I'm house trained and have the whole crate routine down, although I've recently discovered the joy of comfy beds and couches. My love for treats knows no bounds, and my humans find my little dances and animated antics quite amusing. I'm a quiet companion who loves being your shadow. If food is involved, count me in! Napping in my cozy beds is a favorite pastime, and I hope my gentle snoring won't keep you up. I'm a good girl, but there's a unique quirk – I'm afraid of touch. However, I make up for it with adorable bumps on your hand and leg, especially if you're fixing my food. I love other dogs and currently share my space with two furry friends. Snuggling with them is one of my favorite activities. Did I mention how much I love to eat? Veggies and fruits are on my menu too, all part of staying healthy! It is very important to know that while some might see my fear of touch as a challenge, others believe in my potential to blossom, hence the name. Some might call me a little anxious.  That being said, I hope to find a patient family that will give me time to come out of my shell.  Not only will I need that but also another dog in the home to help me learn all the necessary things of being in your family and help me gain confidence.  So far while in my foster home, I have been mirroring the other dogs and just started playing with toys which is something I haven’t done before.  That’s a big step for an anxious pup!  I love eating but taking treats from people’s hands is still a struggle.  But my discovery of toys shows that I am very capable of all the good things life has to offer us both. One of those favorites is sunbathing on the deck!  Ah, the bliss of it all! While here I have been going potty both on a potty pad and outside, so I’m a work in progress. I know once I am settled in my forever home and on a good routine I will figure it out. We are working on crate training – not my favorite thing. So, shared walls night be a problem as I like to bark while crated.  Oh and I should mention that due to my anxiety, I’ll need a fenced yard so I don’t zip off in a moment of fear. I’m busy studying the commands and have picked up quite a few: come, kennel, outside and go potty! Overall I’m really a sweet little guy who is making progress and loves being told I’m a good boy. All I need now is a forever family with lots of patience, love and a furry friend to show me the ropes. My name is Challah, and I'm a seven-year-old Yorkie weighing in at a petite 8 pounds. Let me tell you a little about myself. I'm a shy, friendly and curious girl with lots of energy. I am learning every day that people can be trusted. When I'm at home, I enjoy being near my favorite humans and getting all the cuddles I can. I'm still figuring out what toys and treats are all about, but I'm sure I'll get the hang of it soon! I'm great dogs of all sizes. In fact, I require a doggy sibling in my new home to help me feel more secure, learn to get on a routine and help me learn to trust people. I'm respectful of cats too, and I always make sure to give them their space. While I'm not potty trained just yet, I'm very close, especially when kept on a good schedule. I’m a 7-year-old Yorkie, and I weigh 9 pounds. I’m still learning what it means to be loved and cared for by humans, but I’m trying my best every day. I’m a little scared and shy, but I’ve found comfort in following the resident dog here. She’s helping me figure out how to live in a home. I like to copy what she does—it makes me feel safe. Sometimes I spin in circles when I’m feeling anxious, but I also do it when I’m excited for mealtime! I’ve learned to love cozy spots, like soft blankets, dog beds, or curling up in my foster mom’s lap. That’s probably my favorite place to be. I feel safest when I’m close to her, and I tend to follow her around the house. I do prefer women and get a little nervous around men or lots of noise. I’m still figuring out what toys are, but I’ve tried chewing on a bone a few times after watching my doggy friend do it. Potty training is something I’m working on, and I’m getting better with being in my crate. I only bark sometimes, mainly when I hear people moving around, but it doesn’t last long. I need a calm, loving home with another dog who can help me continue to learn. I’m still not comfortable walking on a leash, so a fenced yard is required. I know I’m a bit of a work in progress, but with patience and love, I’ll keep getting better every day. I weigh around 5 pounds.  