most of my teeth, I prefer soft things like liverwurst (hint, hint) but I can eat kibble if the pieces are very tiny! I also love to eat freeze dried treats because they melt in my mouth…YUM! I must say that partaking in treat time with my fur sibs has become quite fun & tasty! I am not a fan of loud noises or commotion and will bark at things I hear on TV, like babies crying, sirens, etc. I’m also afraid of squeaky toys. In fact, my body trembles and I hide if another dog is squeaking a toy. Additionally, I like to give a holler when I hear the garage door open because I know my family is home. Truth be told, I’ll bark until foster mom pokes her head in the door to say "hi" to me. However, sometimes she puts things like unloading the groceries before greeting me…I know right!?! Anyway, although I try diligently to be patient, sometimes I have no choice but to say “HEY! Mom, remember me…I’m here, and I should come before the groceries don’t ya think?!? I’m just sayin’!” Hee, hee!! Due to my small size, young kids are not a good fit for me, but I am good with cats and other small dogs like me and will need a doggie playmate at my new home and fenced yard that we can safely explore. I could use more leash practice and I bark when I’m in the kennel/crate. Thankfully, foster mom allows me to use an X-pen which gives me much more room…is she wonderful or what!?! As for potty training, I do great when on a very consistent schedule, but when I’ve gotta go, I’ve gotta go! Fortunately, the X-pen provides me enough space for a potty pad on one side and my bed on the other! Hopefully my new family is home with me; believe me, I don’t like having accidents but I’m little and I just can’t help it sometimes. I really am an incredibly sweet boy who deserves a life full of snuggles & fluffy blankets from a patient fur-ever family who will love me unconditionally and NEVER give up on me! I promise I’m worth it, I will love you more than life itself, and the memories we’ll make together will be priceless! Story
Age: Approximately 1 year old Weight: 9 lbs Dog friendly: Yes Cat friendly: TBD Kid friendly: Yes Potty trained: Yes, although he cold weather impacts this. Crate trained: Yes REQUIRED: Confident dog within the home & secure physical fence Hey there! I’m Kahrin, a 1-year-old, 9-pound bundle of pure puppy energy and charm! My hobbies include chasing smaller doggy friends around the yard, showing off my zoomies, and announcing my outdoor adventures with great enthusiasm (yes, I bark at fence passersby—it’s my thing). I’m all about toys, treats, and turning any space into a playground. I’m a little shy and skittish right now, so I’ll need a secure fence and a confident canine buddy to help me settle in. I am still working on potty training & going into the kennel by myself. Once in the kennel I'm golden. Cuddling isn’t my forte (yet), but I do love snuggling up in cozy sweaters on chilly days. Short hair, minimal to no shedding, big personality—what’s not to love? If you’ve got the patience, love, and snacks to spare, I’ll do my very best to be your tiny superstar. Let’s make some magic together! Adoption Fee: $695
