She may be a bit vocal when first approach in her kennel, but once she’s out, her body softens, her ears relax, and she begins to seek gentle affection, even trying to curl into your lap once she feels safe. Still learning to trust, Bagheera thrives with patient, experienced guidance and blossoms with kindness and calm handling. She walks nicely on leash, knows “sit,” and has shown she can coexist with other dogs when given proper structure. This sweet, sensitive girl is looking for a teen-and-up home willing to help her build confidence and show her that love can be steady and safe. Story

Rubi is a stunning little beauty, full of joy and life! She is playful, happy, and wonderfully curious about the world around her. Rubi loves exploring, meeting new people, and discovering everything life has to offer. She has a bright, joyful personality and a sweet spirit that makes everyone around her smile. Life didn’t start easily for Rubi and her siblings. Rubi, along with her brothers Ron, Rudy, and Rufus, was abandoned overnight in a box outside the shelter. They were wet, cold, and very hungry when they were found. Thankfully, our partner rescue, SOS el Arca Animal Rescue, took them in and provided shelter, veterinary care, and lots of love. Since then, Rubi and her siblings have grown into beautiful, healthy puppies. Rubi will be 6 months old in April, which means she will be ready to travel to New York and start her new life with a loving family. She is an affectionate and playful puppy who will thrive in a home where she can continue learning, playing, and growing with her people. Rubi is expected to grow into a medium-size dog, making her a wonderful companion for many different types of homes and lifestyles. She is also crate trained, which helps with potty training and makes the transition into a new home smoother and easier for both Rubi and her future family. Rubi is spayed, microchipped, fully vaccinated, dewormed, and 4DX tested. She is also on flea, tick, and heartworm prevention (Simparica). We are currently looking for a committed adopter or foster-to-adopt home so Rubi can travel to New York on the next transport. Story

Pach is a handsome young boy about 1 year old and weighs around 35 lbs. He has a gentle, sweet personality and a calm nature that makes him a wonderful companion. Pach gets along great with other dogs and enjoys playing with his kennel mates, but he also has a soft and affectionate side and loves quiet moments with people. Pach was rescued along with his siblings and their mom from a construction site where the Mayan Train railway was being built. The dogs were being fed by kind construction workers who reached out to our partner rescue, SOS el Arca Animal Rescue. Thanks to them, Pach and his family were brought to safety where they received veterinary care, testing, shelter, and lots of love. Pach can be a little shy when he first meets new people or is in a new environment, but once he feels safe his sweet personality begins to shine. He would do best with a patient adopter who will give him time to adjust and help him build confidence. Because he loves other dogs, Pach would likely do very well in a home with another friendly dog who can be his playmate and help him continue to learn and feel secure. He is a smart and well-mannered young dog who is crate trained and walks nicely on a leash. Pach is neutered, microchipped, fully vaccinated, dewormed, and 4DX tested. He is also on flea, tick, and heartworm prevention (Simparica). At about 35 lbs, he is a great medium size for many homes and lifestyles.
