But read carefully as I do have some behavioral issues and will need to go to a very special forever home. I'm a 9-pound bundle of sweetness, and my name says it all—Awesome Blossom! I'm house trained and have the whole crate routine down, although I've recently discovered the joy of comfy beds and couches. My love for treats knows no bounds, and my humans find my little dances and animated antics quite amusing. I'm a quiet companion who loves being your shadow. If food is involved, count me in! Napping in my cozy beds is a favorite pastime, and I hope my gentle snoring won't keep you up. I'm a good girl, but there's a unique quirk – I'm afraid of touch. However, I make up for it with adorable bumps on your hand and leg, especially if you're fixing my food. I love other dogs and currently share my space with two furry friends. Snuggling with them is one of my favorite activities. Did I mention how much I love to eat? Veggies and fruits are on my menu too, all part of staying healthy! It is very important to know that while some might see my fear of touch as a challenge, others believe in my potential to blossom, hence the name. Some might call me a little anxious.  That being said, I hope to find a patient family that will give me time to come out of my shell.  Not only will I need that but also another dog in the home to help me learn all the necessary things of being in your family and help me gain confidence.  So far while in my foster home, I have been mirroring the other dogs and just started playing with toys which is something I haven’t done before.  That’s a big step for an anxious pup!  I love eating but taking treats from people’s hands is still a struggle.  But my discovery of toys shows that I am very capable of all the good things life has to offer us both. One of those favorites is sunbathing on the deck!  Ah, the bliss of it all! While here I have been going potty both on a potty pad and outside, so I’m a work in progress. I know once I am settled in my forever home and on a good routine I will figure it out. We are working on crate training – not my favorite thing. So, shared walls night be a problem as I like to bark while crated.  Oh and I should mention that due to my anxiety, I’ll need a fenced yard so I don’t zip off in a moment of fear. I’m busy studying the commands and have picked up quite a few: come, kennel, outside and go potty! Overall I’m really a sweet little guy who is making progress and loves being told I’m a good boy. All I need now is a forever family with lots of patience, love and a furry friend to show me the ropes. My name is Challah, and I'm a seven-year-old Yorkie weighing in at a petite 8 pounds. Let me tell you a little about myself. I'm a shy, friendly and curious girl with lots of energy. I am learning every day that people can be trusted. When I'm at home, I enjoy being near my favorite humans and getting all the cuddles I can. I'm still figuring out what toys and treats are all about, but I'm sure I'll get the hang of it soon! I'm great dogs of all sizes. I love adult humans and friendly dogs that like to play—wrestling with dogs my size is one of my favorite pastimes. But I’m not too fond of kids, even older ones, so I’d prefer a calm, adult-only home where I can feel safe. I’ll admit, I can be a bit of a "nervous nelly" and sometimes have trouble settling down unless you pick me up for a cuddle. Loud noises and new things scare me, but I’m learning to be brave! I’m also working hard on my potty training and doing great—I almost always go outside when you take me. Just a heads-up, though, I’m not crate-trained and bark if I’m left in there. I’m not a fan of walking on a leash, so I need a home with a fenced yard where I can explore safely. I get along best with another dog around to help me feel confident, so if you’ve got a friendly pup, that would make me really happy. I might be a little goofy and quirky, but once I feel comfortable, I’m the sweetest little guy who just wants love. I’m a 7-year-old Yorkie, and I weigh 9 pounds. I’m still learning what it means to be loved and cared for by humans, but I’m trying my best every day. I’m a little scared and shy, but I’ve found comfort in following the resident dog here. She’s helping me figure out how to live in a home. I like to copy what she does—it makes me feel safe. Sometimes I spin in circles when I’m feeling anxious, but I also do it when I’m excited for mealtime! I’ve learned to love cozy spots, like soft blankets, dog beds, or curling up in my foster mom’s lap. That’s probably my favorite place to be. I feel safest when I’m close to her, and I tend to follow her around the house. I do prefer women and get a little nervous around men or lots of noise. I’m still figuring out what toys are, but I’ve tried chewing on a bone a few times after watching my doggy friend do it. Potty training is something I’m working on, and I’m getting better with being in my crate. I only bark sometimes, mainly when I hear people moving around, but it doesn’t last long. I need a calm, loving home with another dog who can help me continue to learn. I’m still not comfortable walking on a leash, so a fenced yard is required. I know I’m a bit of a work in progress, but with patience and love, I’ll keep getting better every day. Other than being a little cautious in new situations, I don’t have any other big fears! I’ve never been around young children, but I’m sure I would love them just as much as I love my foster mom! I am working very hard on learning how to go potty outside, and I was doing great, but then it got so cold, and I can’t seem to spend enough time outside to be able to go potty without getting too cold! I am comfortable sleeping in my crate even though I get a little anxious when I first get in. I am not trained to walk on a leash, and I only go potty in my fenced backyard, so I told my foster mom to make sure my furever home has a fenced backyard. I also love playing with the resident pups in my fenced backyard, so I hope I get to do that with another fur friend at my furever home! I like to bark when someone comes to the door just to make sure they are nice! I also like to bark at night sometimes, but not all the time! I have never been around cats, but am a gentle girl so we might be fine.  Though I am cautious of you and who I play with, I know I am the sweet little girl you and your family have been looking for. Puppy is fostered in Athens TN. Out of state welcomed. Transport may be available to the northeast or grate lakes areas and as listed on adopt a pet the transport fee is included in the adoption fee. We use rescue Ridera because they are the best! They always treat our babies with so much love and care! Meet Grinch! This boy is ready for his furever home. Will that home be yours? But for now, maybe a home without small kids would be better as commotion, loud noises and men seem to make me more tense. I don’t have too much desire to play right now as I’m still trying to get accustomed to life in a loving environment.  I’m low key but I ventured out a bit this week and actually played with a toy!  Hold your applause! I don’t really have a fur bestie so I can be an only pet if you’re home most of the day.  Why, you ask?? Well, I tend to have lots of conversation with people and like to voice my complaints to the peanut gallery often (bark bark).  I am crate trained but that darn potty thing is a bit trickier.  However, when you keep me on a good schedule, I feel I’m close to making it happen! I don’t require a fenced yard either, as I’m working on my leash skills.  Granted, it’s got more work to be had but we can do it!  I have put my noodles together and with lots of practice, I know “sit, come, kennel, outside and go potty!” I’m food motivated which is why my noodles are functional.
