This handsome boy was born the first of March to a young and small mama dog that weighed 35 lb. There were eight in the litter and they are all beautiful and sweet but they had to raise themselves. The small farm that they were born on had a young man that stayed on the road doing his music. He had no time for puppies. Fortunately, a very devoted rescue woman who knew of their plight contacted Critter Cavalry and we have been in search of wonderful homes for this litter. Mr Buck is a handsome 6-month-old born the first of March that weighs 22 lb. He is full of them and vigor and love and cuddles. He wants nothing more than to be a part of your life and invite you to make him a part of yours. He is learning crate training and leash walking. He gets along famously with kittend, children, other dogs and any adults that he meets. He's not a shy boy, although he has not experienced a lot in life He still embraces every new thing that comes his way with enthusiasm and interest. He's going to be about a 30 to 35 lb adult boy that is a perfect size for hiking, jogging, condo or apartment lifestyle or even a home with a fenced yard. He is a whippet/ lab mix that will turn heads with his sleek good looks and athletic body. His very handsome face often has a very serious and investigative look on it as he surveys the world and the things that are happening. He often will wear a sweet smile as he enjoys an encounter and conversation with a kind human that is giving him their time and attention. This boy will be an absolute treasure to have in your life. ‘Ace, here! I love to play, but I also enjoy relaxing at home with my foster family. I'm a quick learner, too. So far, I know "sit", "down", "turn", "shake" and even "kennel"! Killian is a 10-month-old, sweet, happy, and playful boy. He is a typical puppy who is energetic and mischievous, but with training he will develop into a beautiful dog. His potty training has begun and will require work from the adopter. Crate training and routine will assist greatly with this. He is shy at first, but with gentle engagement and treats he opens up quickly! He would greatly benefit from being in a house with another dog who he can learn from and gain confidence. Killian was rescued with his mom and 8 siblings, so he grew up at the shelter and is now ready for the next chapter with a loving home. His brother Buju just got adopted, so it’s time for Killian to follow in his brother’s footsteps. Killian has a chance to come to New York on a transport scheduled for mid November. Rucker & his litter mates had a rough start to life. They were found in a back country road with no houses around. Their condition was very rough shape, skin & bone, mangy and still had a happiness when greeted with a human. He came to rescue and is a happy pup that loves attention & cuddles & hugs. Looking for a home who has the patience to help him with house manners and teaching skills to become the best dog he can be. He/she has been treated, but his/her hair is still slowly growing back and that's why in the pictures it might appear that he/she looks like they have been nibbled on by a moth. Demodectic mange, frequently referred to as Demodex or "red mange", is the most common form of mange in dogs. Demodectic mange most often occurs in puppies with immature immune systems, allowing the number of skin mites to multiply rapidly. It's not contagious to other dogs or humans, and it is easily treatable but can be a lengthy process. There are several different medications (oral and topical) that are used to treat Demodex. Medicated baths are helpful and soothing to help the puppy feel less irritated. However, the very best treatment above everything else is low stress and lots of TLC. We also suggest food that is for skin conditions. Meet Trick! Trickis a 1 year old Whippet mix male. This animal is coming up on a transport to the NYC Area Saturday, October 26th and is looking for a foster home to go into. There are multiple shelters down south that are overcrowded and Louie's Legacy Animal Rescue partners with these shelters to move the animals into foster homes in the North East before they are adopted into their forever family homes.
