Puppy is fostered in Athens TN. Out of state welcomed. Transport may be available to the northeast or grate lakes areas and as listed on adopt a pet the transport fee is included in the adoption fee. We use rescue Ridera because they are the best! They always treat our babies with so much love and care! Meet Grinch! This boy is ready for his furever home. Will that home be yours? He is sweet and playful and loving. He’s approx 8-9 weeks old now and we are accepting adoption applications for him at petpath.org. We think he and his siblings are Chorkie mixes (chihauhua, Yorkie and wire terrier type mixes) and will not be very large. They are about 7 lbs right now and will be small to medium in size. They will bark when they have to poop to go outside so potty training has already begun. They will be neutered and current on vaccines as well as microchipped. Please share them in hopes of finding their families. Apply to adopt at petpath.org

Age: Approximately 1 year old Weight: 6 lbs Dog friendly: Yes Cat friendly: TBD Kid friendly: Yes Potty trained: Working on it Crate trained: Yes REQUIRED: Confident dog within the home & secure physical fence Hey there! I’m Kahrin, a 1-year-old, 6-pound bundle of pure puppy energy and charm! My hobbies include chasing smaller doggy friends around the yard, showing off my zoomies, and announcing my outdoor adventures with great enthusiasm (yes, I bark at fence passersby—it’s my thing). I’m all about toys, treats, and turning any space into a playground.    I’m a little shy and skittish right now, so I’ll need a secure fence and a confident canine buddy to help me settle in. I am still working on potty training & going into the kennel by myself. Once in the kennel I'm golden.  Cuddling isn’t my forte (yet), but I do love snuggling up in cozy sweaters on chilly days. Short hair, minimal to no shedding, big personality—what’s not to love?   If you’ve got the patience, love, and snacks to spare, I’ll do my very best to be your tiny superstar. Let’s make some magic together! Adoption Fee: $695 Visit this organization's web site to see any additional information available about this pet.INTERESTED IN MEETING ME? You can fill out an adoption application online on our official website. Thank you for stopping by to see me!  Please fill out an application to set up  a private meeting.    Hello there! I'm Blossom, the sweet Yorkie with an appetite for treats and a heart ready to bloom. Let me tell you a bit about myself, and I'm sure you'll see the potential for a beautiful friendship. But read carefully as I do have some behavioral issues and will need to go to a very special forever home. I'm a 9-pound bundle of sweetness, and my name says it all—Awesome Blossom! I'm house trained and have the whole crate routine down, although I've recently discovered the joy of comfy beds and couches. My love for treats knows no bounds, and my humans find my little dances and animated antics quite amusing. I'm a quiet companion who loves being your shadow. If food is involved, count me in! Napping in my cozy beds is a favorite pastime, and I hope my gentle snoring won't keep you up. I'm a good girl, but there's a unique quirk – I'm afraid of touch. However, I make up for it with adorable bumps on your hand and leg, especially if you're fixing my food. I love other dogs and currently share my space with two furry friends. Snuggling with them is one of my favorite activities. Did I mention how much I love to eat? Veggies and fruits are on my menu too, all part of staying healthy! It is very important to know that while some might see my fear of touch as a challenge, others believe in my potential to blossom, hence the name. I'm trying my best to trust and be part of a loving family. Due to my fear of touch, grooming requires a bit of extra attention. But don't worry, my foster mom can fill you in on the details. Invest your time with me, and I'm sure the rewards will be plentiful. I might have my quirks, but I'm your Blossom! Let's make memories together. *Please note that some of our dogs are obtained from shelters, surrendered to our care, or released from breeders.  Each animal's bio is based on our experience of the animal within our care, an educated guess based on physical characteristics, temperament and information shared. Some of the animals come from situations where they are lacking experience in a home and confidence in humans. In turn, they require another companion dog and/or a fenced in yard in their forever home in order for them to feel safe. If you are interested in a particular dog whose bio states those needs and do not currently have them, please understand that your home might not be the right fit.  Please use the filter on our Adoptable Dogs page to find the perfect match for your home.    ***Be sure to check your spam/junk folder as sometimes our emails end up there***  Visit this organization's web site to see any additional information available about this pet.If you have other questions about me you can email Underdog Rescue at <inquiries@underdogrescuemn.com> ADOPTION EVENTS:      Adoption events are updated at the top of each dogs animals' as their foster home signs up. Check back for updates on which events they will be attending. If an event is not listed within their bio above, the animal is not planning to attend.  