I have a little bit of a medical situation that requires some special care, but my foster family says I’m worth it. I have been diagnosed with protein-losing enteropathy (PLE), which means I need to follow a special veterinary prescription diet and eat 3-4 times a day. I also need B12 injections every 2-4 weeks, which I take like a champ. Because I don't have any teeth, I can only eat soft food (my prescription food is a yummy wet food), and I may need a face clean-up after each meal. I'll need to stay on my special diet and keep getting these injections for the rest of my life, but it doesn’t stop me from being the sweetest dog ever! So beyond my medical issues – I need you to know that I LOVE snuggling! My favorite thing in the world is to curl up on a heated blanket and snuggle with my foster parents and my little foster brother. I’m super attached to my foster mom and always want to be in her lap or in her arms! I am still learning how to be a dog, and I copy my foster brother's behavior (good and bad!). I get anxious when I’m left alone, so I need another small, mellow dog in the home for company. Another dog will give me confidence and learn to trust people. I get a little worried around new people. The commotion that comes with kids tends to scare me and I might nip. I really prefer grown up humans.  There are other dog things that I am working on. I don’t like being in a kennel. It scares me, and I will cry until I’m let out, so I’ll need help and patience learning about the crate. We are also working on leash training and potty training, but brrrrr, it is so cold outside, so I haven’t practiced much. I do require a fenced yard in my forever home since I am not leash trained. Despite my little quirks, I am the absolute best snuggler ever. I could snuggle all day long and be completely happy. I sleep a lot and, once I bond with you, I’ll be one of the most loyal companions you could ever ask for. Belle is a very shy girl, and although she’s scared of a lot of things, especially loud noises and the vacuum (yikes!), she’s also the sweetest, most affectionate little lady you’ll ever meet. She loves being close to her humans, and though she might be a little cautious about being picked up at times, she’ll still beg to jump right into your lap. Belle is crate trained, sleeps soundly through the night in her kennel, and will even take naps there if she's not being cuddled. Lewie is a sweet boy that was surrendered to us because the owner claimed to have allergies. He is about a year and a half old and weighs about 17 lbs. Lewie is a little shy at first but then just wants to be loved. He is neutered, UTD on required vaccines, HW tested negative and microchipped. He does seem to be housetrained. He is also a little shy around other dogs but would slowly warm up. He is not aggressive in any way but he is a little afraid at first. He just needs a safe secure loving home and family. Hello! This is Lord Skippington, but we just call him Skippy. He is a sweet boy, but has his quirks. He does like to bark especially when someone arrives or one of the resident dogs barks. He is good with most dogs, but not all. He doesn't like dogs that are in his face. I haven't personally seen him around kids, but his last foster said he was good with them. He will go potty outside, but he does mark, therefore he wears a belly band in the house. He likes to relax on the couch, but also gets little spurts of energy and likes to play. He's very lovey and likes to give kisses. He sleeps with me, and he sleeps very well. He is small and fun and will be a great companion for someone. Are you his new family? I’m a 1-year-old Maltipoo, weighing in at just 7 pounds of fluff and potential. I’ve had a bit of a rough start and can be very scared of people and very skittish, but with patience, kindness, and time, I know I can learn to trust and blossom in the right home. Here’s what you should know about me: I’m happiest when I’m with other dogs, especially my confident furry friends who help me feel safe and teach me the ropes. I love wrestling with them, basking in the sun, and playing with my soft, stuffed toys. While I’m not big on most treats, I do have a weakness for homemade dehydrated beef liver—yum! I’m working really hard on trusting humans, but don’t really like to be touched right now. My foster parent has been helping me learn with gentle cuddle sessions, and I’m slowly making progress. I’m even starting to approach for play and hold their fingers in my mouth—though I still get scared if things move too fast. I do enjoy quiet, early morning tummy rubs, so there’s hope for more snuggles in the future! Potty training and leash training are still a work in progress for me, so I’ll need a secure, fenced yard in my forever home. I’m also a bit of an escape artist, so doors and gates will need to stay closed tight! At night, I’ve figured out my routine—I sleep best in a crate on the bed with the door open, where I can snuggle up near my favorite doggy friend. It makes me feel safe and calm.
