Story
Meet Tito! Breed: standard poodle/vizsla mix. Age: est 11 months, est birthdate 2/2024. Weight: 46lbs currently, we believe she will be about 55ish lbs when full grown. Training: crate trained, working on leash training. He is doing well with supervised house training, but will need continued guidance as he has never lived in a home before now. Good with other dogs/cats? Yes, he LOVES other dogs. In fact, we believe he would do best with another canine companion in his new home. He doesn't mind cats. Good with adults/kids? Yes. Personality: He is timid/reserved, but once he warms up to you, he will follow you around and want your attention. He is playful with other dogs. Reason for rescue: breeder release, retiring. Tito would do best with a fenced yard and another dog in his home to show him the ropes. He has never known life without another dog, and he really looks to them for guidance. He has a lot of potential. He needs time, love, guidance, and patience to become the wonderful companion we know he is. Tito is neutered, microchipped, heartworm negative, and current on vaccinations and preventatives. If interested in adding this sweet boy to your family, please message for an adoption application! Story
Please email foster parent at andy_hanson95@hotmail.comHe’s such a goofy pup that loves to be loved and to go on walks. He’s totally content sitting next to you getting pets and will sometimes play (very derpy-ly) but is a little ADHD and loses interest from time to time. He does great playing tug-of-war with our dog and will play wrestle with her too. He is crate trained and often places himself in there to rest when the door is left open. When left unattended he stays in his crate without issue. Below is a little bit more about him:He gets along great with the dogs he has met.Good manners in the houseKnows basic commands (like sit, come, wait, and off, and we’re about 85% there with down). Will sit and wait during walks, but shortly after releasing him he’ll go back to pulling despite using treats to redirect.Working on leash manners, highly scent driven and wants to go 1000 mph, likely due to being a hound type dog.Vocal at animals during walks, will eventually calmVery treat motivated when indoorsNeeds a family that can continue with structured training so he can develop into the perfect boy that he is!

Story
Goose is a purebred Vizsla who loves to cuddle, run around, and be right next to you all of the time. Goose was rescued from a puppy mill, so he has some behavioral issues stemming from prior abuse. He is reactive on a leash toward other dogs, he is reactive towards males that he does not know, and he DOES have two bites on record. He is an anxious dog who becomes fearful due to past abuse, and a random times he can become aggressive. 90 percent of the time he is the best dog in the world, but we are looking for him to have a home that is willing to accomodate his behavioral issues. It is preferred that he go to a home with only one person living in the home, and definitely no kids. With the right love and support, Goose can be a wonderful dog. We are looking to start a family and we can no longer accomodate him or the behavioral problems.

These pups are in York, South Carolina too!

Story
Hello, my name is Lola! I am an English Pointer born 7/18/22. I came to Richardson rescue because my owner died and there was no one to take care of me and my siblings. She has a gentle temperament and we have observed no aggressive issues. Being a hunting dog and living outside, she does have a bit of shyness that her new family will need to work on with her. She seems timid with other dogs besides her brothers so another dog in the home should be fines. Lola is also doing great with walking on a leash and most dogs that have spent their time outside are very easy to house train. A quiet home at first with a fenced yard for her to run and explore would be ideal.  I have been brought up to date on all vaccines and medical, Spayed Microchipped.  If you are interested in visiting or adopting, please submit our application at RichardsonRescue.org.        - Visit this organization's web site to see any additional information available about this pet.December 18, 2024, 1:47 pm

Story
Meet Louie! This almost 2 year old ( DOB 7/18/2022) is an English Pointer. His previous owner passed away and there was no one to care for him and his siblings. Being a hunting dog, he has spent his time outside and will need a patient home to break him out of his shell as he is a bit shy. He has a good temperament and we have noticed no aggressive issues. He would do best at first with a patient, quiet home where he has room to run and explore in a fenced yard. He is doing great with leash walking now and most dogs that have spent a lot of time outside are no problem to house train. He is actually a bit timid with other dogs so another dog in the home should be fine. Louie has been neutered, up to date on vaccines, dewormed, NS microchipped. Please fill out an adoption application at Richardsonrescue.org if you are interested in visiting or adopting. Visit this organization's web site to see any additional information available about this pet.December 18, 2024, 1:47 pm
