Despite a challenging past where he navigated the streets and scrounged for survival, Cassidy's resilience shines through. Now, he's on a mission to find a loving home where he can feel safe and cherished. Cassidy is a dog with a gentle and timid personality. Loud noises and intense reactions make him nervous, and he prefers a calm and serene environment. He needs time to warm up to people and build trust before he feels comfortable and secure. This smart little guy knows some tricks already and is a well-mannered companion during feeding time. He's polite and respectful, showing his intelligence and willingness to please. Sitting on command is just one of the many tricks he has mastered. When it comes to relaxation, Cassidy's favorite spot is snuggled up on the couch or bed. The day I met Malia, on the beach in Puerto Rico, she hopped into my open car door, she got into the car and didn't want to get out! She was determined to be rescued! She was living and surviving with a group of dogs that had obviously been abandoned there. Malia is a good and social dog. She likes affection and to be petted and loved on. She is a dog that would love active people, and who would give her the exercise and daily walks she needs. She has a lot of fun energy and would do great with kids who would play with her or she would love a jogging partner! She loves to play with the water from the hose, Love toys and to chase balls. She is about 2 years old and 45 pounds! Malia completed a training program with a veterinarian in Puerto Rico and did very, very well. He said that she is super smart and knows basic obedience. She is currently enrolled in a Canine Good Citizen class and we are certain she will graduate! If you are looking for a smart, food motivated dog..Malia is your girl! A few months ago there were 6 puppies found that were abandoned in a kennel in an uninhabited house in Vega Baja, Puerto Rico. They have been in foster care since that date when they were about 5 weeks old. They are now almost 7 months old and have grown into beautiful, happy and well adjusted young dogs who enjoy the company of dogs and cats alike! They are all about 17-20 pounds and we don't expect them to get much bigger than about 25 pounds! Rei will arrive in Albion, NY at the beginning of December and we would love to have a family waiting to meet him! Our adoption fee is $400 and unless otherwise stated all dogs and puppies have been spayed/neutered, 4DX tested(if age appropriate), Put on heartworm/flea/tick prevention, age appropriately vaccinated, dewormed, vet checked and flown from Puerto Rico.