Please understand that all of our pets are in volunteer foster homes and sometimes "life" happens and the foster family cannot make it to their scheduled adoption event. If you are traveling from a far distance to meet a specific animal, please understand we cannot guarantee event attendance. We recommend filling out an application and we will set up a private appointment. Private appointments are only scheduled after an application is submitted and approved. ADOPTION PROCEDURE: The first step in our process is to complete an online adoption application on our website: http://www.underdogrescuemn.com/adoptionprocess/   Note: In most circumstances Underdog Rescue will only adopt within 60 miles of Minneapolis, MN.  All of our foster animals can be seen by appointment with an approved adoption application. Contact us at http://www.underdogrescuemn.com/contact-us/ if you have further questions. FOSTER CARE: All of our animals are fostered in individual homes or doggie daycare facilities. While they are in our care, they are part of our families and given lots of love. We work on training, crate-training and socialization prior to adoption, but each bio is written by the foster as they see them, in their home. Each animal's behavior is evaluated and we have a sense of its temperament and personality, but it cannot be guaranteed. We look for adopters who will give each animal the wonderful life and permanent home that he or she deserves in time and with patience.  If you have an interest and ability to be a foster home, please visit our website  www.underdogrescuemn.com/foster-applications  and fill out a foster application. NUTRITION: Nutrition is vital to the rehabilitation and life-long health of our pets.  All of our foster animals are fed a premium diet such as NutriSource, Canidae, Orijen, Nature's Variety, Fromm, Pure Vita, Stella and Chewy's, Primal, or balanced raw diet.  All adopters are required to continue providing premium diets for the life of the animal. You can fill out an adoption application online on our official website. Thank you for stopping by to see me!  Please fill out an application to set up  a private meeting.  Keep checking back for upcoming events I will be attending!       Hi, my name is Killian and I’m hoping you can help me find my people.  I’m new here and an a little unsure at this point as there are so many changes. Some might call me a little anxious.  That being said, I hope to find a patient family that will give me time to come out of my shell.  Not only will I need that but also another dog in the home to help me learn all the necessary things of being in your family and help me gain confidence.  So far while in my foster home, I have been mirroring the other dogs and just started playing with toys which is something I haven’t done before.  That’s a big step for an anxious pup!  I love eating but taking treats from people’s hands is still a struggle.  But my discovery of toys shows that I am very capable of all the good things life has to offer us both. One of those favorites is sunbathing on the deck!  Ah, the bliss of it all! While here I have been going potty both on a potty pad and outside, so I’m a work in progress. I know once I am settled in my forever home and on a good routine I will figure it out. We are working on crate training – not my favorite thing. So, shared walls night be a problem as I like to bark while crated.  Oh and I should mention that due to my anxiety, I’ll need a fenced yard so I don’t zip off in a moment of fear. I’m busy studying the commands and have picked up quite a few: come, kennel, outside and go potty! Overall I’m really a sweet little guy who is making progress and loves being told I’m a good boy. All I need now is a forever family with lots of patience, love and a furry friend to show me the ropes. Can’t wait to meet you! *I’m a growing puppy and I have not yet had a lot of experience with crates, kids or cats and I might bark if something alarms me, but I really love to learn and hoping for a family who will take me to a basic obedience class to continue to help me build confidence and dog skills. Ideally my forever home would need to be home during the day to help me with my potty training and not leave me for breaks longer than 3 - 4 hours. If you are looking for a best friend, please fill out the puppy application. The more info you include on the application the better so I can find a good match for my forever home. Get your toy box ready! **Obedience classes are required when adopting this puppy from Underdog Rescue. Many of our puppies have a mama who was not properly socialized before coming to Underdog Rescue. Since coming to Underdog, this puppy has been in a socialized and loving home, but that needs to be continued with its Adopters. Training classes teach puppies the ins and outs of being a pet while creating a bond with their new Adopter. Obedience classes are key to creating a relationship with your puppy while having it be a happy and successful member of society. Proof of Obedience Class registration is required for this puppy before adoptions can be finalized. If you would like some suggestions, we would be happy to send some trainers who have