Story
Penny is a sweet little girl who gets along well with both dogs and cats. She also knows how to use a dog door to go out and potty. Her favorite things are laying by the glass doors to watch the squirrels and birds and laying in the sunshine. She is very shy but has made some improvements since moving in to her foster home. Penny would make a great addition to a home that is willing to give her a little more time to learn humans can be kind.

Story
NO SMALL CHILDREN and NO DOGS OVER 15 LBS since they are so small. You MUST have experience with the breed and know that they are natural RUNNERS!!!! They will scoot out that door faster than you can blink. There are constant LOST DOG posts daily for these little Yorkies so don't think it can't happen to you. They are pad trained so they never have to go outside and if they do they need ton be on a SECURE LEAD/HALTER and not just running around loose in the yard to be predator bait or sneak out through a tiny little hole in the fence you didn't even know was there (but they have been eyeing that spot waiting for you not to notice!).They make excellent apartment princes (they don't know they are supposed to be dogs. They would love someone home most of the time, but they are young PUPPIES so someone young enough to outlive them and not the other way around and someone young enough to keep up with their energy, too.Do not bother to apply if you cannot commit to their entire lifetime if care. That includes monthly heartworm prevention, annual vaccines, daily brush and their grooming. They have had all their puppy shots, rabies, bordetella are microchipped, neutered, on heartworm, flea and tick prevention. According to his foster mom, he is a bit on the quiet side, is he likes to watch and see what's going on first before he joins in the play. He loves to play with toys, especially tugging games. He's working on his basic puppy obedience training, walking on a leash, coming when called, sit and down. All training is done with treats. The adoption fee is $400.You may apply to qualify with a completed application (MUST HAVE A RECENT VET REFERENCE)atMADISONARF.ORG
