I’m a 5-year-old Yorkie with a big heart packed into my little 6-pound body. I’m pretty laid-back and love nothing more than curling up in someone’s lap. If you’re looking for a cuddle buddy, I’m your guy! I adore being held, and when I’m not snuggled up with you, you’ll usually find me catching some zzz’s. I’m great with small dogs—though I’ve never met any big ones yet. When it comes to going potty, I’m a pro! I great on a routine going outside, but I need a fenced yard because I’m not consistent on a leash. I also sleep soundly in my crate at night, but we’re still figuring out how I do during longer stretches in there during the day. I know the “come” command and am eager to learn more, especially if you’ve got some soft treats for me! I’ll admit, I sometimes bark when new people come over or when the other dogs sound the alarm, but hey, I just want to make sure everything’s okay. I don’t need another dog in my forever home as long as my humans are around most of the time to keep me company. Could that be you? I can’t wait to find my perfect lap and shower you with love! *Please note that some of our dogs are obtained from shelters, surrendered to our care, or released from breeders. Each animal's bio is based on our experience of the animal within our care, an educated guess based on physical characteristics, temperament and information shared. Each dog receives basic grooming when coming into rescue, but for some dogs they have not received grooming attention until recently and grooming may be required shortly after adoption. This will be at the adopter’s expense, so we encourage you to research the breed and be prepared for grooming expenses. Underdog cannot guarantee hypoallergenic or non-shedding qualities of any dogs in our rescue. Some of the animals come from situations where they are lacking experience in a home and confidence in humans. In turn, they require another companion dog and/or a fenced in yard in their forever home in order for them to feel safe. Marvelous Mollie is such a gentle and playful little girl. She was one of 42 surrendered to various rescues from a retiring backyard breeder. She has lived the majority of her life in an outside pen with multiple other dogs. She hoped the larger dogs left her food. She is still skittish but comes up for love and affection when I sit or lie down. She has done wonderfully with her house training as she is taken out on at regular intervals. She is not leash trained yet as she is just getting used to wearing a collar. She will require a fenced area until she learns the leash. She is completely vetted and microchipped. Mollie had beautiful long white hair like a silky, but unfortunately, she was so matted in areas that she had to be shaved. This sweet girl is fostered in E. TN, but transportation is included in the adoption fee. We use Rescue Riders Pet Transport, the most animal friendly transport on the road. Please email us for an adoption application.

He's tiny but mighty, under 5 pounds right now. He's a friendly little dude but is kind of shy upon first meeting. He has been vet checked and neutered and  his fee is $200. Figaro is looking for an adult only home who is somewhat experienced with his breed or similar breeds. He needs a secure environment and will require training in all areas. He should be fine with other smaller dogs and cats. He will require regular grooming. NOTE:  Adoptions are done via private appointment once an application has been completed and approved.