experience with Underdog Rescue, but a Basic Obedience class in your area should work! P lease note that some of our dogs are obtained from shelters, surrendered to our care, or released from breeders. Each animal's bio is based on our experience of the animal within our care, an educated guess based on physical characteristics, temperament and information shared. Each dog receives basic grooming when coming into rescue, but for some dogs they have not received grooming attention until recently and grooming may be required shortly after adoption. This will be at the adopter’s expense, so we encourage you to research the breed and be prepared for grooming expenses. Underdog cannot guarantee hypoallergenic or non-shedding qualities of any dogs in our rescue. This puppy requires an application fee. This fee must be paid within 24 hours or your application will be considered void.  We will not review or contact applicants that have not completed the payment portion. Puppy Applications will be responded to within 5 business days, after receipt of the application fee.  Please understand that paying the fee does not guarantee you will be approved to adopt the puppy. Our goal is place puppies in homes that are suited for their individual needs. You may be willing and able to provide a great home, but if it doesn’t meet the specific needs of the puppy, we will not approve your application. We accept applications for puppies until we have a candidate that meets all of the requirements needed for the specific puppy and they have been contacted to review the adoption process as well as agree to all of the terms to move forward. ***Be sure to check your spam/junk folder as sometimes our emails end up there***Visit this organization's web site to see any additional information available about this pet.If you have other questions about me you can email Underdog Rescue at <inquiries@underdogrescuemn.com> ADOPTION EVENTS:      Adoption events are updated at the top of each dogs animals' as their foster home signs up. You can fill out an adoption application online on our official website. Thank you for stopping by to see me!  Please fill out an application to set up  a private meeting.    Hi there! My name is Challah, and I'm a seven-year-old Yorkie weighing in at a petite 8 pounds. Let me tell you a little about myself. I'm a shy, friendly and curious girl with lots of energy. I am learning every day that people can be trusted. When I'm at home, I enjoy being near my favorite humans and getting all the cuddles I can. I'm still figuring out what toys and treats are all about, but I'm sure I'll get the hang of it soon! I'm great dogs of all sizes. In fact, I require a doggy sibling in my new home to help me feel more secure, learn to get on a routine and help me learn to trust people. I'm respectful of cats too, and I always make sure to give them their space. While I'm not potty trained just yet, I'm very close, especially when kept on a good schedule. I'm also crate trained, so I have a cozy little space of my own. I do need a fenced yard because I'm not leash trained and can be a bit fearful of new things, making me a flight risk. For now, I only go outside in the safety of a fenced area. I want you to know that although I am timid, I am incredibly loving and enjoy being close to my humans as much as possible. If you're looking for a sweet, affectionate companion who just needs a bit of patience and love, I'm your girl! *Please note that some of our dogs are obtained from shelters, surrendered to our care, or released from breeders. Each animal's bio is based on our experience of the animal within our care, an educated guess based on physical characteristics, temperament and information shared. Each dog receives basic grooming when coming into rescue, but for some dogs they have not received grooming attention until recently and grooming may be required shortly after adoption. Story
You can fill out an adoption application online on our official website. Thank you for stopping by to see me!  Please fill out an application to set up  a private meeting.    Hi, I’m Clive, a 4-year-old Silky Yorkie, and I'm a bit on the shy side, but I promise, once I warm up, I’m all about snuggles! I love adult humans and friendly dogs that like to play—wrestling with dogs my size is one of my favorite pastimes. But I’m not too fond of kids, even older ones, so I’d prefer a calm, adult-only home where I can feel safe. I’ll admit, I can be a bit of a "nervous nelly" and sometimes have trouble settling down unless you pick me up for a cuddle. Loud noises and new things scare me, but I’m learning to be brave! I’m also working hard on my potty training and doing great—I almost always go outside when you take me. Just a heads-up, though, I’m not crate-trained and bark if I’m left in there. I’m not a fan of walking on a leash, so I need a home with a fenced yard where I can explore safely. I get along best with another dog around to help me feel confident, so if you’ve got a friendly pup, that would make me really happy. I might be a little goofy and quirky, but once I feel comfortable, I’m the sweetest little guy who just wants love. If you have the patience to help me come out of my shell, I’ll be the best snuggle buddy you could ask for!
