Story
Quirky Greta is a scruffy little terrier mix who is approx. 7 years young, 7 lbs, and looking for her perfect person.  Background: For several days, Greta and her pal Buffy were running around terrified and unable to be caught by concerned neighbors. HARTT stepped in to help trap these girls and they made their way to foster homes where they await forever homes.  Personality: Greta is sweet, cuddly, and loving, but selective with her affections. She chooses her people, and there's no apparent pattern to whom she adores and whom she fears. If you happen to be one of her favorites, she loves you deeply. She'll roll over for belly rubs and give you the sweetest little kisses. Sometimes, she gets so excited to see her favorite humans that her little tail spins like a helicopter, and we're afraid she might lift off the ground! She enjoys playing with soft toys and chewing on bully sticks.  Health: Greta is up to date on all vaccines, spayed, microchipped, and recently had a dental cleaning. Training: Greta is house-trained and crate-trained. She is not leashed trained.  Ideal Home: Greta would thrive in a calm and relaxing child-free home with a confident female owner. (Sorry, fellas, Greta is more of a gal’s gal.) Greta is used to being around other dogs in her foster home, but seems to do better with small, calm dogs. She would likely do well as an only pet. Because Greta isn't a fan of leash walks, a secure, fenced-in yard is essential to ensure her safety. Adoption Requirements: Greta’s adoption fee is $350. If you live in the Phoenix metro area, have secure fencing, and think she could be the right fit for you, please complete an adoption application*: helpadogsmile.org/adoption-application  *Please note that the application is not a commitment to adopt–it is a tool used to help determine if a dog and applicant would make a good match. Applications are forwarded to the foster family for review and follow-up.  December 16, 2024, 3:01 pm

Please contact Constance (connibouchard@gmail.com) for more information about this pet.Rescued dogBiography Important Information Please read! If you are interested in me after reading about me, please visit my site, http://www.breederadoptions.org and follow the instructions. The majority of the dogs we rescue, mostly breeder dogs, have lived their entire lives in less-than-ideal conditions so will need to be socialized, house and leash trained. Most have never lived in a house, walked on a leash, had a treat or sat in a lap. For many of them, their feet have never touched the ground after living for years on wire until they arrive at our main facility where they are evaluated, groomed and given vet care. Most of these dogs are not socialized and need to be cornered to be picked up, so are not suitable for people with physical disabilities or suffer from PTSD. They need folks who will make them the center of their world and help them learn to trust before even attempting to train.  Please do not apply if you do not meet the requirements of the dogs we rescue.  However, they will learn with time, love, patience and most of all, commitment. You must have an ample supply of all of these to reap the rewards of watching these very special dogs become your wonderful companion. We state any known health issues, all are altered unless there is a medical reason not to, which we will advise, any known medical issues addressed, are microchipped, are UTD on all vaccines and have been checked out by at least one veterinarian, usually two. We do not guarantee the health of any of our rescued dogs. The dogs we rescue have lived with other dogs all of their lives and most get along with other dogs. We state if they are dog aggressive. We require a permanent, full-time parent. That means you must be able to spend the majority of your time with your new companion to socialize and train. We do not, under any circumstances, place them in homes with young children as they have not been exposed to children and we do not know how they will react Hi! My name is Keera, and I am a gorgeous Parti Biewer Yorkie girl who is 6 years old, and I weigh 13 pounds. I am as sweet as they come and would make a great walking buddy. If you want a yorkie that's not fragile and tiny, I'm your girl. I ride perfectly in the car and would make a great rv travel baby! I need an adopter who will spend lots of time with me as I am very sweet and social and I would love to be the center of your world. If you have been waiting for a gorgeous Yorkie girl, please ask for me on your application to http://www.breederadoptions.org. Love, Keera 021724-31  November 5, 2024, 9:56 pm

My name is ivy and I am a beautiful Yorkie/Cairn girl who is 1 year old, and I weigh  8 pounds.  I am very sweet, but also very shy. I am dainty, gentle, and love to be petted. I am a quiet girl who loves to lay in doggy beds with the other dogs in my foster home. I will need a fenced in yard because I am not comfortable on a leash. I do love to play so another young dog in my home that is playful is a requirement. Story
Kai is a very special little guy, who needs an invested adoptive home that will help him through his hardships and troubles and make him the best little Yorkie he can be. Kai can be very sweet and loves cuddles, but he does have some special behavioral needs so he would do best in a home without other pets and without children. He enjoys walks and special treats. He has been through many living situations in the last year and deserves a stable, loving home. Don't pass up the opportunity to make this deserving boy your best friend and bring joy your life and Kai's. My adoption fee is $375 and includes the following: -Spay/neuter surgery -All current vaccinations -Microchip -FREE wellness exam through VCA Animal Hospitals -$25 gift voucher from our friends at My Pet Market For more information about me or to schedule a meet and greet appointment, please complete an adoption questionnaire.

Story
We rescued Dolly from the pound about three weeks ago. She was a lost pet that no one claimed. We do not know a lot of information other than what they told us and we can see. We didn't realize she would have to use the restroom so much. We are able to take her out in between work/school schedules (every few hours) but she really needs a doggy door. The person who fostered her before us said once she figured out the doggy door she went potty outside. She is older, the pound said around 10. She has really bad teeth so we moisten her food before giving it to her She is very sweet and likes to cuddle. She gets along with our other dog who is 3 and a pit bull mix. She gets along with us and our kids. We live in an apartment and while our other dog can hold it in between us being able to take him out, she cannot. We have tried diapers, puppy pads and trying to go out more frequently but we think she really needs a home that has access to the outdoors on her time (doggy door).
